The tax credit cannot be used for your down payment, but as someone else stated earlier, you can have your 2008 tax refund ammended and you will not have to wait until 2010 to get your money back. And, as far as having to repay the $8000 as opposed to those who got the $7500 tax credit last year. There is a big difference. While the $7500 was a great deal, it was more of an interest free loan for 15 years. The first time home buyer had to repay that

  13. You can't really compare a weekly/daily rate to a teen who is going to be babysitting for you on a weekend night. Generally, I paid $2 per hour, per kid... and then I usually added a little to that. So, if I was gone for 4 hours and I had two kids, I would have paid at least $20. But my kids are grown now. My daughter got paid $3 per hour per kid usually. But she would also have the kids in bed asleep when the parents got home. And most generally she would spend the night so that the parents didn't have to bring her home until the morning. (This was only with people that I tru
