I think about this very often when there is a new story of someone who has a sharp mind and an able body but use both to do corrupt things. It really is such a waste of God given talent and blessings.

We are having such a great time and enjoying every single minute with Mimi. Age and experience make it a lot easier to go on less sleep and a huge change in life as we knew it. We can't remember life before her . She's 2 months old already...

LOL! I clicked on this thread thinking I was about to read something like that.

My first month living here in south Ga., I was getting ready for bed and felt something stuck to the back of my leg. The sundress I was wearing has little round sequins on it and they come off here and there in the laundry. I felt of it and thought it was one stuck to my skin. I tried to pull it off and nope, it wasnt moving. What the...?! Yep, it was a BIG tick. TOTALLY grossed me out. I think I had gotten it the same day b/c I had been walking thru lots of leaves and trees. They can paralyze if they are left on the skin for a period of time. Definitely nothing to mess around about but

I love this show- both versions. I think I caught a few mins of this one but didnt realize the girl was local. Maybe she should have been on Bridezillas instead... .

I know of all people, you have the heart to forgive such an error on my part as being just too darn busy to Pcom(and a lot of other things, too!). After having such a rough pregnancy and being on bedrest for the last 3 months of it, I had a long list of things I couldnt wait to do. Now that I feel great again, I'm doing them. Gardening for one. I'm having a great time learning about what will grow well way down here in Valdosta and my plants and flowers are looking beautiful. Not to mention the ongoing house projects we have. Lots of work but the reward makes it fun and so worth it.

I can honestly say I've never dreaded a single day of my profession...hairdressing, massage therapist. But, if I could make a good living working with the elderly, I really think I would get so much out of it and love everyday. I do love being a stay at home Mommy right now and I NEVER saw myself doing that. Everyday is precious with her.

I can just see The Postman in a fur coat ice fishing and Pubby wearing the standard issue LDS "modesty underwear" now. It isnt exactly the most flattering mental pic, but I mean who looks hot in that stuff anyway???... . WHAT?! You mean I MISSED IT?!?!? AGAIN?!?!? Man, those tunnels really are ingenious.

Thinking back, I remember my best friend in middle school being in pageants and they were truly nothing like what we see now. They were more like the ones you described. She won a lot of them and won various awards in others. She saved the money she won and got mulitple scholarship prizes that she used to pay for college years later. She has never been especially "girlie" although VERY naturally beautiful. She just realized back then that it was a fun way to save some money for college. I sooooo agree with you! It's sick . Who sexualizes their little girls and then calls it "fun and family friendly"? I have always said I would NEVER even consider it if I had a little girl. Now I DO have one and let me say- NEVER. All of these crazy parents say "they" arent the "bad ones" like the others. Not buyin' it.

I've been so busy and away from Pcom so I totally missed this til now ! I will be praying for you. I KNOW how it feels to have to be confined to a hospital bed/room. It does get old quick. It gets lonely in a way you wouldnt think of unless you've been there. Those beds are hideously bad...I know what you mean! I literally limped home after each hospital stay because of the beds. Please know that people are believing with you and praying for you. Update us when you can but focus on doing whatever you have to to get better.

That is so true...even more than I would have believed. Not an easy road to travel but so worth it. BTW, my Mother had an accident and lost a baby at almost 7 months pregnant before she had me. She and my Dad were stringing lights on the Christmas tree when her ring finger slipped into one of the empty light sockets and was shocked(this was in the late 1960's with the big, hige, dangerous lights). Said she felt it from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. By the next morning, they had to take the baby. Heartbroken could not describe how she felt. They really gave up and eve
