I had a lady come up to me the day we were leaving Hiram to come down here. At the last gas station on 278 leaving Hiram towards Atlanta, in front of what used to be Birdies. My husband was filling up his car and then was going to do mine so I was waiting by the pump. She gave me a story about needing to get her kids from school and asked if I could give her money for gas. I told her no, and she berated me saying I was heartless and obviously didn't have children if I wouldn't help a mother in need. It took all I had not to slap the woman.

No, in fact, my options have decreased. I used to have a policy that would cover me for catastrophic illness. I will no longer have that or any other coverage because I can't afford to pay the premium and feed my kids.

Medicaid was not expanded in all states so there is a group out there in some states that are too rich for medicaid and not poor enough for a subsidy, leaving them no option but to be uninsured.

Did you eat paint chips as a child? I cannot afford the new premium rates. I could afford the premium for the major medical plan I had. I cannot afford the premium for the new mandated policy.

The speed limit on 278 in front of Target in that area goes back up to 55, most times of the day you can't get up to 55. The dangerous times of day are when there isn't traffic and people fly through there.

I have no idea what my insurance will be. I submitted a paper application after trying since the first day to use the website. That was a little over a week ago and I haven't heard anything. I did get my letter from BCBS showing my premium going up to something I can't afford, but I get coverage, only I won't be able to pay the premium, so I have no coverage. So I'm saving money and losing coverage. But I'm glad it worked out well for you.

No one is really arguing that. I think the hoopla is the hypocrisy of a people that preach tolerance but have no tolerance for people that don't believe what they do. I am fine with A&E doing what they did. I think it's stupid because I don't think if a member of a gay reality show was making statements about how bad Christianity was that they would be suspended from their show. If you want to preach live and let live then don't get your panties in a bunch when someone states they don't agree with how you live.

I just started reading his book the other day before all this happened. I hope that he has had a profound affect on addicts and their families. Seeing that there can be a light at the end of a very dark tunnel if you are willing to do the work. I have a lot of respect for the whole Robertson family and what they have come through and that they are willing to show a different side of American life on "reality" TV.

It infuriates me that the very groups that fight for acceptance and tolerance have zero tolerance for people believing something other than what they believe. My faith has always been to love the sinner and hate the sin. I don't have to agree with your lifestyle to love and respect you as a human being. And just because I love you doesn't mean I don't think you are wrong. But I am a sinner as well, and I cannot judge. Only God can judge.

Money is tight for us this Christmas, and it was last Christmas too, so for the mailman, the garbage men, and my daughters teachers I just did cookies. I wish someone would tip me for doing my job

It's called being broke and making use out of something. My husbands aunt gave it to us as like a wall hanging and we never really had anything to do with it, and I needed something to put on top of the tree, so there you go.

Our tree isn't themed persay. All the store bought decorations on it are red, white, and silver. We have red and white lights on the tree. We don't have a lot of home made ornaments because my mom has the ones I made growing up and my MIL has my husbands. We have the ornaments that we get from my girls each year from Things Remembered that are engraved with their name and the year, but combined they've only had 6 Christmases. We may be in that exact boat, but I'm not sure yet. We will be in that group that makes too much for medicaid, but won't be able to afford their affordable health care plans. So we will go from having catastrophic policies to having no policy, and we are by no means wealthy or poor, we are truly the middle class, who i thought this was meant to help.

And this is the reason I questioned a facebook post from a high school friend the other day. She said she was shopping in Walmart and had her wallet stolen. She said in her wallet was all her Christmas shopping money for her kids. For a split second the thought entered my mind that I wonder if she's making it up so that people will buy her kids gifts. I hate that that's where my mind immediately goes.
