This thread offends me and I feel harrassed.

BeachBum?!?! Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaa! Of ALL the Pcom members. Good grief. Gimme a break! She is anything but harrassing. She is a great person and adds a lot here on Pcom. I think there is some jealousy here which would not be the first on Pcom. If you dont want a member to PM you, it is easy and CLEAR how to block just them in particular. This thread looks like a very obvious tattle-tale session and someone wanted the broohaha and attention. Here's your attention. We know BB better than that. Put your big girl panties on. And, if you're a dude, put your big girl panties on. Gah, next

7 year old accused of sexual harrassment

I agree. We are now raising a generation of passive, feminized boys. Cases such as this prove it. -
Nicely written. I do agree with most of what you had to say. I very firmly believe in libraries, mom and pop owned businesses(especially bookstores....they are almost completely gone ) and thrift stores. I buy so many things from thrift, consignment and yard sales. I'm sure it adds up to half(at least)of the total I spend on everything monthly or yearly. However, I do think online shopping has it's niche and is good for a percentage of our population. For me, online shopping saves time which is worth money to me, saves car expenses like gas and wear and tear, and allows me to continue

I knew I loved you ! I feel so naked without my lipstick. Me and my Other Half were backing out of the driveway a few nights ago to go on a date when I discovered.....I HAD NO LIPSTICK WITH ME!!!!!!! Oh the humanity! Of course, I made him stop and I went back inside for it......... . He was baffled . Oh well. -
There were a few of us looking feverishly for the perfect one. Did you find the one you wanted? I ended up making my own. I couldnt find one that I loved. Had the idea for this while I was staring at the ceiling trying to fall asleep the other night... . Made my own tree skirt, too. Only one I found even close to what I liked was almost $70.00. Seems crazy to me and it didnt even look big enough to really ruch up and puddle around the tree...looked skimpy. I made my own for $11 plus about an hour to hem. BTW, all Christmas items(everything!!!) and ALL candles

lol...you are not alone. LOTS of women feel the same way.Remember though, you dont have to be very neat about it. Just get that hair in the brush, get heat on it and pull hard. Neat sections really dont matter. Oh...make sure you get most of the water out of it before you start with the brush or it's lots of work for nothing(should be about 75% dry when you start w/ the brush). As far as your question, the better quality ones can do a decent job mainly b/c they get hotter, heat more evenly and the brush is made of better materials that wont tangle nearly as easily as cheaper ones. A good tip -
I agree. Also, you should serve Sangria cold, cold, COLD(which is a switch for red wine serving). Lots of recipes are almost frozen.

Angel Food Ministries Shuts Down for Good

 Good grief...greed takes over and ruins great ideas that have such wonderful potential to help so many people who really need it. I'm not opposed to ministry or charity leaders having nice things if they have worked hard for them and gotten them honestly, but extravagance not only looks bad but IS bad...tasteless and abrasive to people who are sacrificing to be able to help. -

me too. It's in my moisturizer. My Mother died from melanoma and I am fair skinned so I NEVER go a day w/o it. I use Aveda Color Conserve leave in spray when I'm in the sun in teh warmer months b/c it has SPF in it for both your hair and your scalp. I've had skin pre-cancer on my scalp before. It's a place lots of people forget to cover in the sun. -

My dermatologist recommended Cetyphil for me years ago when I was having constant breakouts due to hormone changes(in my late 20's-early 30's). I swear by that stuff. I really found that I didnt need any Rx's and it did the trick. -
Oh, yes, I def agree and I know that to be true, too. I'm just saying that if someone who is unemployed and looking for a job has the time and ability, volunteering can lead to meeting the right people for the right job. I know not everyone can do it. There have been times in my life that volunteering was out of the question and then other times, like now for me, that it's easy to find the time and I have the ability as one child is grown and the other hasnt been born yet. Soon I'll be back on the "too busy to THINK about it!"... .

just hit me what a horrible day it would be without my diffuser for my curly days and my big, round brush on my straight days. Cannot live without the round brush! I've used ALL kinds...cheap, expensive, professional and not and my favoite by far is Chi's 2" round ceramic brush. It has ceramic in the center which heats up with the blow dryer and gets your hair straighter and more polished. The key to smooth hair is heat, tension and at least one product, like a straightening serum(use 4-8 drops usually on wet and then dry hair). My Chi brush lets me skip the flat iron unless I really want t -
I agree completely. What a perfect time and opportunity to give back. It would surely open more doors to employment than sitting at home filling out online apps.

I used a body cream with elastin in it religiously when I was pregnant with my son. I have never had any stretch marks but that was 18 yrs ago and I'm pregnant again. Lots of changes since then but I'm hoping to dodge the stretch marks again. I've been using Hemp body lotion(you can find it at Sallys). It smells good enough to eat and I've heard great things about the results. Also, I break open a vitamin E capsule, mix it with 15-18 drops of Avedas Beautifying oil (magic in a bottle! been using it 20 yrs. You can use it all over... even in your hair and on the scalp) in my hand and use it a -

Those are some good, tried and true things you mentioned. I have just recently started makine "steams" for my face and neck. Found the recipes in a natural spa recipe book I have. Simple, cheap and they REALLY work great. I'll post a couple of them tomorrow. -
I did this for lots of Christmas gifts this year. $2!!! Got to choose some really nice restaurants, too, that are out of the norm for the people I'm giving them to.

There have been a few threads lately with members asking for good referrences on services like yours. Seems like a lot of folks have been burned by bad or dishonest companies and stuck with a huge bill. I think you have lots of potential here to change that perception. Good luck and congratulations on joining. We LOVE small, community business around here and want you to do very well. Pcom is a super place to get your name out there without a lot of cost. Post a lot and often and you'll see! Oh, and give stuff away... . Welcome!

I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone has to say about this. Might find some good new tricks and products, too. Here are my tried and true "can't live without"... 5.)Aveda Shampure shampoo/conditioner(been using it for 20 yrs). 4.)Sea Breeze- I use it on my scalp after I shampoo and towel dry and on my face after I cleanse. 3.)Loreal Double Extend black mascara 2.)Aveda Brilliant humectant for my curly hair days. NOTHING works like this and it smells sooooo good. 1.)my MAC lipglass lipgloss. My favorite is Lust but it is now discontinued but I have other shades that I

I talked with a salon owner who said women pay with their cash account EBT cards all the time. I didnt think that was possible but it is. In my networking group, a liquor store owner says people buy Patron, etc with theirs(not food stamps but a cash account funded by the Gov on an EBT card). I don't get my nails done anymore to save money. Apparently, so that THEY can get theirs done instead.. .

You are so sweet to say that. Thank you sooooo much. Those things you mentioned haved helped me, too. And, around here, people have learned to move it when I have my hand over my mouth. My neighbors probably thought I was bulemic until I started looking pregnant. The thought of my head in any toilet only makes me sicker...I thought I was the only one so thanks for sharing... . They have told me to eat pretty much all day everyday and it does help maybe a little but anything can trigger me getting sick...ANYTHING. I havent gained enough weight for my drs to be happy(only about 1/3 of what I'm
