You must be Catholic I don't understand addiction because I can take it or leave it. I could get fall down drunk tonight and never touch a drop ever again. However, I do have an alcoholic in my life, and it is very clear that this person is an alcoholic. A sane person would not make the choices they make. Seeing what alcohol can do to a person makes me never want to drink again, even though I can handle it. It's very sad, I imagine drugs are even worse.

I tried it once at Mix in Las Vegas, I'm assuming since we paid an arm and a leg for the meal it should have been good, but I really didn't like it. I really like braunschweiger which is liver based, but pork instead. I made the mistake of thinking they would taste similar. They do not.

I'm a picky eater, but I LOVE some well prepared lamb chops.

The difference between medicine as a racket and a service

AGAIN, she has no way of knowing what would have been done in a US hospital, yes those particular drugs were not available and treatment may have been different, but different treatment does not mean inferior. It's pure speculation on what MAY or MAY NOT have happened to her child. And AGAIN, the reason the medications were not approved in the US was most likely do to more testing that had to be done because of our highly litigious society. So lets reform the courts and maybe there wouldn't be as long as a wait. BUT ONCE AGAIN, she is speculating on what her care would have been in the US. It' -
It would be a much shorter list if you asked what I do eat. Fruit - Won't eat anything other than banana, orange or apple Veggies - I will eat raw carrots and celery, but nothing else Starch - I'll eat Potatoes and corn and most breads Meat - I'll eat pretty much any kind of meat. I don't eat much fish, and I don't eat crab, lobster, crawfish, etc. I will eat shrimp though.

Addicts are a whole lot of fun as long as you aren't on the receiving end. It amazes me what addiction can do to a person. You can see a person when they are sober and they are smart, caring, capable, and then with one drink they can turn into a monster that they would hate if they came across them sober.

According to him and her that is not true.

Emilio Estevez seems to not have the issues he has and they're bothers, presumably raised similarly.

When I was living in Memphis around 2007 and 2008, he was in a really bad car accident in North Mississippi and there was scandal around that. Maybe he was in the car with a young girl or something, just seemed off. I'll try to find an article

The difference between medicine as a racket and a service

I went into the ER on New Years Eve around 10:30pm to Kennestone Hospital because I was having contractions with my second daughter. In less than 10 minutes I was taken to triage in labor and delivery and hooked to a monitor, within an hour I was given medication to stop the contractions (since I was only about 26 weeks pregnant). I was out the door in under 2 hours total. Actually I did read the article, and it is impossible for her to determine what treatment she may or may not have had in the same situation in the US. That particular shot wasn't available then, but is now, do you k -

I can comment on this, this woman would have been treated no differently than if she were to enter an ER in the U.S. under the same exact circumstances. I was on a message board when my oldest daughter was born, there were 3 mothers from the UK on there and we often compared Dr, hospital, and newborn care in the UK v. the US. For the most part there was little to no difference. They did have home healthcare people come do well checks, but the US offers that as well, just we have to drive to the doctor. As far as doctors, the three in the UK were not as quickly and easily seen by their doctors -

I've not investigated, but I'm guessing if Palin went to Canada for healthcare it was probably an issue of availability since she is closer to Canada then most of the US, and Alaska is limited on resources. I don't know enough about healthcare to argue one way or another. -

If we're so bad, why do Canadians come here for medical procedures? -
I could drop the blade and mow it again. I didn't cut it as low as normal because I didn't want the mower to stop up. It's crazy. I love living in the country with a big yard, but I hate mowing it.

On Monday I mowed our 2 acres, and this morning I mowed it again. Can we officially say we have enough rain? I am sick and tired of cutting grass.

So then it is fair to say that white people are discriminated against, and we should be eligible for affirmative action programs.

I work from home, I've communicate with my office via text and phone, and only when necessary to I actually speak to someone on the phone, and we've yet to find a need for skype. It's weird that some days I go all day without actually "talking" to anyone work related.

Missing children, perception vs. reality "I am aware of no research that indicates that children today are any more likely to be abducted by sexual predators than they were 50 years ago." It seems similar to all the stories that were out there in the early 2000's about Shark attacks. Shark attacks were actually down in that time yet there was more media coverage leading people to believe it was an epidemic. The media rightfully so makes us more aware of missing or abducted children because we need to be on the look out. Which makes us believe it happens more now then it did previo

No, How many is it?

Yeah, that didn't fly in my house growing up. Alarm goes off, get out of bed, get a shower, get dressed, get breakfast, go to the bus stop. If you miss the bus you're walking. But I'm a natural morning person. My mom would have laughed at me if I would have asked her to drive me to school so I could sleep in.

They are missing out on a rite of passage, and of gaining little independences. I wanted so badly to ride the bus to school when I started school. I begged to ride the bus, it was the most exciting thing. I rode the bus to school every day until I got my drivers license. From Kindergarten (I initially started by getting picked up at the daycare) up to my Junior year in high school I walked to the bus stop every morning, waited, in the dark a lot of the time, for the bus with the other kids in the neighborhood with no parents around, and in the afternoon by the time I was probably about 9 I got

I have no issue with it, as long as they allow hispanic, asian, black groups, there should be a white group allowed. It kind of puts a mirror up to those groups to show them how being exclusive is not helping a goal of inclusion.

I don't know what's worse, adults playing and spending money on games like this, or that this is a 2 page thread about Candy Crush. I played for about a month, mostly when hiding in the bathroom for sanity breaks from my kids. Then I realized I could be doing more productive things and deleted the app.

I understand that times are different now, but this is over the top. 6th grade is what, 11 years old? Glad he got home alright, but if there is that much concern with his safety from walking home from the bus stop maybe you should drive him to and from yourself, and then put him in a bubble when he goes into the school building.

Don't think I have it, but they both have removable SD cards, my laptop has an SD card reader, but if your computer doesn't have one you can get them for cheap. I haven't used the cameras in probably 2 years, but they worked just fine then. They don't have rechargeable batteries, so they probably need a set of double A's.
