Just pointing out your hypocrisy.

Rest in peace, Col. Potter.

Crooks come in every race, color and political party. New in Top 5 on Amazon. "Republican: Squeezing Money for Personal Gain." by Dick Army. Ralph Reed and John Abramoff.

Christianity has taught that there is a religious message with the plant. Everyone knows that who went to church when they were young.

It was a public forum and 10 slots were allowed on a first come basis. There is much more to this story than just the crucified Santa, an artwork piece that was to show how materialisitic society has become instead of focusing on the real meaning of the season. It is very presumptuous to assume the Santa on a Cross is something of an evil agenda. It was supposed to show the real meaning of Christmas. I guess the presumed story is more important than the real one.

Target defends Black Friday hours amid protest
stercus tauri replied to Nice Green's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That was your option. It was your choice. Don't force your choices onto others. The employees have the right to complain to their employers. They also have the right to collective bargaining. Instead trying to make everyone like you (God knows why anyone would want to be like that because you sound so miserable and sour on life), let these employees address their grievances and let the process take its course. There are employee protections in place that will help them, though I'm sure you want to remove those so the companies can increase profits and abuse employees again. I am sure C -
Target defends Black Friday hours amid protest

How would you propose fixing the problem? Your question is nothing more than baiting a response. Were it not for government intervention, companies would still demand 60 hours a week from the employees with no breaks or other protections. No one is proposing more government regulation, although you believe anyone who questions a corporate policy wants government to step in. There are three options. Government could step in, but that is not what anyone is wanting, though society may decide that it does want that later on. Majority rule, and all. Second, Corporations could have fewer re -
so.... how many of you have your tree up?

Tree is up but my husband says it is not "stable," whatever that means. He always uses a bungee cord to "fix" it anyway. Tomorrow I will decorate while he is hunting. Just about finished! -
Target defends Black Friday hours amid protest

Corporate interests have taken T Day and Christmas. Faith and family have been replaced with the grab for money and power. The stores have the right to open and the employees have a right to complain and even circulate petitions hoping to convince the company to do better. Pass the ham. -
A message from Mitt Romney about Thanksgiving
stercus tauri replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There are several T Day greetings. <<<When President George Washington proclaimed our country's first Thanksgiving, he praised a generous and knowing God for shepherding our young Republic through its uncertain beginnings..... In times of adversity and times of plenty, we have lifted our hearts by giving humble thanks for the blessings we have received and for those who bring meaning to our lives. Today, let us offer gratitude to our men and women in uniform for their many sacrifices, and keep in our thoughts the families who save an empty seat at the table for a loved one statio -
I would say the Phoenix New station is repeating urban legend and the good doctor and school resource officer are very mistaken. It has been widely reported as fact but there have been no verifiable, documented instances of this ever happening. This is very similar to the Satanic sacrifices of a a few decades ago, an urban legend that was all made up with no documentation.

How can I tell if a phone number is long distance?
stercus tauri replied to chindog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not all 706 area code numbers are long distance. Dial it without the 1 before the rest of the number. If it goes through, it is not long distance. If the robo-operator says you have to dial the 1, it is long distance. -

Herman Cains 4th accuser comes forward

The troubling aspect of all this is that Cain didn't come clean in the very beginning. His story kept changing. He continued to bring out new details. Anyone who has ever been in management know the rules on sexual harassment are very specific on what, how and when things must be done. The way he handled this whole thing bothers me. If he can't handle this, how can he handle more serious matters? I don't think this was a media or Democrat thing either. If anything, this was from fellow Republicans, and I am losing faith in the whole lot of them, right now. -
Not going to wade through all this mess but I am going to start taking my camera with me as therapy.

It does make me wonder if Mayor Austin has done this sort of thing before to people when he disagrees with them.

We can always sue the county. While distasteful to waste the tax payer money since they will always win, it is the only option.

I don't think you realize it isn't what I said.

I moved here to get away from the bustle of East Cobb but the fact is we cannot stop progress. If you don't want things growing and changing around you, the option is to buy up all that property around you, or move to Polk County or somewhere similar. Frankly I find it quite insulting how you are so beligerent toward people are have a different opinion.

I remember when Nathan Deal was compared to Hitler and the reaction to that.

I don't think I can handle much more of this prosperity. I'm worried. I'm afraid. This is starting to make me ill. I can't afford to lose much more and I'm worried that those idiots in Washington will cause it to never recover.

Right winger takes swipe at socialists in Norway - kills 94 of them
stercus tauri replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
European Right Wing is a pejorative just like Liberal is here in the US. The definitions are similar but different. That being said - and I know I am late to this discussion - the headline in this thread is disturbing. It is also accurate. The problem is not the headline but the American lack of global understanding of how the terms are used. Sadly, it is more of a lack of education that doesn't understand the European headline. I would have used a different headline but it has been explained in this thread many times how the headline is used, it's context and how the Europeans ha -
Your Paulding Tax Dollars continue down the drain

I like to think there is good in every situation though this one looks like the citizens and you are getting the bad end of the deal. What possible reason would the county not want to settle this? Someone must have an answer.
