I don't know how those particular roads are, but my husband and I just drive to Marietta from Hiram bc my dog needed to go the Emergrncy vet. 120/bill caruth were bad, Barrett pkwy was bad and 41 was bad. There were tracks where cars went thru them, but I'm glad we were in a 4 wd truck. Be careful driving in the morning.

A friend posted on facebook that Jim and Nicks was open today. Oh, and O'Reillys. I guess some people might need wiper blades or a battery, etc., but I cant really understand Jim and Nick's being open and making the employees come in

What to cook tonight for dinner ? In the OVEN!
blueeyes904 replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Scottish bangers for my husband, chicken sausage for me, sautéed onions and roasted broccoli. I'm definitely not going out to use the grill, so I will cook the sausages on a grill pan on the stove top. -
The news said this is a brief lull. It is supposed to start again in a few hours, continued freezing rain and eventually turning to snow tonight.

I just ran to Food Depot to pick up a few last minute things. The lines weren't bad at all, and they had plenty of fruit, vegetables and bread in stock. I didn't go down the dairy aisle, so I don't know if they had milk or eggs, but if anyone in the area needs anything, I was in and out of there quickly.

Me too! With three dogs in tow.

We have used Wendy (wenfen) for almost six years. Absolutely love her and highly highly recommend her. I will send you a message with her phone number

he he he. He was probably still half asleep, waiting for the mountain dew to kick in

Husband did it this morning. Drove from Hiram, up Thornton Road, to 20. He left about 7:45, said there was still some icy patches, but it was fine otherwise

Wow. I was in NYC on 9/11 and don't agree that NYC didn't have a plan. For what it's worth, there can be no realistic plan, when millions of people live and work in a city and terrorists decide to strike. What the city did do (for people's protection), was shut down all mass transit and bridges, as no one could be sure whether there was another attack planned. People walked over the bridges and highways to get home. I don't think the people that actually lived through it would agree with you and criticize how the NYC government handled the unprecedented situation they suddenly found themselv

61 is stopped. I don't know exactly where I am but I was coming from cartersville and haven't reached old cartersville road yet. There is a wreck of some sort.

I drove from Hiram to Rome at 7:30 am and thankfully the roads were fine the entire way

I made a Patak's run last week so tonight's dinner is smoked pork chop for me and Scottish bangers for my husband. I love that place -
Does anyone have a recommendation for a local company that can get rid of mosquitoes? My friend's commercial shop is infested with them and it's becoming a problem. Thanks!

Fleas: Is Anyone Else Seeing More This Year?
blueeyes904 replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We use frontline tritac and this is the first time my dogs had fleas :-(. Vet suggested we switch our heartguard to centinel bc that has a flea protection as well. -
Yep. That must be it. Thanks!

So my husband and I always drive down bill caruth and noticed they built a road with a designated turn lane in it. ( As you are driving towards hiram sudie from 278- right where it becomes one lane again) We drove up there to tonight and looked around. There is a huge space and they started putting up a building. It's far enough away from the hospital that I don't think it's connected. Des anyone know what they are putting up? More medical buildings?

The closest one is Cumberland mall. Worth the drive. It's sooooooo good

I highly highly recommend Wendy from Wendy's pet sitting. We have been using her for the last five years and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies. She is a former vet tech and knows everything there is to know. She does daily sits for us bc both my husband and I work and she also does overnight sits for us when we travel. I think by now my dogs like her better than me. Her number is 770-990-5570.

I've eaten there and it's wonderful. If you like Mediterranean food try Jerusalem bakery in Marietta. Soooooo good

They are wonderful people. I met them when they both responded to my post asking for dog friendly parks where I could take my dogs swimming. And without even knowing me (I hadn't really posted that much on p.com) or asking whether I was a serial killer, they both said "come to our house". My dogs love it there (although my bird hunting dog ruby hasn't yet met their new flock, lol).

Olive Tree open Mothers Day with buffet available 11:30-4

My family loves your restaurant and we were thinking about going but decided not to because you aren't taking reservations. Is there a reason you're only doing call ahead? It's a crazy day and we didn't want to deal with the crowds without a reservation
