We may never know what or who influenced the shooter. Hell, he may not even know where the root of his influence lies. I'm not sure where this discussion when off track. We are all sick over this whole situations. This is a national tragedy and should be treated as such. I don't see where any one political group had a finger pointed at them in this thread. The shooter could have been a regular ole Republican, a tea-partier, or a democrat who didn't like the way the Congreewoman voted on a particular bill. Chances are, he didn't like the Congresswoman and chances are, their political views differed.

I disagree with a lot of things that elected officials do, but I have the good sense not to shoot them. I show my disapproval at the polls. I can't say that there isn't a loose nut out there who doesn't have that good sense. When a POLITICIAN is shot at a POLITICAL rally, it's political. Anyone who thinks otherwise has blinders on.

What does Palin have to do with anything? Yet, she's everywhere! She very boldly published a target list back in March that included Giffords. Pallin's Target List Until this afternoon, I had no idea who Gabrielle Giffords was. Now I've been researching her politics and policies. I think it's a natural human curiousity that leads someone to want to know more about a person and to speculate when tragedy occurs, expecially considering that CNN, FOX, NPR, and the AP have all provided conflicting reports.

I don't think he's degrading any situation. Everything he said was factual and supported with a source. It seems that there is a rather large group of people who don't agree with her policies. It doesn't make it right, but could potentially provide a motive. We all agree that there is no excuse for things like this to happen. NONE. However, some people are nuts and don't understand that there are other ways of getting their agendas heard besides violence. It doesn't help that there was a rally which associated gun use with the anti-CongressWoman group.
