We had some issues with overheating in our other car. We fixed it, and it happened again and we ultimately decided to buy (PAINFULLY) another car vs. keeping on fixing that one. I have not even driven this car 200 miles yet. I get in the car to go pick up my son from pre-k. I don't know if I did something wrong perhaps, but I backed out of my driveway and pulled up onto the curb to check the mail. It was at that point that the van started shaking really badly and felt like it wanted to cut off. I don't know if I knocked something out of place pulling up onto the curb or if it just decided

I would wait until I found something else, but I would definitely try to quit working there. And I would make sure that the manager you're referring to was caught being that way to me...somehow. And, uh...where do you work so I know where NOT to eat???

I think it depends on her personality and maturity vs age. I am 23 and I love pearls. My mother bought me a pearl necklace when I was about 15 or 16 and I wore it all the time. I would still wear it, but they have been missing for a long time. I think a "friend" stole them.

That's great. What is he going to be doing exactly? Does he know yet? My neighbor works for Disney as well. She is only here about 2 months out of the year. We literally never see her. Her house sits empty all year. I am assuming she does something with entertainment because I can't imagine she would buy a house here just to work there at the ticket booth or something.

That is a great idea about the hospital! I wonder if they would take them, though? I will hang on to everything for a few days at least...let me know if there is someone in your cousin's support group whose child could use it. I know a lot of families with children with illnesses have a really hard time financially...even despite insurance they may have. Don't have any baby toys Everything I'm clearing out is from my oldest son who is almost 5. So, I would say the youngest it could go to would be 2 1/2, but really more like 3.
-
Unfortunately, the toys are really for ages 3-5...I posted 2 1/2, but that is giving it leeway. There is not anything appropriate for babies. :/

Really!?? Maybe I did something wrong then or it's because we have 2 kids, but they quoted us at $1,300/mo for a cheaper plan just a couple of months ago! Yikes......

I don't know if this belongs in the community chest or Got the Goods or what, so I will put it here to be moved if needed. I was just clearing out the playroom and I have a ton of good toys to sell. However, if I can find a little boy (wouldn't really work for a girl as they are boy toys) who has or has had cancer or some other type of illness, disease, disability, etc whose family is financially strapped...I would gladly donate it to that family vs. making money that will be spent and forgotten. This is good stuff...not junk...and I have plenty for one child to have a nice Christmas

Aw...I'm sure you have lots of great memories.

My oldest was potty trained before he was 2. However, he has not been able to stop wetting at night. I have had to keep pull-ups on him. I wet the bed until I was 7, so I'm hoping he does not follow in my footsteps. He doesn't do it every night, but he does it 3 or 4 nights per week. I make sure he uses the bathroom before bed, and many times he has not had anything to drink recently. He will sometimes go several nights in a row without doing it and I think he is over it, but then he does it again. I decided to stop buying the pull-ups and see if that helped him by making him wake up when he w

I already knew about the other uses of the word, but it still sounds off to me. Definitely a difference in how we use words. I guess I am dumb because I didn't know Lego was not in the USA!! I don't pay attention much to things like that. But...it totally makes sense now because I am trying to order off of their site and it keeps sending me to the UK site. SO ANNOYING. I am just trying to order some Legos, and no matter what I do...clear history, change region via the dropdown menu, it will not send me anywhere but the UK site. For ANY of the products. Guess they don't want my $50.

Oh, yuck!! I avoid public bathrooms at all cost. I flush with my foot and dart out of there as fast as I can! And I always close the lid when flushing the toilet at home. DH does not do that, and it bugs the crap out of me. I don't want toilet water all over everything!

My hubbie and I share our passwords, etc for convenience. Not to snoop. It's inconvenient for us to have different passwords or not know each other's passwords. There are things that get sent to his email or my email that the other has to read or has to access or something. Voicemail messages are sent to his email and I often check his email to check messages. He also has me go in and respond to emails for him. He checks mine if he needs another account to sign up under for a website or if he has something he is looking for (pic emails, etc). I will admit that hubbie and I did not have th

Maybe they are saying that because most people who rinse their chicken do not disinfect their sinks afterward. My mom always rinses her chicken before cooking it. I used to as well. But even I, a severe germ freak, stopped doing it so there is no sink issue here. My curiosity started when watching chef shows...they NEVER rinse their chicken. Then I saw something on the news about not rinsing chicken...that it does not remove anything that cooking would not kill and that it removes very, very little. Not worth the trouble of dirtying your sink. After researching it more, I stopped doing i

That sounds great...too bad it it's so far...I would take mine.
-
Yeah, that is disgusting. But, like the article goes on to state, all of that is killed with proper cooking. Chicken is extremely dirty, which is why I cook mine to death. I always take out DH's chicken first because I cook mine longer. I don't mind it on the dry side because the juices scare me......I just feel like I'm eating bacteria. Lol.

I don't think anything is off limits when you are MARRIED. Hello...I mean, unless you agree beforehand on that sort of thing. I know his passwords and he knows mine...often we share the same password. If you have nothing to hide it shouldn't be a problem. But if the other person is obsessive about looking even though they never find anything, that is just a trust issue and is a totally different thing altogether.

Well, I've got more than the price of a window invested in carseats (I have three in the car!) and my stroller was on the pricey side, too. So I will take my chances in parking lots, because if anyone comes to my house to try to break out my windows...well, they are getting shot in the leg most likely.
-
Yeah, cept for when you have kids and a ton of money in carseats and a stroller. *sigh*

What is interesting about that theory is that way before they announced she had gotten him out with a golf club, someone commented on one of the articles who is supposedly an "insider" saying that what really happened is that Tiger was caught cheating and was trying to get away from his wife. Lol......makes ya wonder.

That is terribly sad........ What I find disturbing is how they did not close it off after the second person got stuck. I mean, I think they should have done more after the FIRST person got stuck, but freak things happen. I'd at least have expected they do so after the second person. Had they taken more measures this man would probably be here. He has a second baby on the way....very sad.

I would love to put mine up, but I usually put mine up really late (like a week before or even later) because I don't like real trees (just due to the hassle...would love a real one, though), and there is just way too much lead in fake trees and my oldest just has to touch and play with the tree. And the baby would definitely be, I'm sure. I could get a gate or something, but my oldest would still find his way over it and be playing with it.

My kids and I ate leftovers for lunch just a while ago. But, unfortunately there are not any left. I left the turkey out on the counter last night because I was just too tired to carve and save the meat or do anything for that matter. There was a small amount from my son's plate that I put in the fridge. We ate that, all the leftover green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and pie. Still pie left, though.

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyy...chicken is off the menu!!!!!!!!!
