It's not that we hate bike riders or anything, it's just that it's so much more dangerous, and there is much less margin for error... You screw up in a car, you get a bent fender, you screw up in a bike, you end up flying thru the air, or under a wheel, or god knows where.

Are you sure?

It's not a question of inconvenience, it's a question of harassment basically. If my kids can't sleep because your music is THAT loud, then your music is way louder than you have any reason for it to be. Do you have kids? Because if not, then this conversation is pointless, because you'll never get it. Especially not if you don't have kids that need their sleep, because they regularly have to check into a children's hospital because they are very ill. See the above. The apt complex does, but no one was around to enforce it, but dallas pd said that even if it wasn't, it was way too lou

Well, when you can't enjoy yourself, or have to speak loudly in your own home to be heard because of someone down the street, it's really kind of annoying. About what one of the first posters said, about why neighbors don't just ask each other to turn stuff down, and instead call the cops: The last place we lived (a house in downtown dallas) we had an issue with one of our neighbors allowing their kids (6 and 9 I think) to play outside regardless of the time. We shared a driveway, and their house was in front of ours, so our front yard and their back yard were connected. During the

oh, ok. That makes sense. -
I'll chip in to help pay for a non alabama one.

My neighbors blast their music so in the apartment below us every friday night, trying to take advantage of the 10 pm rule, that the things we have on the counters and tables in our living room start vibrating, and begin to move, and end up falling off. It's ridiculous. Dallas pd came out at 830 the other day, and said ordinance or no ordinance, it cannot go on, and they came back by an hour or so later to make sure they kept it down. By no means am I saying people can't listen to their music, but there is not one single good reason to have volume up so loud that other people can hear it

Weird. I was watching that show parking wars, and they had impounded a guy from Israel's car because he did not have a valid US license, and he even tried to get someone from the embassy to help him I think, and they still would not release it, because they said he could not drive in Pennsylvania without a valid US drivers license. The cops there and the parking authority both said it was not valid in that state. -

lol, so true. -
This really should be like 8 to 8, not 10 to 8. Some people have kids that get miserable if they can't get to sleep until 10pm at night.
-
ok. I will be out on my chair. Is rum ok though?
-
This is only partly true. With boom boxes and the like, if they are blaring it outside, they can be made to turn it down, regardless of the time. I think there should always be a limit to the noise you make outside your home, especially when you live close to other houses.

I know some states do not allow foreign tourists to drive here. Pennsylvania for instance. I don't know what GA's rules are though. I'm interested to know though if someone here knows the rules about this. We need one language, it's too confusing to have multiple ones. Anyone that has spent much time down in Miami, and seen how they have to have like 8 translators, and in certain areas signs are in two langauges, or even 3, will know that we need one. It's expensive, and for signage, there is only so much space to write in so many languages. -
I want a job there first, so I can get the raise too. My job can be making sure no one goes near the airport for a legitimate purpose.

Legal residency doesn't require this though, and it should. -
Considering the fact that they are still finishing construction on it, I doubt they are gonna decide to just close it.

I actually went by there the other day to try it out, never been inside before, but I didn't realize it's closing monday and tuesday.

It's not a good road for bikes. Any road that has sharp curves isn't, because it's hard for people to see them, and when you have very little space to see them before they are on top of you, the danger is even worse. No one is saying all motorcycle riders are dangerous idiots, and no one is saying that all people that drive cars are good drivers. I've nearly gotten killed several times by people driving cars as well. That's life.
-
You're kinda rude. Never smoked a cigarette in my life though. I wasn't slamming anyone, and I don't think the person you originally quoting was either. I already stated my reasons for not liking them, so I'm not going to go through it again, but if you'd like to talk about the issues of why motorcycles are more dangerous than cars, that's fine.
-
Ice cream... No seriously, I don't like them because they can be hard to see, they tend to make people who are reckless drivers into worse drivers, and because if you get hit on one, it's alot more serious than being hit while in a 4 wheeled vehicle. I didn't see anyone say that it was the motorcycles fault, just that they don't like motorcycles in general. Interesting how people get defensive about this every single time motorcycles get brought up in a topic.
-
I hate them too.
-
I can totally see it happening.

lol. this is funny.
