i think after the healthcare bill was passed and the "Bush tax cuts" fiasco, that people WERE really freaking out. I know many who were absolutely distraught over both events. You can't be aware of all of the new laws coming out of Washington and not be more than a little stressed about it. I don't think anyone said, specifically, that the shooter was motivated by political propoganda....only that people should be aware of what they say and how they say it. I think that's what folks in this thread have been saying all along. You never know what nut job is listening.

FWIW: Every commentator I've seen speaking on this (some very respected and rational) have said that politicians need to watch their metaphores and even mentioned Palin's "target list" and another group that encouraged the use of the 2nd amendment for something political.... ?But hey, you saw it here first folks....
