Also, in response to the post saying Zimmerman looked like he aged, I believe in the small print it States that photo is from 2005. So its ok to run a young picture of the teen showing him in a better light, but it would be wrong to show a current picture of Zimmerman that shows him in a better light. Media bias has made this into a three ring circus, and the only people who will benefit are the race baiters.

Facts we know. Zimmerman was bloody and beaten, the teen was on top of him based on what a witness reported, and that he was shot close range in the chest. If the law says that you can defend yourself with deadly force, then there is no reason for him to be arrested.

Maybe the girl didn't come toward because shes not telling the truth now. Why wait until the victims parents confront her about it to say something? I would really question why it took his parents talking to her to say something. The police chief resigned under pressure from people who were turning this into a racial issue. So he took himself out of the equation. And why should he have to face the consequence if what he did was legal? What makes you think there hasn't been a through investigation? Because he wasn't arrested? Why are we assuming because someone was shot and no one was charged that it wasn't investigated.

People seem to be forgetting that there is time between the time he talked to the dispatcher, and the time he shot the teen. How do any of you know what happened? Isn't it just as likely that the teen got confrontational as it is that Zimmerman shot him in cold blood? There is an eyewitness saying Zimmerman was on the ground being attacked. Then there is the word of his girlfriend who didn't speak up for 3 weeks. Who has more credibility

And we do not know what happened between the time of the 911 call and the time of the shooting. Maybe he did follow him. Maybe after doing that he decided to stop as he claimed, maybe he was walking back to his truck as he claimed. Maybe the teen attacked him, maybe he defended himself. Couldn't agree with you more there was a time when my husband was playing in pool leagues where I was in either the spotlight or Hiram station once or twice a week. I'm not a drinker so I watched what happened in those places completely sober. I never saw a bar fight, and rarely saw anyone stumbling drunk even. I never feared for my safety, and usually had a pleasant time tor being a non-drinker in a bar I hate that this man had a life changing injury, but I agree that when you go out and get rip roaring drunk you and only you are responsible for the outcome. I would highly recommend bb&t, and specifically the branch in Hiram. We have our commercial account with them and they are some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. I agree. The Florida stand your ground law is very vague. If Zimmerman truely felt in danger for his life then he is justified in using deadly force. And who is to say that just because the teen didn't have a gun that he was not in fear for his life? Two people know what happened that night, and one is dead. Without any other evidence, on what grounds can you arrest him?
