  1. I need it to last one more year I took a ton of money in HOPE scholarships (undergrad and master's degree) and my daughter will benefit from pre-K next year. I hope I never play enough lottery to pay it back
  2. In his defense, jazzygirl accused the OP of making the whole thing up. What a busy-body.
  3. Life outside of pcom? You kid.
  4. Four and a half minutes......minimal lead (that they just got).....other team has the ball. Yeah.
  5. Nevermind. Thought this thread was about something else.
  6. Maybe they don't know they have the right to vote?
  7. When I filed for support with CSS, they took care of it for us. I would call them if you don't have an attorney.
  8. When I had pains like that it ended up being an inflimation of the tissue between my ribs. Weird, but some anti-inflamitories cleared it right up. I went to the ER thinking I was dying.
  9. If she lived across the street she most likely never had a route, even before cuts. It's the ones that travel down main roads that worry me. I hope everything turns out okay....and I hope that it doesn't turn into another "we pay taxes, give us buses" explosion like we had in August!!
  10. I didn't realize you had airspace in this area. Truth be told, many people fly for fun. Some own their own small planes, some rent them. Some belong to clubs and they fly together. You may want to alert the AF that you have a "no fly zone" in the west GA area. I don't think they know.
  11. Hopefully the lesson learned is work before play. I think we've all had similar lessons learned, even the ones who are shocked that you waited until the last minute. (As I type this, I'm procrastinating on assignments that I have due) I've assigned projects that were due after breaks, but the alternative is making them due right before. I always try to give the benifit of extra time. For example, making it due on 11/29 v. 11/19 gives students 10 extra days to do it. I tend to give grade recovery assignments that are excusively for breaks through. Those don't usually get done, but
  12. Agreeing with laws and abiding by them are two totally different issues.
  13. Wow. That article gave absolutely no information. It appears that no one knows anything? Poor lady.
  14. The only "wackos" I saw were several store employees. I had great conversations with the people I was in line with and entered into "you get two of these and I'll get two of those" agreements when it was obvious we couldn't get both things that we wanted... Overall, I was VERY impressed with the chipperness of the general population. Those KMart bitches (3 employees) would be the exceptions.
  15. I find those people to be the exception, not the rule. You get what you give.
  16. I spent quality time with my mother and sister, which is something we rarely do anymore. I'm not sure I appreciate being referred to as a "wacko"
  17. Top prize goes to Target. They were efficient and polite. It was our last stop at 7am. Honorable mention goes to JcPenneys. They offered us coffee, peppermints, and kept asking if they could help me find anything. Corporate will get a call about KMart. Luckily mom didn't get arrested for starting a riot. WalMart was okay, got everything I wanted, but the cashier was chit-chatting with everyone like it was a lazy Sunday afternoon. We had no intentions of shopping. At 10:30 last night we said, "hey, WM starts their toy sale soon, lets head up there!" That turned into, "it's alm
