nothing here yet... but I am starting to feel it in the air now...

okay weather.com is saying it should start snowing around 5:00... that is in 15 minutes.... guess I will have to start running from window to window now....

nothing here yet (61S between Nebo and Dallas Nebo).. but the radar shows we should be getting a good bit... so it is saturating the air now...

Looks like the radar is showing stuff moving into the county but it is probably not making it to the ground yet.... Okay folksies... who is the first one to get something making it to the ground and what are you getting?? rain, sleet, snow, butterflies?? enquiring minds want to know...... I agree completely fact... there was a shooting fact... people got hurt and killed fact... a 22 year old man was arrested fact... this happened outside a grocery store fact... one of the people shot happened to be a congresswoman fact... the shooter has not spoken to anyone about his motives fact... the shooters own youtube and myspace lists some extremist views and literature he subscribes to fact... the shooters ramblings both verbal and in writing on those two places lead one to believe he could be mentally ill fact... despite authorities searching, they have admitted that there

everything here is done... and if we dont have problems with power, then I will work (we work from home).... and if we do have problems... I have my flashlight and kindle all charged and ready to go!!

lets not let a little thing like "waiting on the facts" or "not rush to judgement" stop us!!! lets just drag people unrelated to what happened into the mix so that we can tie them by association (even though there is no association) and if we get enough people linking the two then hey...... thanks for the tip... mine are shelties and they get very offended if you ask them to go out when it even LOOKS like it is going to rain!! I am going to let them play out all day today because they are going to have to stay indoors for the next couple of days except to go out to potty a couple of times each day... but one of my shelties is elderly and a little stiff moving... I may end up carrying him up and down the steps just to be safe...

I have a half bag of pool salt left from the summer.... will that work on our back deck to keep the doggies from slipping and sliding when they go out to potty?? I was planning on trying it out once there was ice on the ground but if someone knows it will work I will put it out this evening before it all starts....

question... do the hotels here have generators?? I was thinking that people who are on oxygen or other medical equipment that needs power might want to think about going to a hotel.... I know when my mom was alive she had plans to go to one of the hotels in hiram if weather like this came up so that her oxygen machine would have power.....

we bought a jar of instant coffee so all I have to worry about is heating water on the fireplace

thank you for the reminder... sometimes we dont stop and think about these things... we are more used to preparing for heat stroke than we are freezing weather and really need to stop and think...
