It's probably the same thing that happens on Chevy trucks. My dads pickup did it for years and the dealer could not fix it until recently they came up with the fix. We replaced the intermediate steering shaft. $69 for the part, took one of my mechanics 15 minutes to replace it. Problem solved.

FHA never said anything about ours. I bought in '99 and have refinanced twice. Nothing was ever said about it. I had to move my drain field in 2002 when I built the garage-majal. I don't remember the name of the company, my builder handled it. He told me the size of the tank and drain field was determined by the number of bedrooms only. True or not, I'm not sure.
