We just recently bought a short sale house. I had heard all the horror stories, but I fell in love with this house. We put the offer in at the end of March and closed by June 1st. We heard back from their bank (BofA) after 40 days. They had originally said between 45-90 days. But I kept the mentality of "If its meant to be, it will happen". It was not nearly as scary or frustrating as everyone had told me. Just remember, DO NOT lock in a rate with your bank until you hear from the sellers bank. If you love the house, you'll be so glad that you stuck it out. Good luck to you, hang in

Please move, far, far away as quickly as you can. I hear Siberia is a beautiful place. -
I used to work in retail years and years ago. My coworkers and I conducted a non scientific study on pulling vs. pushing. We realized that 90% of the pullers were men. The only reason we could come up with for the gender disparity was that men thought they looked more masculine pulling rather than daintily pushing a cart. See, you aren't the only one who has noticed and fixated on cart pullers.

PTSD does not equate to crazY. That stereotype is what deters those who really need help from seeking it out.

I recently moved near this field. Until I moved, I had never heard of such a thing. But it's really fun to watch! -
No way, implants look ridiculous. There seems to be a new trend in staying natural versus implants as well. I'm all for looking my best but I draw the line at surgical procedures.

Foxes are mostly nocturnal so it would be fairly normal to see one at that time of day. But I certainly wouldn't stop to pet it

Wendy's Petsitting is THE BEST!!!!! I cannot tell you enough how incredible Wendy is. She was worth every penny I spent. Not only is she absolutely conscientous, she's so caring and has a quite extensive background caring for pets. I had neighbors or friends care for my beloved pets (one has since passed) but I still worried about them. Also, when I returned home, I could tell they weren't given the utmost care. Once I got with Wendy, I could go on vacation for 2 weeks+, and come home to to very content pets. I never worried when they were in her care. BUT, I do believe she is booked

Well to answer the OP's question...at least one less person would get sneezed on.

Yeah, it's only hispanics who get Peachcare. I forgot.

Just because someone is more comfortable speaking their native language does not mean they don't know English. It also doesn't mean they are illegal immigrants. I meet people everyday who were born here who barely have a grasp on the English language, or American history for that matter.

I watched that too! The rabid raccoon that made it's home next to the baby's nursery was especially creepy. No way would I ever feed or invite those nasty suckers near my house.

I just saw that. Sweet story and a great looking couple. -
Sevin dust is toxic to humans and pets (although not as toxic as other pesticides). Get Advantix or Frontline at PetSmart. It kills both fleas and ticks.

Homeaway.com is good too.

I felt bad for that kid. The guy cooking came across as a jerk when that happened. -
Could he have been a census worker?

I enjoy the beaches of Costa Rica, but I much prefer the volcanoes and rainforest instead. The weather is great, the sights are incredible, and there's more to do. This is my fave hotel http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g309226-d866587-Reviews-Arenal_Nayara_Hotel_Gardens-La_Fortuna_de_San_Carlos_Arenal_Volcano_National_Park_Province_of_Alajuela.html but there are way cheaper places to stay that are just as clean and safe. The Arenal volcano area is the best part of the country in my opinion. As far as beaches, the Nicoya Peninsula is beautiful. For beaches, skip Jaco or Playa Hermo

Where did you stay in Costa Rica? I've been three times, traveled the country for weeks at a time in a rental vehicle. I've never had a problem and I've NEVER heard it referred to as dangerous. It's quite the opposite which is why it's such a haven for American expats. The Domincan *is* dangerous, unless you aren't going to venture outside the grounds of an all inclusive resort. Which is something I'll never do again. You might as well stay in the US at that point if you aren't going to actually see the country and meet the residents. If you have any questions about Costa Rica, I'

Speedos are considered inappropriate attire?

I've seen them while in Costa Rica and they are incredibly boring to watch. But cute nonetheless.

I'll never understand why people don't know NOT to drive through the gore/safety zones. Do they think that someone at the DOT was bored one day and decide to paint lines in the road for the fun of it? What's next, tic tac toe boards and hopscotch painted on Dallas Highway?

The tire commercial that shows all the woodland creatures run over with tire tracks on their stomachs. It creeps me out. And any Zaxby's commercial.

Stay away from the "donkey shows"!
