  1. Option B is the closest of the 3 to the idea of "year round" schools.
  2. The biggest problem that I have with C is the totally off balance layout of the breaks. A buttload of breaks before Christmas and then nothing of consequence again until Spring? January and February are notoriously hard for kids and they want to make it harder by removing the break? B has the most balanced break schedule.
  3. But at least you make the effort and let them know.
  4. That's not what is best for the kids. Might be best for the finances ... not for the kids.
  5. It is so far beyond my ability to comprehend ... why can people not do this?
  6. I actually like option B the best. Option A is ok. Option C is horrible.
  7. Not before more snow is forecast, though. (Tues./Wed.)
  8. It actually ends up being less expensive over the long run for a law enforcement agency to use take home cruisers. And as pointed out already, some specialized units are assigned take home cruisers. Many of the specialized units are on call and need to be able to respond directly to whatever is going on.
  9. Domino's on 61 (Food Lion shopping center, maybe) is hiring drivers, CSRs, and Assist. Manager. Michaels Crafts is hiring. JC Penney is hiring. Kmart is hiring. Murphy USA is hiring. Not sure if any of them would fit your interests, experience, availability but certainly worth checking out.
  10. You know, there was no need for me to go there with my response. Just because somebody else feels the need does not mean that I should follow suit. Y'all, please disregard the "snarky" in my response.
  11. I think it is now called The Still.
  12. And (pay attention, now) you see where I said that I did not know if that was the case in this situation or not so I wasn't laying blame anywhere. Just following up on an earlier post. And I will add ... people do get incredibly stupid around emergency vehicles. It's amazing there aren't more wrecks as a result.
  13. Exactly ... POV equipped with lights, etc. is not a legal emergency vehicle. Don't know if that was the situation in this case but sure sounds like what may have been the issue.
  14. We LOVE West Atlanta Pediatrics. Dr. Young and Chad are our favorites. No clue if they do Kaiser, though. That whole Kaiser/Wellstar thing is really messing things up for a lot of people.
  15. And that particular facility has a lot of staff that has been there for a number of years.
  16. Yep ... this wind chill map should make a few folks shiver.
  17. We go to Game Stop for games ... good to know of a place for repairs, though.
  18. That's the difference between heat pumps and furnaces.
  19. If there's no garage and no basement, pretty safe bet it is in the attic. Older houses have had them in closets, though.
