Generally that works but it depends on the bank. I had Walk-all-over-you TRY to refuse that with me once. They did not want to accept it as "for deposit only" without a signature because it might come back. We had WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more money in the account than the check was for, and I told the teller that I wanted the check deposited and was willing to take the risk of it coming back (it was a paycheck and it wasn't coming back, I knew that for a fact). Note to OP: unless she was going to cash the check, she should be fine just writing "for deposit only" on it.

I knew a woman who was alive because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Her car crashed down the embankment next to the Covered Bridge, she was ejected and the car burned. She is alive BECAUSE she didn't have a seatbelt since she was knocked out. OTOH, my nephew was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died of massive injuries when the car landed on top of him. Had he been wearing a seatbelt, he would have survived.

I am quite certain that I would have been a pregnant widow had my husband not been wearing a helmet when he had a motorcycle accident in the summer of 1980. His head hit the hood of a car, he flipped over the car and landed ON HIS FEET on the other side of the car. Had his head hit the hood instead of his helmet, our daughter more than likely would not have known her dad. He broke his leg but didn't even sustain a concussion. Just had a pretty bad headache but otherwise as far as his head went, he was fine.

I looked at the Sunsilk website. Maybe the stores ARE still carrying it but since the bottle has changed it looks NOTHING like it used to. http://www.sunsilk.us/ According to Walmart's website they have it in the stores. Several online stores have it as well. I have used the cream whatever-you-call-it like mousse. I love it. I only use it when I have perms, though. Otherwise, my hair doesn't need it.

Anyone wanting Pantene coupons needs to pick up the Sunday paper when the Proctor & Gamble monthly coupons come out. There are usually coupons for it in that section. That section generally comes out the first Sunday of the month.

We have a 42 inch Samsung plasma HDTV and use a rooftop antenna. Great, GREAT picture. If the Direct TV HD is better, I won't ever leave the house. Especially during golf tournaments and NASCAR.

I haven't had to buy any in a good while, but the last time I did I got them at Kroger. I *thought* Walmart had them, too.

I agree with you Mike. Most of the backup systems for doctors office are offsite anyway. Heck, most of the systems themselves are offsite with just a workstation in the office and exam rooms. IF indeed they lost anything, it might have been anything entered since the last backup, not EVERYTHING. My SIL used to sell and install these systems and they were not simple home-type computer systems. They have systems and controls that the home user would never need or understand. Even the firewalls have firewalls. Since many doctors no longer own their practices, there is nothing they can

My hair is short but in humid weather it frizzes like crazy. I started using Sunsilk Defrizz conditioner about a year ago when I last got a perm. I now use it when I don't have a perm and it keeps the frizz and fly away hair in check. I also use Herbal Essences 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. Between the two products, my hair is smooth and silky. Well, not right this second because I haven't shampoo'd in three days but NORMALLY, it is. BTW, the Sunsilk products are quite reasonably priced, as are the Herbal Essences products. I think Herbal Essences makes a

I'm leaning more and more toward Direct TV, AT&T or cable for Internet and either no landline phone or MagicJack. Most of the calls we will be making will be long distance, so MagicJack would be great for that. Have cells for local calls since there won't be many of them. Everyone I know who has satellite loves it. Of course, everyone I know who has cable loves it, too. I have neither. Over 100 channels will be a nice change, whether it's cable or a dish. I'd be glad to if they would honor this out of this area. I'll find out before I hook up anything.
-
I know in the past, cable would go out with the least little weather issue. I used to keep a screwdriver on the TV so I could hook the antenna back up. Hmmmm. Interesting about the positioning of the satellites. There will be a lot of trees around but if the receiver dish can be pointed more upright, it will be better.
-
Right now have antenna but where we will be, the antenna may not be a good idea. HERE it is fine. Thanks for the link. I will check it out.

Wow! Sounds like Direct TV is the way to go. I hope it isn't just they are better in this area.

My brain hurts. Been shopping for utilities. I checked the cable service and man was that confusing!! Couldn't tell what channels are available, what it would cost or anything. I *THINK* it was going to be around $40 a month for basic cable. Not sure though. That set me to looking at satellite providers. Both Dish and Direct have similar offers though Direct seems to have more channels in their basic package than Dish or the cable company. Thoughts on Dish and Direct? Price difference is minimal, if any, but Direct does have more channels so I'm wondering if it is indeed better

Not necessarily. It's much, much, MUCH easier for them to pull the name of the med off the bottle than to have you write it down. They can get all the info needed--med, strength, dosage and PHARMACY--from the bottle. I've noticed most of the docs we have been to lately want you to bring the bottles. We went to one doctor and while they didn't want to look at the bottle, they did ask me information about the med that I wouldn't have had if I had left the bottles at home. There are so many meds, both generic and brand name, and so many strengths and dosages that they often need EXACT inform

It's simple to request a copy of your medical records. A lot of offices will send them with just a phone call from you. Others require you to send a records request. Google "medical record release" and there are forms, particularly on the Microsoft website, that you can use. No need to PAY a penny for one of those forms either!! Or you can type up your own form. Mine just has patient's name, address, phone number and SS# and requests that records be faxed to me and that they are for my own personal use. Most offices won't charge you if they fax the records but a lot of them will charge

I seriously doubt everything was lost. It's common practice for a doctor's office to request you bring in all your pill bottles when you come in. I've hauled them around to two different doctors lately, in fact. It's just much easier on them to have the actual bottle to get info from, instead of having you write them down. Also, not unusual not to get a call on blood work especially if everything is OK. That was my beef with my former PCPs office. I wanted to know what the labs were and wanted a copy and had to call them. As far as what you can do: very little other than change d

Any one else having problems with pharmacy
Mama Carol replied to DonBrownJr's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We use Kroger, a different one though. Never any problems. I did have HUGE problems with Sams. It was during the time I was limping around on a broken foot awaiting surgery and I had to pick up my hormone patches. I dropped it off for refill on a Saturday and they said that prescription had run out so they would have to call the doctor for a refill on Monday. So I go there on Wednesday or so, walk back to the pharmacy, which is a LONG way from the parking lot, only to have them tell me that the doctors office never called them back. I waited about four days after I dropped it off to st -
deceased family's social displayed online..
Mama Carol replied to dporter1183's topic in RECENT TOPICS
How freaky! Someone with MY name was born 40 years to the DAY before I was. I think there is no problem with a deceased person's SS# being available for view online since those accounts are closed out. If someone tried to use one of those numbers, SSA would probably kick it out. -
try these people: http://gulfproperties.com/ We've been dealing with them for almost 25 years and they are just absolutely the nicest people. Same people all that time, too! You can check availability and see pictures online but for last minute reservations, you should call them. Number is on the website. It's at Navarre Beach, between Pensacola Beach and Ft Walton Beach. Not much in the way of nightlife, but there is a little bit and it is a quick drive to Pensacola Beach which DOES have nightlife. Pretty deserted on weekdays so if you're there on Monday you will just about have th

Not me. Lost a neighbor to breast cancer caused by implants. Highly unlikely I will EVER want to have that done.

It's been a couple of years since I ordered them and don't remember for sure but I think they are polarized. I also have clip ons that came with one pair of glasses I got from Zenni. They don't fit the glasses I have now very well but I do wear them from time to time. I can't wear my sunglasses when I drive because I find them distracting but I can wear the clip ons.
-
I wear them some of the time. I plan to start wearing them more often, though. Mine are prescription. I got them from Zenni Optical. I think they were under $20. Same prescription as my regular glasses, just tinted for sunglasses. I love them. They are cool looking red and black plastic frames.

We were advised not to use U Haul and to use Penske instead. No, they aren't generally the same price. I've been checking and have found a considerable difference in price. Some give unlimited mileage while some are more like hourly charges.
