cool!! if I could give you a word of advise though... set regular work hours so you dont end up like me.... my hubby dragging me away from my desk at 11pm kicking and screaming!! also.. I have to worry about my commute.... I have to look out for the speedy racecar (younger sheltie) and the slow poke suv (elderly sheltie) causeing traffic jams.... but then I know the drivethrough (my kitchen) that makes the best egg sandwiches in town for brekkie

okay... someone good with math... if they have to make up the days and they decide to add time to the end of the day.... then how many minutes will be added per day they miss for snow.... .... starts having flashbacks of "if the train leaves the station......."

thanks!! I am sure there are parents who will appreciate all the help they can get!! my son brought home stuff from school in case schools were closed today but nothing further..... I am going to come up with busy work for him.... going to get him to go outside and write a page narrative about what the weather looks, feels, smells, and sounds like. he likes to write anyway (he wants to be a novelist) and I told him that the description will help in july when he is trying to write about snow.... and it will help a bit with his writing skills.... any other ideas??

thank you everyone for all the great websites!! maybe we should start a thread with all of the website info and other tips for helping the kids to keep up.... also... would it be possible for any teachers on here to send out worksheets or such to help the kids out?? just thoughts... as much as the kids are loving the snow today... some will start getting a little tired of it in a couple of days and they will need things to do... I know homework is not a favorite but it will help keep them up with schoolwork and it might give the parents a little peace for a little while!!

Thought I would go ahead and start it.... I have not heard an official word yet but I am not planning on sending my son to school tomorrow... even though the road crews are working really hard today... and I appreciate all they are doing... there are way too many back roads to get them all done in time... and my son's school is down a tiny, twisty road (SPHS)... Anyone heard anything official yet??

we are open today.... but as we do a majority of our business online and all of it from our home..... have a webinar at lunchtime today and will be working in my workshop later this afternoon and evening provided we keep power (sitting her looking at a darkening of the clouds to the west.....)

5 shelties... 4 like playing in it...but the other one went out and pottied then came back to the door shivering... but then he is elderly... I let him right back in.... 3 of the ones who like the snow were eating it but the other was just running around barking like there was nothing there... only left them out for a short while... did not want them to get too cold...
