  1. I don't personally know anyone who handles tax issues. I would recommend going to the website for the State Bar of Georgia - www.gabar.org - and looking in the member directory (the link is on the left side of the page). You can search the member directory by section and select Tax from the drop-down box for Section. Good luck!
  2. That sounds really good. I'll have to try it sometime (though without the nuts - my son is allergic to all nuts!). Thanks for the idea.
  3. I've seen some really good recipes on here lately, so I thought I'd see if anyone else out there makes bread at home. I've been making my own bread off and on for the past few years, but I haven't really found a good recipe yet. Anyone have a good recipe? Or any tips about making great bread?
  4. My son started with One Goal Sports last fall, playing soccer. He is currently playing basketball with them, and is registered for soccer this spring. So far we have been very happy with the organization. Things run very smoothly. It is non-competitve, so the kids really have fun and don't have the pressure that sometimes arises in youth sports. If that's the kind of team you're looking for, they will probably be very happy with One Goal Sports.
  5. I've always preferred staying on property, mainly because of the ease of transportation and the meal plan deals(we like to travel in the fall when the meal plan is usually free). If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. I also have a family member that offers great deals in that area through her travel agency. I can PM you her information if you'd like.
  6. It always seems to be down more than it is up. I got in yesterday afternoon, and it seems to be working today.
  7. Be sure to call me when you get your next ticket!
  8. My prayers for your family. Glad he came home. Best thing now is communication and planning. Apologize for the things you said and talk to him about what you both need to make this work. Plan who does what and when. You need to try to support each other through this. And do try some cereal in the bottle if you use a bottle. My mother told me that for weeks before I finally Listened, and it worked like a charm. Good luck to you both.
  9. Done. And will continue praying for them. I hope they persevere and come out stronger.

  11. Pat has done some work for me, and she did great work at very reasonable prices.
  12. Having worked with emergencies responders on several of these wrecks, the decision is usually based on the type of injury. Certain types of injuries, especially those that are most likely to worsen quickly, such as head injuries, are going to be flown out almost every time. Most of Paulding Co. is just too far from a major trauma unit to take the risk of ground transport. They put these protocols in place for worst-case scenarios, because someone can be on-scene and cracking jokes one minute, and be in distress the next.
  13. I will be praying for all of you. Hopefully he will begin to improve, but I pray that, if he needs the transplant, a kidney will be readily available for him, the surgery will be succesful and he will have a speedy recovery.
  14. I would like that. Please send me the information about it and will make arrangements.
  15. I would love to, but I already have a client scheduled then. Maybe I can join you next month.
  16. It looks like it isn't lawyers looking for money, it's lawyers and professors trying to force the government to have absolutely nothing to do with religion. Notice that the suit was brought by the professors and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. They aren't seeking money or damages of any kind, according to the article - they are trying to stop the academy from sponsor a "religious" event. And they have case law on their side. The scope of the First Amendment has been expanded so much by the Supreme Court. The First Amendment actually says, "Congress shall make no law respecting
  17. Thanks for the welcome, Grey. Just remember, it's not only the ones who have already been caught and convicted that we need to watch out for - they've already been identified and it's much easier to stay away from them. It's the thousands that no one has a clue about, the next door neighbors, the best friend, the uncles, the babysitter, etc. How sad.
  18. Quite welcome Mei Lan. I hope a lot more people start paying attention, and lot more parents start watching their kids. It's amazing how many parents let their kids go off on their own. I always keep eyes on my own son. I've seen cases of things happening here in Paulding in restrooms at well known restaurants. You never know where something can happen. It only takes a moment for someone to touch a child, take a child, or just show something to a child that will haunt them for a long time.
  19. If you want to try using the forms, the IRS tax forms and publications are available at irs.gov. Just do a search for each year.
  20. Did anyone see the story on PBA 30 this past weekend about child traffiicking in the Atlanta area? They included an airing of Whitestone Studio's short film, The Candy Shop, which shows the extent of the problem, and how it is so prevalent and difficult to stop. A synopsis of their report can be found at: http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/wabe/news.newsmain/article/8108/0/1755812/Sex.Trafficking.in.Atlanta/The.'demand'.side.of.Child.Sex.Trafficking..in.Atlanta The most shocking this about PBA's broadcast this weekend was the statistics they presented. The study they discussed can be fo
  21. If he did this to you, he's probably not worth the time spent crying about it and missing him. Focus on school, spend time with friends, and do things that will help you laugh. Laughter can often be the best thing, even if it leads to you crying. As time goes by, the pain will start to fade, and your heart will heal. Keep your chin up!
  22. Looks beautiful. Isn't it also so wonderful to finish a large project like that?
