I love my TOM TOM. Don't have a clue how we got by without it before. Really, they probably are all just as good. It is just what you just get used to. My cousin has a Garmin and I can't figure it out. I think my TOM TOM is my user friendly. But he thinks the Garmin is easier. You will not regret the $$ spent.

Topamax now comes in a generic. (Thank God!) You may see reduced hunger from it. You will almost certainly feel tingling in your extremities. But if you will stick with it, it will go away. Your Neurologist should start you on a low does and very gradually go up. That will reduce the side effects. Great medication if you can deal with the side effects. (some of them are good side effects.) And never go off of it suddenly. I wish you all the best in getting your migranes under control.

I think it is a very interesting concept. It would be benificial to talk to someone who had experienced the program prior to doing it. I guess that is the downside of doing something at the beginning. It would be a little intimidating not knowing where you would staying and what the host family would be like. And on the flip side, it would be a little strange having people in your home that you didn't know.

Many of you know that my daddy was a heart transplant receipiant. He lived just shy of 20 years with a strong heart that was donated from a selfless family who lost their 18 year old daughter. We have the same problem with a wee bit of a twist...our son is now Army trained. His argument is... oh, so I can go to Iraq or Afganistan..... but I can't stay out past midnight.
