Blondie and I, well Blondie really, are making a huge pot of Gumbo tomorrow for a family get together at my parents house for their 57th wedding anniversary. I've never had Blondies Gumbo before. She says it is wonderful! I'm looking forward to it.

My useless ex-wife still receives her SSI for being blind. Can she work? Absolutely. Will she work? Hell no. Why work when the government will take care of her. Oh, and me through the exorbitant alimony I pay. She actually did go to the SS office one time at my insisting to try and get it dropped. I was afraid that because of the large salary I was making at the time SS would come back and demand repayment of her benefits. She was told that it didn't matter how much money I made. It only mattered what she made. So glad I got rid of her lazy ass.

I have a 1976 BMW R100/7 sitting in my garage I really need to do something with. One of the original cafe racers. There were only about 1000 of them imported into the US in '76. Only 12,000 of them made from 1976 to 1980. At the time they were considered by many the Rolls Royce of motorcycles. It hasn't run in over 13 years. One of these days I will get the notion to take it to someone who properly restore it.

I got an e-mail yesterday from our accountant. Our 2010 tax returns are final. We will be getting a nice refund! Surely helps in this economy. We are taking a small portion and renting a pet friendly cabin in Blue Ridge in November. Our two rotten ass Labs will get a vacation too! (aren't they on permanent vacation anyways? )About a month later than our anniversary coming up in October but we're still calling it our anniversary trip.

I will always miss Andrew coming up to our pasture to tend to his "swamp" cows. Rest in peace, Andrew.
