Good to know I was wondering about it the other day.
-
I am shopping for a car for the wife/family. Short story is I have narrowed my search down to basically 2 vehicles that I like and would consider buying. The issue I am having is with the mileage versus the age of the vehicle. Vehicle A is a 2005 with 53,000 miles 1 owner. Vehicle B is a 2009 (built in 2008) with 48,000 miles, rental/fleet vehicle. I have checked the car fax on both of them and the mileage is correct on both cars. I like A because it was not driven a lot of miles for its age, and priced lower then B, however it has slight cosmetic damage to the rear lift gate.

Happy Trails Folks.........................
HardwareDJ replied to EagleWings's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think the fact that you said if people need to keep in touch they have your email or phone number and then you said "adios amigos" would indicate to the casual observer that you are leaving the wonderful world of Pcom. Other wise why say anything at all. -

I need to do more shopping at Home Depot.

You should have listened to your 5 year old. If you really believed that someone trolling the parking lot looking for money to pay their "medical bills" is for real I got a bridge in Arizona to sell you. $10 lesson learned.

It always amazes me why people have to look into the other car while driving or at a stop light. I prefer to focus on the road.

If you want to sell/advertise something you are suppose to have a Commerce membership.

Well then doing anything BUT driving would be considered a distraction. I use to carpool with a guy who could not even carry on a conversation with a passenger(me) without getting distracted. Not to mention if there was a pretty girl driving in the car next to him. He spent more time oogling her then paying attention to the road. I actually quit carpooling with him because he could not pay attention to the road.

Your cell phone has more germs than a toilet handle...
HardwareDJ replied to greg30127's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Well unless you are letting others use your cell phone, the germs all pretty much belong to the owner anyway. And how did the germs get there in the first place? It is not like the phone grows germs on its own. They get there because they are transferred to the phone from the user so you already have the germs on you before it even gets to your phone. Probably the reason the phone then because a breading ground is because the phone generates heat and a lot of germs thrive in a warm environment. But bottom line is the germs start somewhere else and the user is the person who trans -
Disclaimer:I have not read the law. I have been wondering what they will define "texting" as. What if you are reading a text? Is that still "texting"? How will they actually prove that you were texting and not just holding your phone in your hands? Will the LE be allowed to supeona your cell phone records to prove you sent a text at a certain time? I see a lot of grey area in this law. Remember the burden of proof is on the Government. You do not have to prove you are innocent, they have to prove you are guilty. I can see the courts getting clogged up with texting c

They all basically do the same thing. What you want to look for is the features that they have and find one in your budget that has all the features that you want and need. A $1000 treadmill does the same thing that a $200 treadmill will do. It will just have more bells and whistles and cost more for the same principle function. I think the keys to look for is the variety of programs that the treadmill has and a heart rate monitor.

tough question. PC people will tell you PC is best, MAC people will tell you MAC is best. I have never used a MAC so can't compare them. It really depends on what you are using the PC for and if the MAC can do the same thing or more.

We are billed for the full year but can pay it in 2 installments.

For those who have lived in a subdivision with a HOA what do you do if you know you will not be there for the entire year? I will be selling my house and moving at the end of May. Therefore I do not see where I should have to pay the entire annual HOA fee and will just be paying half. But how do I let them know I will be moving and do I have to prove I no longer reside there? I was thinking of just sending a letter along with my payment as a courtesy.

Anyone know if there is a map online of the school districts?
-
That would explain the 3 SO cars that passed me by on E Paulding by the rec center running code and then the 2 others that were coming up the other way all turned on Tobe Mcgarity followed shortly by Clark and Rescue. I heard that area is a known drug area but that could just be rumor.

Interracial couple denied marriage license in La.
HardwareDJ replied to adult.'s topic in RECENT TOPICS
Pubby said it best. As a Government employee it is not his decision on whom or whom not he can marry. As long as the couple meets the Government requirements for a marriage license he is obligated to marry them regardless of his personal feelings. Unlike a preacher who is only bound by his faith. The JOP obviously wanted to make a public statement about his personal beliefs. Otherwise he would have just politely asked one of his colleagues to do the deed. -
Woman Disabled by THIS YEARS FLU SHOT (10 days AFTER vaccination )
HardwareDJ replied to Dreamwriter's topic in RECENT TOPICS
A tragic story for sure. But no where in the News cast was it proven that she got dystonia from the flu vaccine. They simply said they "thought" that was the cause. Of course we have know way of knowing if there was underlying condition that she might have had that in combination with the flu shot caused this issue. She said she was training so there is the distinct possibility that she was also taking supplements and dieting. That could have have had an effect in conjunction with the flu vaccine. We will really never know. Most people who either have a adverse reaction or d -
Has anyone ever done a short sale on their home?

You could just turn over the deed. -
HOA's have a needed place in society. Otherwise people would just go crazy. I have received several violation notices for stupid stuff like the garbage can being in front of the house. Of course all my other neighbors also have their garbage can in front of their houses also so I just throw the notice away and nothing ever comes of it. It is just some neighbor who has nothing better to do then be a nosey body. You can go through pretty much ever convenant protected neighborhood and find violations. Technically in my subdivision you are not allowed to park your car in your
