Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease
ivylove replied to Spunkywman's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We absorb vitamin D from the sun. People, some years back, spent more of their time outside. Nowadays we spend more time indoors on our computers and such. I think this is why this may be a fairly new prognosis. They may not know what causes it or actually how it harms you, but but I believe they do know how it helps you. And you are right, most people in North America do apparently suffer from it. And I disagree, I think we should focus more attention on it. We need the sun. Here is an interesting article about it: 70% OF AMERICANS LACK ADEQUATE VITAMIN D This is what I found -
I agree with everyone else, she is beautiful!

Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease
ivylove replied to Spunkywman's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think Gipper Girl may have been talking about a video in her above post, but this is what I was able to find on it, so it is really Gipper Girl that should get this thank you. I am sure, I need to try this also, I could certainly use an Energy Boost lately. I hope you get to feeling better and maybe by trying some of these recipes and ideas, you will feel up to singing and dancing again real soon. Just for fun.......here is a video of, (quite possibly, in my opinion) the most beautiful and sexiest man alive. Now this guy has some energy!!!! Here's to regenerations, 2nd times -
Thanks blessedmom. I hope everything turns out ok, whatever is going on.

I found this, I guess this is the one you are talking about. This really seems to have some great information, and from most of the comments that I read, it seems to be really helping people! http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/montel-williams-daily-energy-boost-plan -
Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease

Here is one more interesting video that mentioned about potential bone regrowth in the future. I know this doesn't help your pain now, but at least while you are still looking for immediate answers, solutions and relief, you can have hope and be optimistic about the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNk8GhlBn6I -
Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease
ivylove replied to Spunkywman's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That is very interesting and glad to hear that something so simple and nontoxic as sea salt could save your life. AHHHHHH, the sea, where life began on Mother Earth, right? Human embryos begin life in water also, right? Makes me think, going out in space, to the highest stars, and into the sea to the lowest stars, for knowledge, and answers. Starfish also have the ability to regenerate. We can certainly learn things from the sea, and it's creatures. And..... Keep looking high and low, till you find your answers. I am going to try something here, hope it works........ Click on both -
Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease

How about if we could learn how to regenerate bone and other body tissues? Maybe we can learn something from Newts, afterall. I guess this why ol' Newt can always seem to make a comeback and regenerate himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsCSwVx3GvA -
You are beautiful, even pregnant. Take good care of yourself and I hope you get to feeling better, soon.

Question for those who have degenatrive bone disease
ivylove replied to Spunkywman's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I am wondering if there might be something natural you could eat or take to help rebuild and/or improve your bone tissue? ButterflyLion has been posting lots of interesting info that is health related. -
I haven't read any books on Superfoods, but I am interested in learning more about them. I bet the Bookworm would know of some good books on the subject. Here is a cute little video I found on youtube and this seems appropriate today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnqknvsjDEk

I am so glad to hear this baby is doing well.

I saw something about this on the news. I am saying some prayers for those involved and their families.

I am sorry to hear that you are in pain. Pain stinks! I have never had a kidney stone, but I have heard that is is very painful! (I am gathering this pain is from a kidney stone from your post in the other recent thread) You will be in my prayers. I am just wondering if there is anything you can do, (diet, medication, lifestyle change, etc.) that can help prevent future stones?
-
Adding my prayers, also!

I am also praying.

Just found this and thought I would add it to this thread, in case anyone else is interested in this. http://www.npr.org/2012/01/05/144744439/should-patients-see-their-doctors-notes I always just like to listen to these. http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html?action=1&t=1&islist=false&id=144744439&m=144744431

Why do you believe that the records belong to the provider and not the patient? I am just curious if there is a law on this, somewhere? Didn't the patient pay for their doctor visit and/or records therefore in a sense they bought those records? Wouldn't it be in the patients best interest, to own, their own records? Why wouldn't or couldn't a doctors office make some kind of an effort to call patients before they destroy the records? If you spent your hard earned money, (and medical care isn't cheap), to see a doctor, and put your "trust" in that doctor to look after your best interest

I didn't realize this topic was old. I just saw it for the first time and thought it was a new topic. I think this is a subject worth discussing, as I think it should be against the law for doctors to destroy medical records. Those records, in my opinion, are the property of the patient. You know, this is just one more reason, that I would like to see some kind of national records database, and some kind of national healthcare. If we did have a national healthcare records database, if a situation like mine and yours (S&D Nana) comes up, we could still have a copy of our records.

Just wondering why this topic was closed. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/278232-medical-records-poll/ I found this interesting. I actually do not think that doctors should be allowed to ever destroy a persons medical records without first making a good effort to get in touch with that patient and see if they want them, or need them sent to another doctor. I recently ran into this situation myself, and was very mad because apparently some of my previous mammograms had been either lost or destroyed, and now I may be needing them.

Tuberculosis Breaks Out At Occupy Atlanta’s Base
ivylove replied to onekidmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The way I read it, the TB outbreak happened at the homeless shelter. This is exactly why I think we need some kind of National Healthcare Plan!
