Foods can be addictions as well. Eating can be an addiction. Not eating can be an addiction.

Valid point. However, to a diabetic, someone with severe allergies, someone with celiac disease or other conditions, ingesting the item could be as deadly TO THEM as drugs are to an addict. I had over 50 food allergies as a child. I couldn't expect the grocery store to stop carrying chocolate syrup or bread or corn because I couldn't eat those. One should not expect a retail establishment to stop selling a LEGAL product because some people can't handle it. This is in part my beef with the laws in place regarding Sudafed.

My daughter and granddaughters would love it. We just may have to have a mommy and me day at the skating rink. My daughter will drive.
-
My mom would not allow alcohol in the house so not in my family. There have been times I wanted a drink at one of those functions. One Thanksgiving dinner in particular.

Thousands of people are injured while skating in skating rinks every year. I'd venture to say 99.99% of them are sober. The greatest risk I see from this is not to the kids at the skating rink but to the adult who has a drink or two and then attempts to skate. With the "skate at your own risk" signs everywhere, it seems the rink would have no liability for injuries due to intoxicated skaters. This thread has made me want to go back to the skating rink and attempt to skate. Quite honestly, I'd need a couple of stiff drinks to be able to stand up on skates now. It's been way too many y

Apparently a lot of people did.

Do you eat at most restaurants around town? Ruby Tuesday, La Cocina, Chili's, Jim N Nicks, etc? Do you buy groceries at a grocery store such as Kroger, Ingles or Publix? Do you buy gas at Quik Trip or Racetrac? If you answer yes to ANY of these questions, you are "supporting" establishments that sell or serve alcohol. So former member's opinion means something to you? For the record, we never sheltered our kids from people who were drinking. I, myself, rarely drink but have on occasion. My children have seen me drink. They have seen their father drink. Our youngest has been a

Why would this be any different than say taking the kids out to Ruby Tuesday or Chili's for dinner or taking them to a Braves game, knocking back a couple of drinks over the course of maybe two hours, then putting the kids in the car and driving home? It is one and the same. Are either a good idea? Heck no. But adults can make their own decisions.

You mean it's still open?

I see you went to Jonquil, too.

You're absolutely correct. I am hugely loyal to my clients because they have been loyal to and supportive of me. Not financially necessarily. While I'd love to make more money, I love helping my peeps than I want the money. I actually stayed in a job far too long because I was loyal to the business owner. I stayed at least 3 years too long. But he was good to me, so I was good to him. We still keep in touch, even tonight.
-
As you should. That's actually a good "price" to charge.

The contract workers need to get the heck out of Dodge. If the contract workers make HALF the pay, they are big losers.
-
As a contract worker, my loyalty is to my clients. In my case, that is the ones who sign the checks (not paychecks because I'm not an employee). They are also the ones who provide the money through billing their customers for services rendered (and in some cases, products).

I have real problems with registered sex offenders and how that system works. Just because one has a mental illness does not make them dangerous. Perhaps to themselves.

I wish I'd found it last year before I did my returns. I paid for software last year and really didn't care for it. I wasn't aware that freetaxusa had so many more forms and schedules. I needed a Schedule C and a Schedule E. Most of the free software doesn't have those.

If what you normally take is 1 mg, then breaking a 2 mg tablet in two should not be a problem. It could be that because you DIDN'T take it for a few days when you started back it caused a headache. When I started on my hormone patches the first time, it was like I was on speed. For about an hour. I had a headache later, too. Any time I went off them for a month or two and then went back on them, I had the same problem.

I am using Freetaxusa for my daughter's return. Likely will use it for my return as well. But I don't recommend any one service over another since I have such limited exposure to online tax prep. I used freetaxusa last year to compute my daughter's amended return because it had more schedules and forms than most others. Oh, had them for free. Most online tax prep services have additional schedules and forms but you pay extra for them. Not so with freetax.
-
After doing tax prep since 1995, I pretty well know personal taxes. Thank goodness I've gotten away from doing it but I still know it and still take the continuing ed every year. It's nice not having my life dictated by the tax deadline now.

Here you go: Amounts you receive as workers' compensation for an occupational sickness or injury are fully exempt from tax if they are paid under a workers' compensation act or a statute in the nature of a workers' compensation act. The exemption also applies to your survivors. The exemption, however, does not apply to retirement plan benefits you receive based on your age, length of service, or prior contributions to the plan, even if you retired because of an occupational sickness or injury.

Standard size cheap pillow from Walmart. And my husband. I am needing to change pillows but because I get the $5 pillow at Walmart, I can change as often as necessary. The side sleeper pillow is used occasionally, too.
-
If you go to a brick and mortar store to look at pillows, try them. I know it looks strange but lay down on the floor with the pillow you're considering. Your neck should be straight and level with your spine. If it is bent, you will likely have headaches. You might even do better with two thin pillows than one thicker one. Make sure your neck is supported either by the pillow or a rolled up towel. I use a side sleeper pillow. But I don't sleep with my head on it as a rule but I do on occasion. My pillow has a seam that bothers my ear so I don't often sleep with on it. Ther

Nah, she/he/it is not embarrassed to discuss her business. She has no business to discuss.

Yeah, Granny's got the possum stew on the stove, while the Baldwin sisters are breaking out some of Papa's recipe. We're thinking the constable is sure to be called before nightfall.

I don't know which are worse. Reece's or chocolate covered cherries.
