Anyone going to watch the Benghazi Hearings today?

You should really stop responding, it's clear that you didn't watch the testimony where they testified the video had NOTHING to do with anything. -
Anyone going to watch the Benghazi Hearings today?
kwood replied to DiehardKy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This has nothing to do with the question at hand. Why were requests for added security denied, and why were people willing to go to the aid of the embassy told to stand down? Because it would look bad for Obama during an election year since he was running on the lie that the Muslim Brotherhood are our friends, and that we have terrorists on the run. -

I didn't read all the replies, but if it doesn't bother you that American citizens were left to die without military intervention then you are blinded by your political views. Then to add insult to injury they go with a story that a video spurred a spontaneous demonstration with RPGs. It makes me sick. Never leave a man behind! If it doesn't make your blood boil then you deserve the lies that you are being told, and you deserve everything your "leaders" are going to give you. -
The neighborhood I lived in, which was in the City limits dictated what company we used for trash pick up so that it was all picked up on the same day. Recently some people started getting theirs done by another company, and I used to hear the truck and freak out because I didn't take the trash out, and then realize it wasn't our trash company.

Where I live your trash gets picked up by the county, and there is no choice in it, that's all there is. Also, as a Hiram city resident the only taxes your paying are sales tax, there is no city property tax, so it' aint that much. I would like to know if local companies were given the chance to bid. If they did and they weren't the lowest bid, then I would say kudos to the city of hiram to being fiscally responsible.

I live in the middle of nowhere, and I lock my car doors and take out valuables. Personally I think if you're dumb enough to leave that much stuff in an unlocked car then you get what you get. Maybe they made a habit of it, and maybe these people knew that, and that's why they pick their car.

Down here we are running our heat at night and air during the day. I think tonight it will be warm enough not to run the heat.

So how much did she get paid for that? It's one thing to talk about family values and keeping it simple, but if it really was a close family thing then why is it news?

I went to college at the University of Alabama, and never went back north. I'm almost to the point where I've spent as many years south of the Mason Dixon as I did above it. You should call and ask him...that 25 seconds of intro music is hilarious.

Not pulling over has nothing to do with manners or respect if you weren't raised in an area that does that. If I started doing that back in my home town I would cause an accident. If you want to judge my character on that then maybe you're the one with a lack of manners and respect.

I grew up in Ohio, and we didn't stop for processions unless they were going through an intersection, and we only stopped then because the police would block the intersection. I have lived in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia for the last 16 years, and I will stop on a 2 lane road, but on a four lane divided I only stop if I'm going in the same direction and they are coming by. As far as going the opposite direction I would only stop if the cars around be stopped. I'm just a sucker for conforming to what others do.

Not sure what you're looking for, or if it would be worth it to you, but my husband paid a resume service to rewrite his resume. After doing that he got a job within a couple weeks and he had been looking for over a year. I think it was about $150. It could be just a coincidence, but it seemed to help.

Powder Springs Residents Want to Lose Hiram Zip Code
kwood replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It may be just a real hassle for the people. For instance, I live in a little area called Douglas Crossroads in Henry county Alabama. But, the nearest post office in in Columbia, AL, so we have a Columbia zip code, but Columbia is in Houston county, and Columbia is in the opposite direction of civilization. While the Headland, AL post office is technically farther away, it is in our county, and it is in a place I actually travel to. When our kids go to school they will go to Headland schools, and we are part of Henry county, but when we tell people our address they assume we live in Houst -
He probably doesn't go by 3 names, they just report his full legal name so that there is a little more clarification on who was arrested.

I guess the same reason why Uhaul won't attach a trailer to the back of a Ford Explorer.

I'm 33, will be 34 in August. I believe I am pretty damn responsible, and have always been so, but that has more to do with my personality and upbringing because I can tell you there are a lot of people my age that don't have it together. But they're on their way to getting it together.

I agree. Would not have gotten him from the sketch

I don't know how to get rid of them, but I'm glad to be away from them. They would swarm around doorways with bushes and they stink.

I got my cell number 3 years ago, and I still to this day get calls for Yvonne trying to collect. When I first got the number I probably got 5 calls a week

It could be an issue with the bite. I had to get 3 filings on one side and 2 on the other side, I went the first week and had the first 3 done, and it hurt constantly, so painful I couldn't sleep. I go back the next week to get the other side, and no pain on that side. I had to go back 3 times for them to keep grinding the filings down until they got it to the point where I didn't have pain in my bite. It was apparently hitting high, and since I got white filings he was having a hard time knowing what was tooth and what was filing. They feel fine now. All that to say, is that you might just ha

Guess who isn't working in her yard any more this year
kwood replied to lucky64's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I keep telling my husband I can deal with spiders, weird bugs, even field mice, but if I see a snake I am moving back to the city. -
One thing I noticed before we moved out of Atlanta, was that the amount of people begging for money at gas stations was quickly increasing. I was at the QT near where Birdies used to be the day we were leaving town to come down here to make arrangements to move. There was a lady going up to everyone asking for money to put gas in her car so she could go get her kids from school. My husband was filing up his car, and mine, and I was just waiting outside the car. She came up and asked me for money, and I told her I didn't have any cash (because I didn't). She then ripped into me for not being un

SPINOFF: What questionable fashion choices do you make?
kwood replied to Over The Moon's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I just had a pedicure last wed. and the lady next to me had to have the toe nail polish drimmeled off her toes. She said it was some special victoria's secret polish that was supposed to be hard to remove. -
SPINOFF: What questionable fashion choices do you make?
kwood replied to Over The Moon's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I gotta say when I go out in public I don't make any questionable fashion choices. I always make sure my flabby arms are covered, I wear jeans or khaki shorts and t-shirts or sweaters that fit. Now in the privacy of my home (and I work from home) I live in pajama pants and t-shirts. I would never go bra-less, I wouldn't want to bruise up my beautiful knees. -
My ex sister-in-law had hers start flaring up after having her second child, and had to go in to have it removed when the baby was a few months old.
