Get it replaced. Not only will the crack grow larger, but if the car is tapped the wrong way or hit lightly, it can shatter. Too dangerous to take a chance.

Other than Highway 61, what other roads in the area have a 55MPH speed limit?

It is quite predictable what one will read here, and the OP should already know that. Given that reality, asking what others think serves no useful purpose in this case.

Agreed. And I find it interesting how the worship of athletes and entertainers here is justified on their "merits." BTW, what has Paris Hilton done to merit the attention she gets? Or various members of the Kennedy and Bush families who were never elected to public office? Or reality stars, as mentioned above. Arrogant claptrap. Not at all. The reality is that proper grammar and spelling are necessary for this world, whereas cursive is not.

Schools are not going to take the considerable time necessary to teach children to write cursive, because they may or may not read their grandma's personal letters from the attic. Beside that, reading cursive is a much easier skill than writing it. That can be taught to oneself fairly quickly.

Of course they will, but not from the original cursive documents. I am sure that practically everyone here studied the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution from reading printed copies in books, not cursive reproductions. Sure, we saw those replicas a couple of times (usually noting the "funny way" in which some of their cursive letters looked), but our studies of the contents of the documents was always from printed versions. Certainly this was true from at least the end of World War II, if not earlier.

Um, no...the standards themselves do not list cursive as a required learning objective. Standard ELACC4L2 listed above is the objective. Cursive handwriting has been gradually deemphasized over the past 15+ years and was discarded with the new standards. This is not something that the schools did in isolation; it was done because it reflected the discarding of cursive writing by society at large.

We don't really know that a Publix is going in at 278 & 61, do we? All we knows is that someone said so here. No real confirmation has been made, right? It does seem hard to believe at that specific location, for reasons already stated here.

But it is not the same "up here." Here (and in Florida) Publix is quite popular for all kinds of food, and it continues to expand its roster of locations. Not just ethnic food, but all kinds of food being purchased there.

Leave in the cart and let the cashier scan. Actually, at Publix, at least, they usually don't scan it. They just enter a code on the register. I think that the experienced cashiers know the codes of the popular large items by heart.

Same here. In the early years the hold time was excessive, but in recent years they saw the competition and really shaped up. Almost never have had an outage in ten years, and customer service for the past 6-7 years has been noticeably better.
