  1. Before or after makes no difference. Same outcome. But I digress, I am not arguing with you. I'd rather watch paint dry.
  2. The link earlier in this thread says he's already cutting federal funding and will not pick up offenders that are called in. If that's not going around the court decision I don't know what is.
  3. Even where the courts stated that Arizona can keep their law Obama has now said that it will not receive federal support. So in effect, he took his ball and went home.
  4. I know you don't want a franchise, I'd like a Taco Mac
  5. What do you suggest the states do to secure their borders and protect their citizens from illegals (I get not all illegals are criminals and not all crimes are committed by illegals)? Are they just supposed to sit there and take it until the federal government gets off their ass and does something? Or something I need to address with my president who is supposed to work with in the frame of the constitution and laws on the books. I will be firing him come November. I'll rest my case. I'm not changing anyone's mind.
  6. Its the bigger picture, they were ruling on the finer points of the Arizona law. The big picture here is that our system is broken. States are having to enact immigration laws because the federal government is not enforcing current laws. There wouldn't be an immigration law in Arizona to rule on if we were enforcing the current laws.
  7. I don't understand the issue. There are laws and rules. To be in this country you have to be a citizen, have a green card, visa etc. There are rules. Why is it so unfair to enforce said rules? There are legal ways to enter this country. Instead of just going willy nilly and ignoring the laws of this country, why don't we reform the process of being a guest worker, or becoming a citizen rather than just look the other way for those who are here ILLEGALLY. Maybe I should just start disregarding laws that I find troublesome. My neighbors car is nice, I could use a new one. I don't think grand
  8. I'm not currently required to carry my birth certificate with me, however if it became a requirement I would carry it in the same place I carry my state issued ID card or drivers license.
  9. I'll start one if someone will pay me to be the minister.
  10. I agree, move to Cobb. I'm pretty happy with what we have around here in Paulding County, and it's not that big of a drive to go somwhere else to get some of these things. If the stuff was here there would be more traffic.
  11. I minored in History and I do not see the Nazi implications that you do. I also carry my identification on me anytime I leave the house in case I am pulled over for something, or if I am struck by lightning and they need to know who I am.
  12. Why is that sad? It protects me as a citizen. How is it any different than having to provide identification when you're pulled over for a traffic stop?
  13. 2 different headlines...High Court Strikes Down Key Parts of Immigration Law - MSNBC.COM, Supreme Court Upholds Key Part Of Arizona Law - Wall Street Journal. Same story completely different headline. Yeah, there are no media biases here. Looks like it's officially a push.
  14. Ebay and craigslist for a dress. I bought a dress through David's Bridal.com and they wouldn't take it back so I sold it never been worn with tags for half of what I paid for it. I also second eloping. We went to Vegas to get married, one stop shopping at most of the chapels. Of course airfare, and hotel along with the chapel fee will probably be close to $5,000
  15. 60% of the time it works every time.... I second Armani aqua digio
  16. I don't know if it will work for you, but we have used The Childrens Palace on Bill Carruth outside the Greystone subdivision. My daughter went there full time from 2 months old until she was about 9 months old. After that we have used them for drop off service when we need child care and don't have someone to watch our girls. Ms. Joyce and Ms. Christina both worked in the infant room (Ms. Christina is now in the wooblers room). We loved them, and even though we don't use them daily anymore I still keep in touch with them through facebook, and I know they genuinely care for my daughters. I can
  17. I am a non-paying member and the only way I could see the thread is when someone linked it above and gave the password. I even looked on my profile to recent posts yesterday when I couldn't find the thread and I didn't see my post in the thread.
  18. I'm just explaining why there may be no applicants to fill that job that fit their criteria. I'm pretty sure people complaining about there being no jobs, for the most part, will take what work they can find.
  19. Sadly, people that can pass a drug test and have a clean driving record are looking for jobs better than being a driver.
  20. Maybe I only know highly paid military folk. The ones I know are all stay at home moms.
  21. Based on the people that I personally know. The military pays enough for one parent to stay home and offers benefits. Which is better than many in the private sector. My health would exclude me from military service at this point.
  22. I have a personal vendetta against Travelocity so I never book through 3rd parties ever. We were living in Memphis at the time and drove to Nashville to fly Southwest to Vegas, it was cheapest by far. We booked our hotel and airfare directly. I don't know if Southwest is flying to Vegas from Atlanta yet, but they go from Birmingham I believe, it might be worth the drive to fly out of there.
