That's another reason I don't go to Sam's. They told me that they called my doctor's office to get a refill approval but my doctor's office said they never got the call. Then when they got the call from my doctor's office authorizing the refill, they told the office that they had called there repeatedly and got no response. They happened to have gotten the DOCTOR with that authorization and not the office staff. She chewed them out up one side and down the other and said that if her office staff said they didn't get a call, they didn't get a call and that her patient was VERY upset that sh

Looks like any county would need a morgue. The local hospital just seems to make sense.

Kroger. I used to go to Sams but after the day I had to park way out in the parking lot, walk inside to the back of the store, have them slam the "door" down as I walked up and then refuse to serve me until they finished their break I was done with them. I was walking on an infected foot at the time. Every single step was excruciating. I switched to Kroger the next month when it came time to get my refill. We let our Sams membership lapse after that as well. Back in 2001 when it was still Eckerd, I would go there from time to time. I've only been to Rite Aid once and it was fine

Why can't the new hospital have one? Or for that matter, the CURRENT hospital? I've been down to the morgue at Cobb. Yep, wrong turn but they do have one.

While it's certainly not on the same scale as this, my daughter's neighbors filed fraudulent returns and received in the neighborhood of $10,000-$12,000 in federal refunds. No idea about the state but then again, the state of Georgia doesn't offer all the tax breaks that the IRS does. These people claimed they were students (they aren't), that they had jobs (they don't) and that they have kids (one does but likely couldn't legally claim the kid).

My heart goes out to the grandmother. I can't imagine what she is going through right now. -
The first pain specialist my hubby went to was great. Dr. Cable. He's over in Smyrna off the East West Connector, near South Cobb Drive and 285.

:clapping: :clapping: I agree!! I don't care if you are the class valedictorian, if you're a GOOD kid you don't commit crimes. -
Great idea!! Discuss it with me, if they think I'm the person they want, or leave me alone. Generally, they aren't that sure you're who they want.

The person they are trying to reach may have given them your number, either as a contact number or reference or something. Until you tell the caller you don't KNOW that person and tell them in no uncertain terms that you don't know that person, they will continue to call you. I had to tell three callers over three days that I did not know and have never heard of my daughter's brother in law. My words to the third one "nope, never heard of that person so there is no need to call me again". The first two just didn't take my word for it. Unless some of the calls that we don't answer are fo

I've always heard that Aragon had aggressive law enforcement as do Austell and Powder Springs. And way to go Powder Springs! We're only 103 on the list!!

As I said in an earlier post, if the collection people are calling for YOU there is a lot you can do to stop the calls. If they are calling for someone else, there is almost NOTHING you can do to get them to stop until they decide to stop. You're not protected by the Fair Credit Reporting Agency. The person they are calling IS but you, who are being harassed day and night, are NOT. The collectors just figure you're either the person they are calling for or that you are covering for the person they are calling for or you know how to get in touch with the person they are calling for. The

Are you on the do-not-call list? If not, get on it and then file complaints against them ESPECIALLY if you have told them not to call again. File a complaint EVERY TIME they call, too. Not just one complaint. Note the time, date and number they called from because you'll need that to file the complaint. If you have almost any enhanced phone service package from AT&T you probably have call block. I don't remember if these work with out of area numbers but I think they do. USE IT if you have it. I had a furniture store calling for my son in law. They called so often that I blo

Everyone grieves differently. Some people are never ready to move on. Some people need a long, long time to properly grieve and be ready to move on. Others, not so long. She may just not want to be alone right now. I can totally see that. I am really of the belief that you're better off waiting a year after a death of a close family member (spouse, parent or child/grandchild) before you do ANYTHING other than get from one day to the next. After the deaths of my newborn grandsons I was literally in a fog for almost a year. I finally "came to" one day sitting in a tropical storm in

Unfortunately, if they are calling for someone other than you there isn't that much you can do to get rid of them. Some crazy thing about the Fair Credit Reporting Law. If they were calling for you, you could simply ask them not to call again. Because it's not you they are wanting, you're not protected. I told you it was crazy. You might invest in Caller ID if you don't have it and not answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. Or use an answering machine and let all calls go to that. Generally, it doesn't work very well to call back and ask them not to call again. If

I'll have to ask hubby or take a look at the container but whatever we got this year has worked great. NO more mounds anywhere in the yard. In years past we were like you said--put it on one mound and they would move.

Not only would I not be depressed, I would be wealthy beyond my wildest dreams! Can you imagine the PR that would come out of 57 year old woman nine years post hysterectomy being pregnant!

Have you ever noticed how many politicians owe taxes? Unbelievable! And we wonder how these people who obviously can't handle their own affairs well are expected to handle public affairs and taxpayer money. I know of a certain state senator who I will not vote for because of how he has treated his high school classmates at reunion time. Hey, if you're not willing to shell out the money to come to the reunion, don't come to the reunion and sweet talk your way into it and still not pay! You won't be getting MY vote nor that of at least three of your former classmates.

I'm not new but you can teach an old dog new tricks. I just starting using the "recent topics" button in the past week. So, I'm a little slow.

oh boy, here come property tax assesments....
Mama Carol replied to FreeBird's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LOL. I told my husband something similar. I told him I thought the tax assessors picked out assessments and taped them to darts which they threw at pictures of the houses. Whichever dart landed on your house was what your assessment was. For us to go from the 16th highest assessment (out of 17) to 4th just doesn't make sense. There have not really been any changes to our house or the others. -
That's like three price hikes in less than two years!!

During the times we had employees, we never verified. We were more concerned with whether or not you had the skills to do the job. A piece of paper meant little. I doubt anyone has ever verified mine. Good thing, too. Those stone tablets are mighty heavy to haul out of the basement of the Cobb County School System main office.

I'm around a lot of people. You hear a lot around the office.

Glad to hear they found a place. Last I heard they weren't sure where they would be held.

Since the topic is GED, where IS the closest place to take the prep classes? I heard that the facility where they were being held decided not to do it again.
