Rear-view camera on locomotive pulling train through a tornado

Holy crap!!!! When that tank car kept going, I almost started! -
I accept! As long as I'm not a zippy pinhead. It was actually quite simple to do. I was shocked!

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!! I can print from my laptop. Sooooo glad I don't have to e-mail myself stuff now. Thanks to Georgia Dawg & Austin Plantation.
-
I have the initial connection made. It's downloading the driver right this minute! It will be nice not to have to e-mail myself stuff to print out.

Yep, have the wi-fi from the laptop to the router by the desktop. Sounds simple enough. I'm at the desktop now, so I'll set that to share the printer before I head back downstairs. Everything I read online just sounded so complicated! I thought it would be simple but had no idea how to do it. THANKS A MILLION, both of you.

I have a laptop that I use downstairs. It has a wireless Internet connection. I have a desktop upstairs that has a printer attached to it. Is there some way that I can use my printer upstairs and print from my laptop downstairs? And please KISS (keep it simple). If it matters, the laptop is running Windows 7 and the desktop is running Windows XP.

After reading the article in PC World that Mike linked, I did the scan. I only had three minor issues that came up and none of them were critical. I tweaked the setting that not just everyone can send me an e-mail. I also removed my website listing. Other than that, I was fine and passed! Even my friends can share information about me, as I have ALL of those types of settings set to "only friends". I think the biggest problem with using Facebook is people either don't know about the privacy settings or don't care to set them. Yes, it is time consuming to set them but I feel confide

I have to wonder how safe these links are. I clicked on one and the quote at the top of the page made me quite uncomfortable using that particular site. When I clicked on another one and started to follow instructions, my AV popped up that it might not be safe. So, which is more of a threat--Facebook or the sites that supposedly alert you to security issues with Facebook.

I think the quote at the top of that page you linked to says it all. BTW, I searched for ME and found nothing about ME. I'm quite sure I'm not the one who was "called back to work". I think I would know this if it had happened.

You can use an alias on FB, too. You have to sign up using your real name but you can choose a different display name. You're not required to use your full name, or your maiden name. I have a friend who uses his nickname and not his given name. I use only my married name. My daughter uses her stage name. You can hide any of that personal information on FB, too. Nobody, including my friends, can see my personal information--such as marital status, children, hometown, age, birthdate, etc. I have that set tight. Basically, if you don't know who I am, unless I send a friend request to you

Along the lines of privacy in general and FB in particularly, we were at the Social Security office on Tuesday and the person we dealt with (who lives in Paulding, BTW) said that one should NEVER post their full name (that goes for maiden names, too) or birthdates on FB. He said that with those two tiny pieces of information, you would be amazed at what someone can do. He said he sees on a daily basis the problems that can occur with identity theft. I told him that I didn't have my full name, birthdate or picture on there. I do have a picture, but it isn't my profile picture. It's bu

Before the Winn Dixie on Brownsville Road closed, I had noticed a particular car sitting in one spot for several days. It appeared to be empty, had a current tag, no flat tires, nothing appeared wrong with the car (I checked). After about a week, I reported it to the manager. Before I pulled out of the parking lot, the police were there checking it out. The next time I went, the car was gone. I DO pay attention to things like that if I'm there frequently. A similar thing happened in the downtown Dallas parking lot, too. Same car, same spot, day after day. I don't remember if I called t

You can get plain postcards at the post office. I think they come stamped and cost a few cents more than the cost of the postage. You can also buy postcard stock at any office supply and print them yourself. Look where the labels are located. Avery makes good postcards. Postcard stamps are sold at the post office. I can't remember who much they cost, since it's been about a year since I needed any, but you can buy booklets of them, individual stamps or a roll of 100. No need to go to the post office every time you need to mail one.

Some private schools have scholarships. They might check with the schools to find out if these are available. I am pretty sure my granddaughter and grandson had partial scholarships to the private school they attended. I'm with you about it being horrible that better options aren't available in public schools. Not sure AP classes are even a good answer.

My dad was walking home from my grandmother's house one time. It was about 1/2 mile by road, I guess. He was barely out of sight of my grandmother's home when he found a body. He was recovering from a heart attack at the time. My aunts and mom all insisted that he get checked out to make sure he was OK. He was, but it sure shook him up. I don't think he ever fully recovered from it. He first thought the man was asleep but soon realized that he wasn't. The man had been dead less than 2 hours, though.

You could be describing my oldest granddaughter. Reading on about 5th grade level in first or second grade, finish her work well before the other kids, being a distraction to the others because she was finished while they were still working, etc. My daughter and son in law put her in private school. The work was a lot more challenging, the classes were smaller and in all honesty, the teachers and the school in general expected students to excel and not just try to keep up or to fit in with everyone else. She's finishing up 11th grade this week and has already started thinking about her MBA

Guess this is something like "potholing" and I just out of the loop.

Not sure what being "parkinlotted" means but I did have a wreck in the parking lot at Cobb Center many years ago and I went parking there a couple of times. Once a cop showed up, other than to the wreck. Didn't applaud, though. Do those things count?

Prayers being said for him, and for you. Liver cancer is a bear. I went to school with a guy who had liver cancer and ended up having not just one, but TWO liver transplants. Sadly, he did not survive but it wasn't due as much to the liver cancer as it was other health issues related to his heart. Be sure to check out the American Liver Foundation for information that may be of help to you. http://www.liverfoundation.org/ Most importantly--stay POSITIVE!! Hugs to you!

I can't remember how much it cost, and this was back in 2003-2004-2005 but it was quite reasonably priced. I paid a whole year in advance and think the whole year was around $160.00.

if it is just a double pane window, you probably can have just the window replace. However, it is an insulated window, or filled with argon, you can't just replace the glass. Good luck!
-
do you have any paperwork about the window? Know who manufactured the window? Often, these types of windows have warranties that will even cover at least the materials for things like this (you probably would still have to pay the labor). I think you can raise the window and look at the bottom and find some of that information. I know mine have it at the bottom. If they tilt out, tilt out the bottom section and see if the information is there. If you have to get the whole window replaced, which I really don't think you will but you probably can't just replace the glass, try Win

My mom had Life Alert. It was wonderful! Reasonably priced, too. My mom had to be careful not to set it off by accident. They ALWAYS responded within seconds. I can't remember how many times it was used by necessity but I do remember that my sister was always contacted within a couple of minutes. I know once the paramedics had to wait for my sister to get there to take my mom to the hospital. My mom was being stubborn and refused to go until my sister got there.
