I got the flu shot last year for the first time and again this year. Last year I was fine. This year, I had a few aches (nothing serious) at night but that's all, and I was fine the next morning. My sister also had some aches after the flu shot so I'm not sure if there's something different in this year's vaccine. But I guess a few aches for two hours, is better than being sick with the flu for a week.

My mother was on dialysis at a facility in NY. I'm not sure if it's the same way down here, but she went to dialysis, 3 times a week, for about 3 hours each time. She was lucky that she felt ok after each treatment - - the biggest problem we had with it was due to the fact that she had bad veins, so the port they inserted for the dialysis kept getting infected. She had to change her diet and limit her potassium, so she could not eat any tomatoes, potatoes, banannas, etc. The center we went to in NY was wonderful and there is a lot of support. When my mom passed away (not from kidney disea

My husband had appendicitis and had horrible pain and nauseua. He couldn't eat. My advice would be to go get a cat scan to be safe because you do not want it to rupture. It can be removed laproscopically if they get it out before it ruptured. Unfortunately my husband waited too long and by the time he went to the ER it had ruptured which required greater surgery, a one week hospital stay, another two weeks of missing work. of course my sister just had the same pain, and went to the ER and it was fine. they drew blood and it turned out she had a urinary infection

I went to Paulding Probate court recently for a speeding ticket and sat through the calendar. On the date of the hearing, it is not the date of your trial. You will not have a hearing on the date set on your ticket, so it doesnt matter if the officer is there or not. You have four choices, you can please guilty, not guilty, nolo, or guilty with an explanation. If you plead not guilty they will give you another date for trial. They tell you it will be 2-3 months from now because they subpoena the officer who gave you the ticket. You do not have a choice in choosing the date. If y

I'm pretty sure I just passed the wrecker taking away the cars. There were two white cars involved. One was a mid-size car and the other was a Chevy SUV/truck. The Chevy had substantial damage to its front end. Sorry I couldn't get better descriptions. I hope everyone involved is ok.

Regional SPLOST - do we really need MARTA here?
blueeyes904 replied to LUMPY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I actually think a MARTA rail/bus line would be a great benefit to Paulding County. Having an easy, direct way into Atlanta would only benefit Paulding. Many people who work in Atlanta don't want to commute from Atlanta to Paulding. Having a reliable public transportation system would bring more people to the area and certainly give the local economy a boost as well as raise property values. I'm from NY/NJ and the suburbs that had direct routes into Manhattan were desirable places to live. I think it would certainly help our housing market. -
Where is the best place to have car a/c checked out?

I'm sorry about your grandfather. My husband swears by Auto Cool in Smyrna. It's a bit of a drive but they definitely know what they are doing and they are honest. -
That should work. Just call when you get back.

Thanks for posting these! You got some great shots. I hope we will be able to see you and Coco on Sunday. We had a fantastic time, and the best part is, I have one worn out puppy right now Valerie

Have you ever been to the Vinings Inn? It's quaint, the food is wonderful and the prices are reasonable. I even think they have a band upstairs on the weekends. www.viningsinn.com Happy Anniversary!

Need Recommendation for Furniture Repair
blueeyes904 replied to blueeyes904's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks so much! I met with Chris today and she is going to take care of it. -
Does anyone know of any local businesses that do upholstery repair? My dog tore into the seat cushion on my outdoor patio furniture. Luckily, it was at the seam, so it can be fixed. I bought more filler at Michaels and brought it to my dry cleaner, but they wouldnt guarantee that it would look good. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

I used to get B-12 shots monthly but never had any reaction. I eat a lot of meat, but my body doens't absorb the b-12 in the meat. It should give you energy - I don't think it should make you sick.

My husband and i ate breakfast there yesterday for the first time and it was great!

My husband took I20 from Thornton Road to downtown Atlanta this morning. He said it was icy in some places but it was ok. He said the streets in downtown Atlanta were worse than 20. Just drive slowly and you'll be fine,
