  1. I clicked on the link provided above and pulled up what looks like a flyer. It gives the location as "110 Thompson Road, Dallas, GA 30157". Isn't Thompson Road HIRAM, not Dallas?
  2. I felt it in New Hope from inside the house! However, I will have to admit that I am extremely sensitive to feeling vibration, even from car stereo speakers passing on the street while I am in the house. I have felt the little 3.0 earthquakes that North Georgia sometimes will have and it probably doesn't help that our house is almost on solid granite (the builder had to dynamite to get the back and side walls of the basement underground). When I felt it tonight I immediately asked hubby if he felt that, he said no. I told him it felt like a vibration and I thought I heard either front windows
  3. Good ole' Ft. Hood Texas! Yes at the hospital on the base. I would have been born in Dallas, GA as both sides of my families are from here, but Dad was stationed at Ft. Hood. He and mom lived there when I was born. A few months later they were back in Dallas with me. Later on my brother was born here in Dallas.
  4. In the state of Georgia if you have a CCW and want to purchase at a gun show, then simply take in your CCW card and a photo ID. That's it! My husband and I have both purchased new weapons at a gun show year before last and that was all that we needed. Just FYI a lot of the dealers at gun shows may be from out of state, so they may only be in the state for a couple of days for THAT show. Always get business cards and receipts from any dealer you purchase from. Many of them have websites, so you can ask for a business card to browse them online later. This is great if you find an ammo dealer you
  5. Please post pricing and other range info. as you find out. I am sure my husband will be very interested in this, as am I. I think the original one, that was being built, was all indoors. Is this one also indoors?
  6.
  7. Good morning! The heat index is expected to hit 100 today, so please everyone be safe.
  8. We get one free checking account with Bank of America because we use electronic deposit. A 2nd checking account with them is free because of a credit line we have with them.
  9. Ulta off of Barrett Parkway in the Target shopping center seems to carry many brands, sizes, prices, etc in flat irons. Other than that I don't know too much about them. I love Ulta. I buy a lot of products there, including some hair products.
  10. My husband frequently buys from there. They are in Villa Rica. The only problem is that they are closed Saturday and Sunday.
  11. Be very careful about this. My husband has very severe varicose veins that seems to be hereditary in his family. So severe that the veins are bulging knots and his feet have purple splotches that his doctor says is where the blood is "pooling" in them. About 1.5 years ago he developed a leg ulcer due to the varicose veins and we had to purchase a pair of the "prescribed" stockings. They were over $90 for one pair and our Humana PPO insurance would not cover them, even though it was for a medically necessary reason and he had a written prescription! Not long after that he started seeing a
  12. We have had the exact same experience. We have been with Waste Industries for years for just the trash. When we recently changed to trash + recycling we started paying LESS than what we were for just the trash alone! Our recycling instruction sheet that we received from them said that we didn't need to separate and bag the recycling, but I still do.
  13. I am addicted to ANY forensic true tv shows. Add in my addiction to most medical info and it can get strange to watch them with me. Just ask my husband who eventually got use to watching Dr. G with me while we are eating dinner! My late night channels are either ID or the Chiller channel. I have a few friends who are the same way. I now have a problem with the fact that I have seen most of the shows, so almost all of them are reruns to me.
  14. Good morning. (Pssssttt...it's July 14th.)
  15. Is a nightowl from the chronic insomnia. Tonight throw in hot flashes and a headache. I think I need a wet washcloth for my forehead at this point. Warm banana pudding made with homemade pudding and real whipped egg whites remind me of my grandmother's pudding. She made it that way and has been gone since I was 18. This isn't the only time I have thought of her tonight either. To me the bananas have a slight "tang" when the pudding is still warm.
  16. The 23 lb baby was born in 1879, so I am thinking it probably WASN'T born by C-section! OUCHIE!
  17. Oh, I definitely will not be there. I have central air, with ceiling fans AND a portable, rolling type of AC in my bedroom because I can't stand the heat. Being outdoors in this kind of heat has me dizzy within about 20 minutes, without exertion. I was referring to the safety concerns of others who will be there. The rules in the link that was posted in this thread states that participants must dress appropriately for the weather. That implys the event will be held outdoors. "Participants, Alternates and Guests must remain in their designated spot on the premises until the Grand Opening of th
  18. Subby might be able to do it, because he already does stay out in the heat all day (with his 2 frozen gallons of water of course!).
  19. I can't believe that everyone would be required to stay OUTSIDE in this heat for this! Wednesday our temp is supposed to hit 95 degrees with a heat index value as high as 110! National Weather Service forecast for Dallas, Ga
  20. The forecasted heat index value for Monday is 102 and Tuesday it is 105. The National Weather Service forecast for Dallas, GA
  21. I thought Arizona was supposed to be GOOD for those with breathing problems? My lungs hurt just thinking about it! ACK!
  22. Here is my link with the Orlando Sentinel. It runs live without commercials. I say she gets life in prison. Casey Trial Orlando Sentinel
  23. Every 2-3 years we will go and purchase about $300-$400 either in Alabama or S.Carolina. My husband prefers the "mortor shells" that explode in huge bursts. On Millineum New Year's Eve my hubby, his roommate at the time (we weren't married yet), and several neighbors went in together and had about $800+ in fireworks. That year they took the precaution of saturating the roof tops with water BEFORE the fireworks were started! LOL
