  1. There are a LOT of people who should never attempt their own return. If you have one W2 and maybe mortgage interest, you're OK on your own. Otherwise, get an accountant. Glad I did back all those years ago.
  2. I'm highly sensitive to smells, particularly tobacco. I've not noticed any smell from the e-cigs other than a mild spice scent. And I do mean MILD. Almost non-existent. But I gotta tell you, those things are freaky. Sorry Pubby.
  3. If anything, there is a slightly spicy scent to them. Almost like cinnamon or cloves but not as heavy as if someone was smoking a clove cigarette.

Gotcha! That's bad when a computer company can't get information entered correctly.

That's wild! I've never seen one be totally wrong except for name and address. Is this a small company or a large one?
  6. I think the older appliances were better. Except dishwashers. I've not had any luck with any of them.
  7. And if you haven't gotten too far into Taxact, go to Freetaxusa and file the 1040 for free. Go back to Taxact and try again. It's there. It's on Schedule A.
  8. Oh how funny!! I saw where you said her washer was 20 years old and still worked. My first washer and dryer both lasted well over 20 years.

It is NEVER a good idea to try to do your tax return based on your last paystub. While it is tempting to go ahead and file with either the last paystub or an incorrect W2, RESIST THAT TEMPTATION! Amended returns are not easy to do, especially if you're changing something substantial like income. You're much better off waiting until you get your W2 or a corrected W2 if the original is wrong. Besides, there is important information found on your W2 that is not on your paystub.
  10. If you're on the south side of Paulding, the one near Arbor Place Mall would be closer than Town Center and Barrett Parkway. But Family Christian is located on Austell Rd, near Burlington Coat Factory. That might be closer than either of the other two.

Nope, wait for the corrected one. It will save you many headaches and a lot of money. It shouldn't take them more than a week to correct it, depending on whether or not it's a small company or a large one. We used to do them for our clients as soon as we possibly could get to them. We generally told our clients that we had to finish printing everyone's and then we would start on corrections. Much easier to do all corrections for a business at one time. Your last paystub MIGHT not be correct for the 2012 earnings. It should be but it's possible that it is the one that is incor
  12. I'll take either one. Love them both!!
  13. How about a little KC and the Sunshine Band and "That's The Way I Like It'?
  14. Not just Paulding. LOTS of politics involved in playing ball at McEachern, too. ANY ball and band.
  15. When my daughter played basketball, as long as they had not yet reached their 16th birthday when they signed up, they were OK. My daughter turned 16 during the last season she played. Here's a link to the Powder Springs Youth organization: http://psyb.teamopolis.com/
  16. Is there a rec league team? My daughter would never try out for the high school basketball team but she loved playing basketball. A rec league team was the perfect solution for her, and for us. She also helped the coach one year when she was unable to play due to an injury. She was the oldest member of the team and the only one who had ever actually played on a team before. While she couldn't play, she could still help the other players by giving them individual help. Your son might try something like that, too. Is Sports-A-Rama still around???
  17. I loved watching that show!! Thank you for posting that clip.
  18. Thanks but no thanks. I prefer to look at my hubby's bewbies.

  20. Ours was higher. Then I got to thinking about it and we had done a lot differently so it didn't matter. We turned our heat up since hubby was recovering from surgery and tended to be cool at night. Hubby was inside all day every day, usually with the TV on. Christmas was in December. More cooking. Longer nights, more lights. Think about it and see if there wasn't something different for you. Kids at home due to holiday break, maybe? More computers, game systems, TVs running? More cooking? Think it over. I bet you'll see that things were different and you just didn't realize i
  21. Mold needs to be removed. Period. Like PcsCharli says, it isn't rocket science but it has to be done. You need to protect yourself while doing it, too. Mold treated improperly can continue to grow and do more damage and impact your health. If wood, like joists for instance, have been wet for any length of time, you really can't dry them out properly. You can't dry out drywall properly either. It should be replaced at least several feet above where the wet area was. Mold can grow quickly, too. Ours went from undetected on our annual termite inspection in March 2011 to covering a
  22. LOVE IT!!! Many apologies to my cop friend who is a rather large guy.
  23. I like you already!! I don't do snakes and they can have whatever area I'm in. Welcome!
  24. My experience was pretty much like LPPTs. We had a slow leak that we had no clue was happening. We just knew that the foyer floor, at the bottom of the stairs, seemed to keep getting softer and softer. Finally, almost in desperation, my husband and I took up the laminate floor thinking that it might just be a loose board. Were we ever wrong! We had three layers of rotting wood, mold from the liner under the laminate to the joists. We opened it up and promptly called our insurance company. They sent a claims rep out who assessed the damage and gave us the names of three contractors they
