  1. Ive seen a few different ones selling those. I think the new KY commercials are funny but I wouldnt want to be sitting down watching tv with my Dad when one came on. ::::cricketschirping::::
  2. I happy for you, Subby about this part of your life. I think its GREAT and you deserve nothing but good things. Our economy is not a State thing but a National thing. We are so oeverly stretched and in other countries business that it is REALLY a global thing and it is ROUGH. Personally, my life is so different from when I worked and owned part of the business making around 3 figures working 3-4 long days a week. Now, I dont work at all(for the first time in my adult life) but my husband works HARDER than any human being I have ever known so that I can stay at home with our new baby(
  3. That made me giggle ! How sweet. They grow up so fast and sometimes it's hard for a Mommy to handle. She's a doll. Happy Birthday!
  4. then theres that Johnny J, too. ......................... I dont have anyone on IGNORE. I have never needed any button to do that.
  5. Thank you and Betty Joe. I USED to know that but it was lost in my mush of a brain in some dark corner. THANKS! thank you...we are gonna keep her
  6. Ive been listening to him all day! What a legend. Happy Birthday, Doggies3!
  7. Thanks Pubby. I tried it again but IDK. Hope you are going well though! Miss seeing you.
  8. WOw! That should be on a very romantic greeting card! ................................. . I have had 3 guy friends since 1st grade. We NEVER dated or even THOUGHT about it(I didnt, at least). They are truly like brothers to me. One even said he couldnt go lingerie shopping with his wife for me when I got married b/c the thought made him feel kinda queesey... . He is probably my overall best friend in life and is in no way a threat to my other half. However, I do NOT go around trying to forge new friendships with men. Everyone is different but that wouldnt work for me or for Will
  9. I treid a few times but finally thre up the white flag and sent Pcom a HELP ME msg. Yes, Mimi only has "clown hair" at her worst. I, however, look like the sat night drunk at mine... .
  10. Im sorry. I used to know how to post videos but my brain is mush these days. lol thank you but oh if you could see me now...bath robe, hair a MESS, baby crying, lookin about like a saturday night drunk...lol...Me, not the baby, that is.
  11. Mimi and Emily(my step daughter) on Fathers Day. That is Will(Daddy) crying in the background .
  12. YES! I have done this a few times. Folly Beach is so much fun for a full day of beach vegging out. Hippie sort of beach that isnt too crowded, very relaxing and fun. LOTS of good food within walking distance with plenty of stops along the walk to shower the salt and the sand off. The downtown market is loads of fun too if you like digging a little to find a treasure at a great price.
  13. I think GoBlue raises a valid point but so do you, Thoughts. Honestly, the highlighted quote above, to me, is so true and just needs to be repeated...so I will. "It's so rough out there that The Rock is wrestling again."-Tracy Morgan on the current economy
  14. I know one of the best. He is a family friend and my doctor. Dr Elner in Woodstock. Worth the drive, I promise. He really listens and cares.
  15. The CEO's won't be happy until they can rob the pension system of vested employees. Big business wants to get out of offering benefits, vacation pay, sick time, retirement, etc. Folks on this board gripe about Unions, but if it weren't for unions, your 10 year old kids would be working in factories for less than minimum wage. In the 1930's, my grandfather worked in a mill for 10 cents and hour, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week with no vacation, no sick time, no insurance or benefits. Its sad when he'd tell stories of working 72 hours a week and going to bed hungry because he wasn't making enough
  16. I absolutely agree with you. "Good " kids dont do those sort of things. I was too afraid in a good way of my parents to get into any trouble at ALL when I was a teen. Not only did they "make believers out of us"(as my Mother used to declare she would always do and she did)but they instilled a level of respect that kept us from foolishness that would hurt, scare or embarrass them. Teenagers don't HAVE to rebel. We sure didnt. We might have on the inside but we never let Fay and Gene know about it ! I hope I can be the same way with mine.
  17. If we take all the good people away from any given area whether it is a school, a neighborhood, a state or even a country, what will we have then? Be the salt and the light!
  18. Just highlighting that sentence should make the point I want to make.
  19. I have a WRNG tshirt! It is sooooooooooooooooooooo early 80's . No more Neal= for Me. I listen EVERYDAY. I cannot stand it when Belinda eats on the air! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! DRIVES ME NUTS! She was a client of mine in the salon for MANY years and she is very nice and always a joy to be with but UGH! I was always so tempted to say something about the on air CHEWING... .
  20. Three magical words on yummy salmon- WOOD FIRE GRILLED. Ahhhh! Its the BEST way to cook it. Add some homemade hollandaise, grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
  21. Its always funnier when you cant laugh. Thats what made me think of starting this thread. I love watching Conan. He seriously makes me laugh so hard....its just my kind of humor(usually). The other night I couldnt sleep and turned it on with the volume down low. It was so hilarious that I had to get up and go in the livingroom to finish watching it b/c I was waking Will up. He looked at me with one eye open like" it's 2 am- what could possibly be FUNNY?!".
  22. I was raised to be careful to never "wear out my welcome". I find its much more comfortable for everyone when we visit to stay in a nearby hotel. I do have one cousin who, like me, LOVES to entertain and she would be heartbroken if we didnt stay at their house. I have never stayed in anyones home more than about 3 nights and I try VERY hard to clean up after my family and help out however I can. Also, I tell them up front that they do not have to entertain us the entire time. That can be so irritating when you have guests no matter who they are. I know they still have things to do and they a
  23. You know, SW, Mom always said that she never wouldve believed that she would love anything more than being our Mother but she did and that was being a Grandmother . I know you love your daughter even more for blessing your life with that little baby. I hope she has a great day and at least takes a break for a few minutes! That is exactly something I would do on my birthday, too... .
