Ryan went into shock from an allergic reaction to a sting. They're not sure exactly which species, but the rock fish is the leading suspect. Thank you for your prayers. He is missed every single day. From his eulogy: (with author's permission) "We will grieve for you forever, our hearts may never mend, But as is true of ALL great men, you are now a Legend. Today we salute your passion, and to honor your legacy, We will live out loud like you did, we will live our dream."

Great idea for some extra cash!! I will be happy to offer local advertising, political or otherwise, on the mom-mobile for the right price.

I was wondering about taking the kids there. Any sign of snakes? I'm really concerned because my kids are fearless when it comes to critters, creepy-crawlies, and such. I am NOT.

T-SPLOST says they'll fix it. But since I'm against the tax, how about people just slow down and DONT turn left on the yellow light because you know some idiot isn't going to stop.

75 North, there's a Pilot at the exit past Tellus museum. I don't know what they are today, but I know that almost everytime I'm up that way, they are ten-twenty cents cheaper then Dallas/Hiram area. I

Replacing Central Unit: Natural Gas Or Electric Heating?
Magic Mommy replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If I were buying right this second, I'd go with gas and lock in the cheap, off-season rates. I have gas heat and stove and electric everything else. The power is my highest bill. In the winter, we're very comfortable and we've never had a gas bill more then $100 a month. I've been in this house for almost 8 years. My highest power bill in the past, has always been August and in the neighborhood of $300. We switched to a different power plan and now average around $150 a month, but with some major changes on consumption. Of course, we're not comfortable at home during the heat of the day -
For my crowd: Home made pizza and store-bought lettuce for the salad...but I want to go to surepip's. That sounds yum!

Gotta jump in on this one....I recently switched to a prepaid plan with Greystone and in the past three weeks, I've averaged $3.42 a day. Until this past Friday, i've doubled to above $6.00 a day since then. My husband blacked out the windows to the point that its dark in the daytime, we use the ceiling fans and two box fans and unplug all "lessor" appliances when not in use (including the TV and computer). I also have two AC units and had the downstairs one off until Friday. Yes, OFF. With the fans and the windows blocked, it got to about 90 downstairs. I didn't cook until after dark wh

A dear friend is one of the teachers here. If I needed childcare right now, I would also put my kids here. And to the original poster....CONGRATS!

Saw a sign at the school across the street that offered fireworks parking for $3.00...that's in my price range! This sounds like a ton of fun!

Those parents must be sooo proud. I sincerly hope charges are brought, but do not expect anything to happen. After all, "they're just children", yet these are our future leaders, folks. Mob mentality in full force even in middle school.

Just in case it ever happens....YouTube that for me...I DON'T want to miss that!

any info on this? They caught a guy in early May in the woods off Cochran Ridge (I won't say exactly where). He'd been stalking the homes to learn occupants patterns and then breaking in at his leisure. I saw one of his spots in the woods, set up like a hunter with the brush piled up around it. Very creepy, but caught due to an alert homeowner who saw something that didn't look right and called it in.

If you put a camera up, make sure to hide it and leave out "bait". Worked WONDERS for me and SOLVED the problem. Few parents argue when they see their perfect child on camera committing petty crimes. Sending you my best wishes. -
I adopted a Navy Sailor in honor of my nephew. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! This is a constructive way to honor his memory and I am very excited. My Sailor is a girl and she happened to be in port for 24 hours when I received her name and email. I sent her a message quickly, just a short note that basically said "thank you" and she was able to respond before leaving port. She gave me her ship-email, so I can keep in touch. She also requested "anything" so if anyone can steer me toward those lists of accepted items, I'd appreciate it! Thanks smb, this makes me feel better in so ma

I had the right last name, and my neighbor does own a roofing company. His is A Plus, and his name is Mark and I see him daily so I know he actually lives there. The one in the article is not who I am referring to. I have no idea where he lives. Sorry for the confusion. I'm not a paulding native, sorry I got the names wrong. As for the article/campaign, I have no opinion. I've been out of town during this entire event. I will now read the updates and I promise not to comment unless I actually know what I'm talking about. -

Nope, that's Mark, my neighbor for 8 years and a GREAT guy. -
Just rented a minivan from Budget ATL for ten days. It was right at 600 with unlimited miles and when they found out it was for the funeral of my nephew, a Navy Diver, they upgraded us to the luxery version at no extra cost (it was a VERY nice van). My insurance covered me on the rental, and we spent far less on the gas then I budgeted. Your budget is the same as mine was but I had five people to worry about. Prayers for your safe trip and for your family member.

If you could do anything when you grow up..
Magic Mommy replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Its hard to figure it out now, but you know you'll get there. The best part is, this is America. We can re-invent ourselves at any age. Hang in there, you WILL thrive one day! -

GREAT topic. This very subject has been heavy on my mind recently. When I was little, I wanted to be an archeologist. I've seriously been considering going back for a Master's in Science, to the point that I'm ready to apply, but I can't decide between geology and anthropology. Either way, I WILL live that dream.
