  1. My daughter and I took it at the Kennesaw Michael's last year.
  2. When I took a Wilton cake decorating class they recommended you use egg whites for just what the SUREPIP chef said. Their official recommendation was meringue powder (egg whites).
  3. Audio books were the answer for my child. I was able to go to audiobooks.com or itunes and purchase the books to download on their ipods. My child is an extreme auditory learner and was having massive comprehension issues. After I was able to get the audio books and she could hear the story as she followed along in the books her comprehension grew by leaps and bounds. I weaned her off the audio books and now (2 years) later she reads and comprenends without any difficulty. If you can't find a certain book online you can always read it out loud and record yourself reading it. Good
  4. I'll be seeing it with 6 middle school girls at 7:00 Friday in Cartersville.
  5. Hi! Lots of changes. I can't think of one that hasn't been good. I'm happy to see you again. Are you still grooming?
  6. I'm glad I stocked up on the BOGO deals. I love my morning Eggo with cream cheese or my pre-tennis Eggo with peanut butter.
  7. Google "mystery parties for kids." The theme of the party could be something like, "Who stole Rodolph's nose." You assign roles to the first couple of people to RSVP and they come in costume. The rest of the kids get to be investigators. It's a good way to get the kids to mingle instead of staying in groups. Most of the online parties are around $35.00. They will let you download invitations, script cards, instructions, everything. They really are a lot of fun.
  8. We already know he made the attempt. Yes, it's important we know about the attempt. However, unless he endangered or planned to endanger another person, I just don't see how anyone could benefit by knowing the details. Maybe it's just morbid curiosity, kind of like not being able to take your eyes off a train wreck.
  9. It may be advertised as scratch and dent resistant but do you really believe it? I've seen laminate scratched, bowed, and looking like 50 year old paneling. You can tell the difference when you walk in the door. If you like the look, get it, you are the one who will be living in the house. Personally, I would go with real wood. With real wood flooring you always have the option to have the floors refinished if they get damaged. There just isn't much truth in discount store advertising these days.
  10. What does being a stripper have to do with recognizing people? I would recognize Josh Duhamel in a heartbeat. He is on my top 5 list. Fergie, on the other hand, scares the bejeezus out of me. She seems like she could K.O. Tyson just by slapping him with attitude. I picture Josh as being her pet on a leash. Josh just doesn't look quite as good when he's standing beside her. She just takes something away.
  11. I loved Jamey Johnson. Even my kid said, "Mom, he sounds like he is a good man. I like that he is humble." BTW humble is a vocabulary word this week. This was the first awards show I can honestly say I enjoyed watching. Hootie was great, hosts were great, humor was great, and it was an all around classy event without the typical snores.
  12. If my child has an issue at school I can come here to read previous posts and see if others have had the same issue and how it has been handled. I enjoy advertisements from local businesses that I otherwise might have ignored. It was because of PCom advertisements and testimonials that I first stepped in the door at Rodney's. Right now I'm looking forward to the opening of Bumble Bee Bakery. If I need a small engine rapaired I know I would turn to Subby. If my car was giving me problems I would call Johnboy. Testimonials are like gold.
  13. I'm here for multiple reasons. I'll put them in multiple posts because some may be lengthy. I come for local news as it is given by people of my community. For the most part, Paulding is a tight knit community with a "country" attitude. On PCom I can get information as it relates to Paulding residents. I come on here to get Paulding residents' take on national news. It is very interesting to see how a national event is seen so differently when we look at it nationally and then again locally or personally.
  14. Everytime we watch that show my husband and I appreciate each other soooooooo much more.
  15. I have it on DVR but I don't know how to transfer it to a DVD. I need a copy too. My kid is doing a science unit on energy and force. At the beginning of the race coverage they did a segment on wrecks, safety equipment, and the reduction of kinetic force. They demonstrated it with impact angles and everything. I think I'll check NASCAR.com and see if I can find it there then I can record it from my computer. Good luck. I hope you can get a copy.
  16. IF he feels OK today I'd take him to school but have him see the school nurse before he goes to class. See what she thinks and have her write detailed instructions for his teachers. I hope he feels better.
  17. I need a tennis ball cake for Nov. 21. Can you do it and how much?
  18. Young Chef's Academy is gone. I miss it. Kroger and Publix have classes but they are on the other side of Atlanta. I wish there were some around here. A long time ago Subby was asking about interest in local classes but I don't think he was talking about a teen class.
  19. Oh good God! Those pics are terrifying. Prayers for the officer.
  20. Did I hear, "I got no phone cause im a pot ho?"
  21. Where can we find the fellow who always brought out the flame thrower?
  22. How about limitations? Let's say maybe a poster can only vote in no more than 3 polls a day. That way the troll might lose his luster.
  23. Dylan McDermott Josh Duhammel Vin Diesel Steve Burton Carlos Manoso (Ranger) Joe Morelli
  24. I think it's in the eye of the beholder. Some may see the pics as joy and celebration. Those who've recently suffered a loss may see it completely differently. Personally, I don't have a problem with it. Then again, I didn't recently suffer from the loss of a child.
