  1. I don't make my decisions on how to do business with or how to deal with others on the basis of how I am treated. I do it on the basis of how I would LIKE to be treated and the reputation I want to uphold. I will not take advantage of something because the person being taken advantage of is a bad person or business in this case. Two wrongs don't make a right.
  2. Walmart Kidding aside, I used Walmart.com for our cards last year, and my daughters birthday invites this year. They looked great and were not expensive.
  3. Think what you will about the business practices of Walmart. Taking advantage of a glich on their site would just be adding wrong to wrong. Anyone with a bit of common sense knew it was a mistake. Is it right to profit from the mistake of another? If you were selling a car on ebay and mistakenly posted a buy it now price of $10 instead of $10,000, should you be required to make good on your offer? Would you want people to take advantage of a typo? Acting unethically or immoral to someone or something that you disagree with is neither ethical or moral either.
  4. They may just bus trasnfer like they do to Turner Field. There's already a bus drop area by Cumberland Mall.
  5. I was thinking the other side of 75, doesn't look like there's much there, but you're right, that will be a traffic nightmare. When I was living in Cobb and commuting to Sandy Springs I would always try to take the surface roads to avoid the interstate, but there was no good way to go traffic wise.
  6. Nothing, at least from memory. If it's east if I-75, and south of 275, then there is open land. There's an office building, but it's probably south of where they are looking. I think there may be some apartments.
  7. Wow. So what becomes of Turner Field and that area? Does it seem stupid to anyone else that we keep building new stadiums when there is basically nothing wrong with the current one. Talk about wasting money.
  8. That hit the nail on the head. People want something for nothing, no matter the cost.
  9. Again, I ask, has anyone ever had "control" over where an outside cat goes?
  10. It's impressive they turned out so cute...with what they had to start with (me and my husband)
  11. Wow. I think I will think twice before complaining about the hardships in my life.
  12. I don't blame them. You think anyone who bought it was actually thinking that was the actual price? In the long run it won't make a difference to people, they'll still shop there.
  13. "Cops handwriting looked like a toddlers so we called the court" As of 2010 Hiram City police were issuing printed tickets, not handwritten. But maybe not all of them have that, I just know the one I saw in 2010 was from Hiram City and it was typed.
  14. How much printing is that? I might just try it that way. hard to tell how much time I've wasted.
  15. Satellite I presume. We don't have a land line. The only data connection we have is through the satellite. We don't steam movies or use an IP phone for this reason. Since I work from home most of our use is moving data files, and then some youtube here and there, and I do a lot of personal photography that I upload. But when I download books or magazines for my kindle I will drive into town and use free wifi at the library. It's one of the few things I dislike about where we live. I would love to be able to cancel TV and just stream netflix, but we can't do that here.
  16. Wow, I wish I could get that data plan. We have to use satellite internet. We pay $85 for 15GB. We then can buy an additional 1GB for $9.99. This month I exceeded my 15GB for the first time since we got it. I had to purchase 4 additional GB for a total of $40.
  17. I have still yet to be able to submit my application. I was called by BCBS, the only company offering coverage in my area and told that I should qualify for a subsidy, but that I had until December 15th to apply.
  18. Where did I say that 80mph was ok on 278? My original point was that there are far too many agencies patrolling speeding/traffic violations in the Dallas/Hiram area. You have two city police jurisdictions, the county, and the state troopers. I have never lived anywhere that had such a police presence as the Dallas/Hiram area.
  19. When is the last time you got up to 80 on 278 between, say, the hours of 7am and 9pm? This is what I am referring to. During peak driving hours most people are just maintaining the flow of traffic. If someone is broadsided by another going 80mph I doubt that speeding is the only issue in that fast moving vehicle.
  20. Hiram-Dallas is THE single worst place about ticketing, and not just because of the Hiram police. Between Hiram Police, Dallas Police, Paulding County Sheriff, and State Troopers there are far too many police trying to enforce traffic violations. I'm not saying these people aren't speeding or doing illegal things, but there are worse things than speeding.
  21. You ever tried to explain property lines to an outside cat?
  22. I will never understand the push to legalize marijuana. I don't understand the need for mind or mood altering substances.
  23. I agree with you completely. Sometimes Sunday is the only day someone dealing with an alcoholic doesn't have to worry so much.
  24. I believe it only effects the city. It's open the lady who held it is not running again.
