Well why not name the bar? You started the thread. People told you that you can serve alcohol at 18 with a permit. As long as the employees serving the alcohol are 18, the place is doing nothing wrong. Yeah, it's messed up that you can serve at 18 but not legally buy it. It was 18 not so long ago. I believe the age to drink flip flopped a few times between 18 and 21, finally going to 21 during the 80's. It has been that age since then. In my opinion if you can vote or die for this country at 18, you should be able to buy alcohol.

Up your nose with a rubber hose. LOL I loved those sweat hogs. Oh and I can not forget his body in staying alive. Me oh my!!!!! Saturday Night fever is my favorite movie of all time. I still have the soundtrack on vinyl, and it isn't all scratched either. I just need a needle for my turn table.

Prayers being sent his way. I love watching football, but it can be a very dangerous sport. : (

I was totally in love with him when he was younger. I could sit and watch Urban Cowboy every day, because I just think he made one hot smoking cowboy.

That's sad, because you know it has to be pretty serious for life flight to come out. Was it a football player? Do any of you know yet?

So very sorry to hear this. I have been there, and it is literally losing a part of your family. Mine was a dog that my parents got when I was 14 and he lived until I was 32. It was cancer as well. I just have my cat, but I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and he's 5 now. I do not know what I am going to do when that day comes with him. He's a cat, but he's like a dog that follows me everywhere.

Marijuana Grow Operation Discovered In Home
mspris72 replied to michelay1000's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It happened in a neighborhood off of 166/92 in south Douglas co. Are any of you familiar with where the Boundary Waters complex is located? It's right in that area. Better than that, I believe it is directly across the road from the New High school that is under construction. People live there, but were not at home. I 1st thought maybe it was an empty home being used for a grow house, but people in the neighborhood said it was occupied. They also said they had suspicions about them selling drugs, because of the non stop traffic that quickly comes and goes. Also this is not the 1st time the hou -
Where at off of 78 do you turn to go there? We took 78 back home from Heflin AL last yr, and I looked for the signs going through Haralson Co. I never did see it. We bought a big 10 person tent with a screened in porch on it last yr, and have used it once. I want to go camping again, but I want to stay close to home.

You can get a permit to serve alcohol at 18. My Daughter worked at Outback steakhouse at 18, and she could serve alcohol to customers. She just had to go to city hall, pay $25, take a short test and they took her picture for her Permit ID. She worked at the one by Arbor Place, so she went to downtown Douglasville's city hall for the permit.

I can't say that I ever recall a teenager who wasn't unruly at some point. I assume he is still sitting in YDC? I haven't heard anything today in regards to any upgraded charges, or when he will go before a judge. I am guessing that the terroristic threat charge may be the one they use to charge him as an adult, if they do decide to do that.

We grilled steaks, baked potatoes and cheese bread. Later I got bored and baked a cake. Just a box cake this time. I save the homemade ones for get togethers. : ) Tonight it will be catfish and Tilapia. Not sure yet what I am going to fix with them. I thought about homemade french fries, but I forgot to buy a bag of potatoes at the grocery store yesterday.

As much as I dislike Obama, Indonesia is not his home state. He was a boy when his Mom married Lolo Soetoro, and they moved to Indonesia. He wasn't born there.

LOL @ Farmville. I saw this story on the news last night, and just shook my head. Just an act of desperation on Dekalb co's part. Anything they can do to bring in a dollar right now, even if it means going after an older gentleman for having a garden. He said he gives a lot of it away, so the county should look at him as someone doing a good deed and not go after him for having the garden.

I have been registered since 1990, but I have had to update addresses on occasion. My 21 yr. old is registerd, and did vote in the 2008 Presidential election. She voted in the primaries, and will vote in Nov. I need to make sure my 19 yr old registers, because I do not believe she has done so yet. I need to ask her if she registered when she had to replace her DL a few months back, because she lost her other one. I guess they asked her then. I'd also suggest early voting, because I personally believe Nov. 2nd is going to see a larger than normal turn out. People are just fed up, and ready f

I only watched part of it with my 19 yr old. I couldn't miss the season finale of true blood. I did enjoy seeing our buddies from Paramore. Was that a dress made of raw meat that Lady GaGa had on at some point? I was really hoping that Kanye would have interrupted Justin Bieber. People may have cheered for him on that one. : )

I watched that happen back in High school. One girl kept bullying another girl. The other girl had finally had all she could take from the bully, so she beat the snot out of her between classes one day. The bully never said one cross word to any other students the rest of the time in High school. I think the bully got enough laughs when she showed up to school with 2 black eyes for a few weeks. The girl that beat up the bully spent a few days in ISS over it, but she said it was worth it. The schools DO turn a blind eye to it. I have had to deal with it myself with my own kid. They call the bul

That is just scary and awful. My Grandmother woke up to find my Grandfather dead in bed, just like he was still sleeping. She knew something had to be wrong, because he always woke up early and cooked breakfast. Around 9am she checked on him, and he was already stiff. : ( I was 14 when he passed away. -
I agree 100%. I said from the get go that something pushed him to pin point out 3 particular boys. I am just glad he didn't show up with a gun. I guess talking about it on facebook was a good thing, because it prevented a tragedy.

I have a contract phone with sprint, and I regret going through them. Horrible coverage area as compared to when I had AT&T. I mean if you are right in Hiram Or Dallas it picks up fine, but as soon as you head to certain areas it roams. They do charge you for roaming on sprint. I was up in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge 3 weeks ago, and my phone roamed up there most of the time even.

Detective: Child's Beating Death 'Worst I've Ever Seen'
mspris72 replied to lumak's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Just awful!!!! I just do not understand what could be in any human beings mind to sit there and beat a child. Children look to us as adults to protect them. This is just horrible. I agree with the other poster, they will probably get 15-20 yrs and get out in 10 for good behavior. It just makes me sick at how the justice system works. Someone caught with pot, could potentially get up to 20 yrs on a 1st offense(granted they normally don't, but could), and a murderer pretty much receives the same punishment. Unreal! -
I had a friend years ago that had an 11 lb/4 oz baby boy. Could you imagine? Oh she had him natural. NO epidural. Nothing!!! I just love newborns. Just everything about them, especially those little faces that they make. When they become teens, I want a refund. lol j/k

People just need to realize that even if they post threats online out of anger, it can affect the rest of their lives. The county and school did the right thing by taking this threat very serious, because we never know if those making the threats will follow through with them. I wonder how long it will take before the decide if he is to be charged as an adult or not? Perhaps he will go before a judge next week? They didn't really say, except that he is expected to be there through the weekend. Is there any truth to the bully rumors, that the boy who made those threats made them towards 3 bulli

http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/police-ga-teen-arrested-made-threats-on-facebook-091010 DALLAS, Ga. (AP) - Paulding County authorities say a teen arrested for making threatening statements on Facebook posted that he would use a firearm against three of his classmates. Sheriff’s department spokesman Cpl. Brandon Gurley said the 16-year-old’s friends alerted their parents, who called authorities. The North Paulding High School student was arrested Thursday morning and charged with three felony counts of making terroristic threats, one count of disruption of a public school and one c
