I don't think anyone "hates" Sports Authority and/or Academy. And I will absolutely NOT shop there because it ran out a store that I liked!!! That.....and.....I don't ever need any "sports equipment" anyway. But......I guess it is ok for a majority of folks who need to buy groceries to be under-served, so that a minority of some goof-offs, who need golf balls, won't have to drive to Kennesaw anymore. And I don't think that the "people" of Paulding county are going to see, or get any benefit from any of that, "lot's of money" spent there. As this store is based somewhere else I would b

Half Gallon Ice Cream's Shrunk To 56 oz's, And Now 48 oz's
ivylove replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Everything is getting smaller, and yet our stores and most of us are all seem to be getting bigger. How is that possible? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrDuqlk4ZDA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eKYyD14d_0 -
Half Gallon Ice Cream's Shrunk To 56 oz's, And Now 48 oz's

I don't think it is really being done to help keep you healthy. Do you buy into that? I think it is a way of making more money. The amount in the box is less, but the price stays the "same". A lot of people won't take the time to check the weight, and therefor never realize they are paying more for less. Sneaky little trick, I think. Another little trick is making the "packaging" way to big for the product. Once you get it home, you realize it is only like "half" full. The rest is just packaging and air. I think it is just a mind game to make you think you are getting "more" for your -
Praying harder, especially for the children.

Well, I suppose you are right. It is great to have choices. I did like the Kroger and have already found another choice/place to shop again. I am glad you will enjoy shopping at The Academy, and you are right that I will NOT be there. I guess I will shop at Wal-mart from now on for my groceries, and you can shop at the Academy for your balls.

So there were 2 bad wrecks on that small stretch this morning?

I disagree.

Saying my prayers for those involved.

The old Kroger.

I guarantee you, I am NOT part of the reason Kroger left! I hardly ever shopped at Wal-mart before Kroger closed. I always shopped at Kroger. I am sure that I did help contribute to their rent every week, and their prices were the same, if not better, than any other grocery store. They were smaller, and easy to get in and out of, were not overly crowded, although they always seemed to be doing a good bit of business, were friendly, convenient, clean, and had what ever it was that I needed. But from now on, Walmart will be getting all my money, including any sporting goods needs that I may

I need groceries every week, I rarely (if ever, and in fact NEVER) have any need of any type of sports stuff. I am sure if I need a fishing pole, basketball, tent or something, I can find plenty enough selection at Walmart. If they do any business there, it will definitely NOT be because of any of my money! Maybe your money can keep them in business? How many overpriced basketballs do you need per week?
-
exactly!

I also vote that we needed the grocery store there NOT a sports store!!! I for one, will NEVER shop there! Besides, if we happen to need some sporting goods, (which is never for me anyway) we will already be in Wal-mart getting our groceries, so it will be easier, more convenient, and cheaper to just get what we need from Wal-mart.

Does anyone know anything about the woman & 2 kids
ivylove replied to Chelle's topic in RECENT TOPICS
How old did the children look to be? It sure was hot out there today. I sure hope they weren't little children. -
Are they trying to tack on a late fee?

I believe our lack of jobs has more to do with companies moving the manufacturing divisions, to other countries, where they can hire cheap (slave)labor, and don't have to supply any benefits. I don't think it is the results of any "presidents actions".

I agree! I believe her bravery in speaking out has probably resulted in helping many, many people. I am saddened to hear of her passing. One more angel for heaven and one less for earth.

He has a really, really, short body torso. He is all neck and knees.

There is no "reasonable doubt" about this.

I have just now seen this thread. Glad she is doing ok, but will keep her in my prayers still.

Where Is The Ethics? If Sears Comes To Georgia

I don't know, but if this is the case, then it is going to be making Alabama look better and better. I've been kina busy lately and not following the political thread, TP. -
Where Is The Ethics? If Sears Comes To Georgia
ivylove replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It's not just Sears doing this. I have seen numerous undercover reports on tv of Auto Mechanics, and people in the Auto industry, engaged in unscrupulous, and unethical activity and/or actions. Why does this industry seem to attract crooks? Why is it just Sears Auto Repair division, when Sears, for years, seemed to have a good reputation, for having quality products at an affordable price? -
I am also, so glad to see she is doing better. I will be praying for her continued improvement. Thanks CC for the video and update. I was just thinking, what a wonderful friend Miss Jessie has in you! By the way, does she have a computer? I think it would be neat if she could join in on some of the conversations on here.
