I can't imagine being in a cave again. Hubby took me to an abandoned gold mine when we were dating. I was there maybe 30 seconds and told him I had to leave. Never have had a desire to go back. I hate heights and enclosed places.

Job Seekers Are Being Asked For Their Private Pass Words
Mama Carol replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My passwords? Hell no. Not even my husband has those. Funny thought. A couple of years ago I went on an interview and the interviewer said he checked out all potential employees on FB. I had to stop myself from laughing and asking him "what did you find about me?" I can tell you what he found out about me on FB. Nothing. Nada. I'm on there but even the majority of friends don't see anything that I post and you can't search for me and find me either. If you're not the friend of a friend, you can't send me friend requests either. I just don't understand why people plaster thei -
That would be worse than the MRI!!! Unless I could watch "Two and a Half Men".
-
That's how my first one was done. I am VERY claustrophobic. I mean REALLY bad. I can't stand being in a phone booth (remember those?). The MRI wasn't bad. To me, it wasn't as bad as the CT scan. The worst part of the MRI was the noise. They did give me some headphones and played some southern rock for me, so I was fine. My husband was shocked that I did as well as I did. He was concerned that I would have a panic attack. His concern was valid. I had a mild panic attack when I had the CT scan. I've heard the open, stand up MRIs are much easier.

I happen to want to meet as many Pcommers as I can. Love to be able to put a face with a screen name. I won't be able to get that picture of Feelip out of my mind, though.

Pubby had stents placed for blockages in his arteries.

My hair got yucky from the stuff they stuck the leads to my scalp with but otherwise, it was a breeze and completely painless. Apparently, contrary to popular belief, I do have a brain.

Tina Drummond aka Barbed Wire http://anddrum.com/ 770-505-0370 She's one of the smart folks on this board. She's a CPA and a heckuva nice lady. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Barbed Wire can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but if you're not on the mortgage, you can't claim the interest. However, if you file married separate and your husband itemizes you HAVE to itemize as well, even if that means you only have your car ad valorem tax to claim or if it means you'll have to pay taxes. You said filing separately, you would have owed $1000. You said you tried filing jointly and would owe $1334 in state. What would the totals each way have been? IOW, what would you have owed/been refunded? Married filing separate for the state and federal vs m

I call that time of life the time where we no longer have to worry about being liked. We just speak our mind and let the chips fall where they may. And I'd love to meet you and Curious Scorpio. I know one of Curious Scorpio's sons so I would love to meet his mom. If she's half as nice as he is, she's a dear.

Reminds me of a scene from "Frasier".

A little scary but not too bad. Yes, Pubby is a French model.
-
I think that holds true in most cases. BTW, I would love to meet Guard Dad.
-
No, it is not earned income. You still need to file a return and should get back everything withheld by unemployment.
-
I suggest you go to the accountant who answered your question--Barbed Wire.

Me, too. I feel I already know her anyway. I also want to meet Lucky 64, Mr Dis, Nitro, Feelip and many others!

We ARE long overdue for a meet and greet of some kind. I met a bunch of Pcommers at a lunch a couple of years ago. Ah crap, that was more than a "couple of years" ago. I was still working because a friend kidnapped me and took me to the lunch. I remember meeting Scarlet and a bunch of other people whose names I can't remember. BTW, to that "kidnapper", thank you!!

I want to meet Stradial and Powder Springs Dad probably the most of anyone else. There are a few others I want to meet but it would likely surprise even them that I want to meet them.

If the pump shuts off at $x.97, I'm going to the next dollar. Otherwise, what it shuts off at is what I get.

I told my husband it was 10% and he looked at me and said "you need to pay attention. It's 5%". This from a man who has been to Kroger maybe five times in the years it has been there (the one on Brownsville). It's 5% and the age is 60. However, the age was 55 when I turned 55, so I still ask for my discount (if they don't automatically give it to me) even though I'm not yet 60. Most of the time, I never have to ask. The self-scan area cashiers know me and don't have to ask. What really bothers me is when I buy beer on Wednesday, they give me the senior discount without checkin

I know Madea and think she is one really special person. I think the world of her, though I don't tell her that. Guess she will know that now, huh? Missed meeting Nature Girl by just a few minutes. We have some mutual friends. What I know of her on here and from her friends, I would love to meet her in person. I consider New Attitude my very best friend in the entire world. Love her dearly! Subby is just beyond words. He and I got along like old friends the day we met. He's just what you see here, too. I so miss Johnny Jacobs. He was a dear, dear man. Very gentl

You are absolutely right about Lady Raider. She is one of the nicest people I've ever had the privilege to meet. And I look forward to meeting you, too. I feel like I know you. Funny thing is when we do finally meet we may go, "so that's who you are!".

I think the first question you need to answer is are the shutters decorative or do they actually protect or strengthen your house. If they are decorative, they likely would not be covered by insurance. If they protect your house, then they likely would be covered AND likely qualify you for a discount on your insurance. I say this based on the experience we have had in our search for a house. We have been told several times that houses with hurricane shutters have lower premiums on homeowners.
