I do, I do! The first one is called Mrs. Smith's apple pie...then there is Bob Evans sour cream and chives mashed potatoes. And then there is..........you get the idea. I am NOT putting effort into this. LOL! Actually, though, if you want to make a good dessert...this one is awesome. You have to like chocolate chip cookies, though!!! You take a graham cracker crust with 2 extra servings (it will say that on the package), a bag of chocolate chip cookies, a cup or so of milk, and a container of cool whip. You dip 8 cookies in milk (just a quick dip) and lay it on the crust. So, 7 around t

Thank you for the rest of the tips. I wish I had been here to read them before I went out shopping...might have picked up a few more things! I do have one last question, though. I went to Food Lion (which I now regret because Kroger had their fresh turkeys for around .70/lb without a required min purchase) and purchased the frozen turkey for .37/lb (had to buy $35 worth of stuff to get that price, but it was mainly stuff I needed anyway, so I guess no harm done!). The meat guy told me that I should not put it in the fridge or in the freezer. He said if I put it in the fridge it may still

That is very sad........I can't imagine the pain they are going through, but I am sure the support has helped them tremendously. God bless little Noah! What a brave little kid.

Thanks!! I think I am going to try it and I hope DH is impressed with my first attempt Why do they leave all that stuff in there? Is that what people use to make gravy sometimes? Ick......I think I'll buy some store gravy.

Thank you, thank you! Those are some great tips. It does sound easy. How do you remove the neck? I'm trying to imagine that...I've never seen anyone clean a turkey, so that doesn't help. Bet I could find some Youtube vids on it. Thanks for mentioning Food Lion, too. I saw a bunch of great prices in their sale ad and lots of BOGO items. I may drive there instead!! I will have to get a MVP card, but no big deal. I'm just glad there is a Food Lion around...I always tell my mom there isn't one, but I discovered there is a few months ago. What do you season your turkeys with? I think th

I have to cook this year because DH will be working on Thanksgiving (the downside of having a geeky job) and I just flat out refuse to go see my family or his family and have Tday without him. I just don't like that idea. But I have never made a turkey before. I was thinking of a Jennie-O Oven Ready turkey that you just pop in the oven. I thought I remembered seeing them at Walmart for around $25, but from what I am reading online everyone says they are much more expensive (like $50 for a whole turkey). So, if it's too much I will buy a turkey and attempt it myself, I suppose. But I have

Yikes. I hope it is nothing major. I was looking at Windstars for the past few weeks, but I read so many things about their transmissions just up and failing that I decided against several even though they were newer than what I bought and great deals. You never know, though...it could be something small and run for another few years with no issues. I hope everything works out...it seems that tax time and Christmas time are always the time when things like this happen. Just when you get money or are having to spend money, you end up with something unexpected it seems. Good luck with it...

Maersk Alabama repels 2nd pirate attack with guns

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that these idiots on lifeboats are hijacking our ships. WTH...I say KILL the a-holes and teach them a lesson. But I have no tolerance for that sort of thing. I also think that ransoms should NOT be paid. Hello...just give them incentive to keep taking the ships. It sucks for those involved and for the loss of goods, but they have already proven that they are pretty much bluffing each time they take a ship hostage. -
I have met your daughter before...when you said the Lindsay thing, I know it has to be her. I saw her (guess she was with you and other family members...don't remember) at the Walmart checkout a couple years ago in Hiram. I was stunned. She really does look just like her. I told her that too, even though I knew she probably got it all the time. It's amazing how much she looks like her.

I LOVE Modern Family. It is one of me and DH's favorite shows to watch together. I also love Cougar Town. We like both of those shows.

Just wanted to say how much I love Steven! He has been a big help over the past week or however long it has been. Our car was going to cost more to fix than we wanted to put into it again. We spent the past week running around looking at cars and finally bought another van this morning. We already have one (Town & Country) and this is a Chrysler Voyager, so we look like we have his and hers vehicles. Lol! I don't care, I love vans. And since I'm having my third boy it is very fitting that the car is navy! I'm already calling it the Boymobile. I was not thrilled about having a car pa

Did I tell you I had listened to it? I can't remember. I don't care for country much, but I think that song is nice. He has a unique voice, too.

Wow...so glad your little boy is okay. And I know what you mean...I am totally grateful he is healthy, and he was so cute on the ultrasound! It is one of those things where as I was sitting there watching him, I knew I was happy I was having him and was happy he was healthy. But also at the same time realizing he is the last one. I just get feelings about things, and I just really, really truly believe there will be no more children. This one was a total accident, but I guess we were meant to have him. Also, about the girl problems. I was a terrible teenager. Oh, I know!! I am

I understand the momma's boy thing. I guess I just feel really alone here already (the in-laws are all in Griffin or Marietta, and we NEVER see them...only in a blue moon), so I just really wanted a built-in friend, I guess! My husband is always doing geek stuff, hanging out across the street with the neighbors, or asleep because of his schedule. And my oldest boy just wants to play Lego Indiana Jones every possible moment he can. I just feel like having a girl would fill the void of not being around my mom and sisters. Oh well...on the bright side, maybe I can squeeze them all in one

The tech, who I love (she did all my other pregnancies, too) could sense my disappointment. She told us a story about her friend who was having her third or fourth boy and was really disappointed when she found out. It died of SIDS at age 2 (doesn't sound like SIDS to me...probably another condition they could not figure out and just labeled it SIDS). But that made me feel bad. I know Tyler is going to have more fun with a brother than he would a sister, most likely. And Gavin will be in kindergarten shortly after it is born, so it will work out. I know there are a lot of positives to hav

Thank you! I am just glad that I did not wait because EVERYONE said it was a girl. My mom would have just bought more clothes and more girl stuff, and I would have heard, "I know it's a girl" from everyone for the next 4 months, and it would have been more of a shock to find out at the birth. I was VERY disappointed my second was a boy. I cried and was really upset about it. I was mainly upset because I was trying to give everyone the granddaughter they wanted or the niece they wanted, etc. I was trying to please everyone. After he was born, of course it was totally different. Then I spen

BOY. Third boy. I knew it was a boy. Everyone else said girl. My mom even bought girl clothes and sent them to me in the mail. Went in for the ultrasound and she didn't even have to search. As soon as she turned on the machine, that was the first thing we saw...she didn't even have time to say anything. I said, "Well, I know what it is...it's a boy." I can't say I'm not disappointed. I am. I'm not disappointed it's a boy, but I just feel like, "Oh...okay. Third boy." I'm just not excited really, that's all. I know that sounds bad. But I just see as my oldest gets older that I want th

The pale urine is no cause for concern. The white bowel movements may be indicative of some type of obstruction or other problem. You will just have to take him to the doctor Thursday and let them assess him. They may want him to have an x-ray to check things out. The fact that he says his tummy feels bad would concern me if he says it often. It could just be that he is constipated or has gas, but you just never know. I took my son in when he was complaining of his stomach hurting. His belly was distended and they sent him for x-ray that day to check things out and probably rule out tumor

I don't know how anyone could even make a face at this guy being executed. He sentenced people to death, and now he is getting the same sentence. He deserves it...

I'll post as soon as we get back :-) I think it's a boy so much that if they tell me it's a girl I will probably faint or just not believe it! Everyone thinks it's a girl in my family, but I just feel like it's a boy. Of course, I thought my second was a girl from the moment I found out I was pregnant and he wasn't.

My anatomy scan is tomorrow! And I decided to find out the sex. I had decided not to, but I changed my mind. It seems like so many crappy things are happening lately that it will be exciting to find out what we are having. Not to mention, I HATE clutter and I am ready to say goodbye to all these clothes that don't fit my youngest if it is not a boy. Anyone want to guess? I've got 2 boys, 4 and 16 months, so I admit I am hoping that I hear girl, but I really think it is a boy. I just hope they don't try to reschedule me or something because of someone being in labor...it seems they always

Thanks for the replies. I will check the recommended places out. Tomorrow is my "big" US, so I probably will not do any looking then, but maybe Thursday!

Man, that sucks! I always passed it and thought to myself that I wanted to eat there one day. Never got to.........

My BIG ultrasound is on Wednesday (I decided to find out...I HATE clutter and I really need to get rid of boy clothes if it's a girl), so no go for me...haven't been to a lunch yet, but would like to meet some more people from here eventually.
