For the love of Pete! Someone needs to tell me how to...
workingforaliving replied to subby1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Who's Pete? -
Ok, I'm caught up and even more freaked out that they TALKED about her relationship with his dad when they were talking about the Ranch needing an upgrade.

I have seen the kneehigh boots poorly executed a lot this season. Wasn't there a mom complaining about her kid's dress code violation because of tights earlier in the school year? This situation seems familiar.

OOOOOOOOOO....I remember that....I was thinking something just happened
-
Woah.....give me the CliffNotes version. I've been out of the loop lately.

I have directTV and have the ATT internet with no phone (I dropped my phone but kept the dsl when I was cutting back). The $14.95 is an introductory rate. Mine was $19.95 forever, but recently went up to $24.95. I had to call and talk to a person to get the change made the right way.

:swoon: I totally turned off the show I was watching on DVR to watch him.

The whole show is going down hill. I hope they pull out of these crappy storylines soon. The Cane storyline is my least favorite!

Does public speaking frighten you?
workingforaliving replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Public speaking is a breeze for me. I can bs with the best of them. Standing up in front of people and not talking scares the crap out of me. I just stand there and don't know what to do with my hands or my face. It's all ackward. -
my topic would read.... FOUND: 15 bags of trash Does anybody know ____________?

We're supposed to have class tonight, but a lot of these places run on a school schedule. I tried to call, but no one answered
-
That's pretty cool.

Did You See The Shooting At Panama City BOE meeting?
workingforaliving replied to eym_sirius's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I saw the video. The super was trying to convince the man to let everyone else leave. -
That's what got me. I got the 2 hour delay robocall at 6:45am....I didn't expect things to change within 90 minutes. My kiddo was watching cartoons so I didn't have the news on like I normally do while I'm getting ready in the morning. It's all good though.

Just got my call....7 minutes AFTER I was supposed to be there. Thank goodness my coworkers contacted me!
-
I still haven't gotten THE call. A coworker texted me to find out if the reports were true. It was 9am and I was about to walk out the door since a 2 hour delay changes reporting time to 9:45 and I had to drop the kiddo off at daycare. I called my sister and she was about to put the kiddo out at the bus stop. I wonder how many are in route because they thought the 2 hour delay was the final word.

Fine, but I'm closing the door this time.

My husband was just held hostage for 3 hours
workingforaliving replied to The City Cafe's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I was at work until after 8 last night and out early for a meeting. I missed the memo. I didn't know until I walked to my car at 4:30 that the ground had somehow gotten wet. I drove slow. Good thing I just bought new tires. -
Glen Burns just said temps are UP in the last hour. You're right, but I just wanted to whine a bit

My husband was just held hostage for 3 hours
workingforaliving replied to The City Cafe's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I get what the OP is saying. 2 hours of people sitting and waiting with no info is frustrating and so is not knowing about schools. However, the OP may not realize there are a limited number of tow trucks in the county. I passed 6 wrecks on my way home from work and it was only a 20 mile stretch on the south side of the county. I can't even imagine (well, maybe I can based on the posts on here) what it was like on the overpopulated north side. It's cold and dangerous out. I hope our emergency personelle stay warm and safe. -
Many teachers live out of the county and travel great distances to teach in Paulding..... Off the top of my head I know a few from Cobb, Fulton, Carroll, Haralson, and Douglas. That's a LONG way to drive in questionable conditions. I will drive down tree shaded roads. I'll call out before I put my kid in my car and drive her to daycare and then drive to work after seeing 6 wrecks on my way home from work today....and I stuck to main roads. It's a 45 minute drive, including the daycare drop off.

Everyone is stuck at home
-
How do temps rise at night? That defies all logic.
-
I slipped my way down Ridge around 4:30. I can't imagine what it'll be like after dark. I'll drive it again tomorrow at daybreak. I doubt the ice will be melted by then.

I think it's strange that you drink coffee before going to bed I am so sensitive to caffine (as in, I don't drink/comsume it after 2pm or else I won't be able to sleep) that people like you baffle my mind
