Had this EXACT conversation last night. My husband is a business manager for a small used car dealer here in south Alabama. I have a 2003 Ford Explorer which is paid for, but the A/C needs repair, and there is an issue with the rear end, some minor body damage. Anyway, we want to replace that car, but we are 2 working parents with 2 little ones in full time daycare. I want something where my payment would be no more than $200 a month. Do you know how hard it is to find a decent SUV/Mini Van/Crossover that you can finance for $200 a month or less? And he works for a car dealer. They just specia

I did a two week free Trial on ancestry.com and was able to trace back a lot of my family on both my mom and dad's side. Once you get back so far you link into people who have already done a lot of the work. I got back to Charlemagne on my grandmothers side. The most surprising thing to me was that I never knew that I had family that immigrated to America via Switzerland. As far as I knew my heritage was German, English, and Irish, but in actuality I couldn't find any Irish, and found that I had a long list of family that was originally French. It was also funny to find out that Kay ha

In the future try Pinacle Port Condo listings. They usually have 3 night minimum. I'm also a member of some groups in the Headland AL area, and once in a while someone will post their condo is available. We live about 2 hours north of Panama City Beach

Just pointing out, I'm a female, and at times in my life I have weighed 300lbs, and I am 4 years older than Zimmerman. I could pull 4 people from a car, I however probably couldn't do much but cover my face if someone had me pinned on the ground and was punching me in the face.

It's made me HEAR lots of stupid things, but it has not made me SAY anything stupid.

Fairly certain they are anti-Hispanic as well as anti-Black. IF the KKK was pro-Zimmerman then they would have had to support Obama for president as well since they're both equally white. However Obama is the first black president while Zimmerman is a "self described" White-Hispanic.

I watched last nights episode, Kelly Clarkson went in search of her 3rd great grandfather. I've always been interested in genealogy, and wanted to watch the show to see what they did. BUT, I was turned off by this episode. Clarkson finds out that her 3rd great grandfather fought for the Union in the civil war and was a prisoner at Andersonville in South Georgia. And when she finds this out she praises his bravery for fighting for the freedom of slaves, and how horrible he was treated in the Confederate prison. The underlying theme being that thankfully he was on the "right side of history.

You are correct, the fact that they have elected nothing but Democrats since 1962 has everything to do with it.

The heat is on ... and food prices likely to rise as a result

Remember when gas was under $1.00? It wasn't that long ago. I moved to Atlanta in 2001 after graduating from College, and there were times when it went below a dollar. Then came the long gas lines when Katrina came and the price went up over $3.00 and it was crazy. Seems like since then it's not been back under $3.00. Personally I believe they keep raising the price, and seeing that it hasn't affected demand they are just going to keep raising it until we finally break. Imagine what we could be doing with our money if we weren't putting it all into our cars. -
Did she take you up on it?

Wow, thankfully where I live in an agriculture rich area, we are experience lower than normal temps and a large amount of rain. Thank goodness for diversity. -
I don't really have any help on where to get them, but the only one I've ever seen was the one my dad was working on for the last 30 years. It was a muzzle loading gun kit. He never finished it before he died, but a friend finished it recently. Do they sell them anymore?

If your sister isn't working and is pregnant she should qualify for WIC and Pregnancy Medicaid.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, and assume that I'm safe out and about, but about a week after moving to Memphis we were walking downtown around sunset. We lived in the apartments across from the Redbirds stadium for the first month we were there, and decided to head out on foot to find Rendezvous, we knew it was down a back alley and thought we could find it pretty easily. We were on one of the roads, and there was a black man who I assume was panhandling, and my boyfriend (now husband) asked him which way to Rendezvous, and the guy said "it's down this alley, I'll show you."

You know why there is racial tension in Memphis? Because black people kill people in Memphis. Not saying that whites don't. But I lived in Memphis for a year, and I quickly learned where I was safe and where I was not safe.

So in a nutshell, if someone doesn't like what I'm doing, and comes and punches me in the nose and bangs my head into the sidewalk, while I have a gun on my person, I should not use my gun because that's unfair to the person beating me up? -
Apparently you're plea worked. I posted a topic yesterday afternoon, and when I come back this morning it's completely gone.

I can't even respond to this. Seriously? I don't see a black person and assume they are going to cause me harm, I also don't see a white person and assume they are my friend and will treat me right. I use past experience to size up a person, white or black, or brown or yellow or green or red etc, make a judgment, and they can either prove me right or wrong. It's a survival skill.

I often think I would have been better learning a skill rather than going to college. I have a lot of high school friends who went into cake decorating, hair fixin', photography, yard work, etc. They may not be making a killing, but they are able to work as much as they care to to make what they need.

The fact that Zimmerman was punched in the face, and Martin had no wounds, other than a bullet, reasonably makes you think that Martin punched Zimmerman, and Zimmerman reacted by shooting him. It's not reasonable to think that Zimmerman shot Martin, and THEN Martin punched him in the face, or that Zimmerman physically attacked Martin, and that Martin defended himself by punching Zimmerman in the face.

Now that you mention it, I do believe my mom co-signed it. However, the broader point I was making is that I just went and blew about $1,000 on a piece of paper that didn't help me in my job search.

I got a loan to go back to school to get my paralegal certificate through Chattahoochee State. I think I pay about $15 a month to pay it back each month. I didn't really learn anything new. I've worked as a paralegal, and basically just wanted the piece of paper. I have a BS in Management with a Minor in History from Alabama. I've been lucky that since I graduated from college I have been able to find work in real estate related companies, and know people. The job I have now I got back in March of 2010 because the guy managing the office used to work for me when I managed the office at another
