It is probably because when ever Roxio was was installed it was setup to default to what ever particular format you have on the DVD. What you will probably need to do is right click on the file you are trying to open and select open with and then choose program, then select media player from the list. If media player does not show on the list might have to browse for it. If you are not using the Roxio any more might want to check the box to use media player for that program.

Been using Dr Kuzio as my PCP for 6 years now. Him and his staff are wonderful. I usually see one of the PAs Julie or Jamie, but Dr Kuzio is always around if you need to talk to him also. Taxes went up $4. The Homestead Exemption is all smoke and mirrors. They never did "give" any money. They just don't collect the money. The just figure out how much they are "losing" every year then add that amount to the budget and say they have a Homestead exemption "fund".
