I've met Will and he is a very smart well spoken young man. He is in politics for the right reasons, and although I still have reservations about how well he can resist the pressures to "get along" under the dome, I am quite willing to listen to him, just as he was willing to listen to me. He is not an Obama Democrat, and has some good ideas. I would truly enjoy a debate between Will and Paulette. I honestly think that Will would pull off the win in a face to face with no catch phrases, no slogans, no name calling, no pandering, just a good old fashioned discussion of the problems facing Ge

Also give J-Rods diner a try. The seafood platter is da-bomb. The fried and blackened shrimp is to die for.

I hope that you mean the mineral seasoning and not real gunpowder. Besides sulphur tastes like....well....sulphur. I'll have to stop in and give it a try.

File a report immediately with UPS, the postal inspector's office, as well as the PCSO. Place a fraud watch on her credit reports with all three agencies. Chances are that if she didn't actually deposit the checks, they will not be able to get anything from her. They will probably contact her wanting them "returned" in the form of cash or valid money orders. Ask the SO and the Postal inspector if they want her to play along if she gets a call or letter asking for something to be returned. This will get them an address or account number of the offender, but it is most likely in Nigeria or

Glad it's working out for you!

The whole section 8 program is designed to be abused. If you get a section 8 tenant into a house, and they quit paying their portion, and from my experience they will, they simply break the toilet repeatedly and tell section 8 that the plumbing doesn't work. It is nearly impossible to collect the tenant portion of the rent or to evict them for non payment. The lease is up and they are long gone to take advantage of the next sucker before you can collect. I had 3 houses under section 8 for two years. In that time I had one family that IMO really needed and deserved the subsidy, and they were

Only about 9000 people in the city are living below the poverty level, and the estimates of the number that showed up range from 25,000 to 30,000. It is probably also save to assume that the majority of those 9000 are receiving some sort of housing assistance already. It's all about something for nothing for many of these folks, not about trying to survive unfortunate circumstances.

You are simply stating that he no longer tries to fatten his wallet at the expense of the taxpayer and to the exclusion of other private enterprises. He lost and got caught, that's what happened, at least the way I read the evidence. He had a no bid contract with a state agency that put $150k in his pocket every year, and there is substantial evidence that he tried to use his position to maintain that situation after the State Agency in charge of the program tried to save the taxpayers $1.7 million by modifying or eliminating the program. This happened long, long, before any run for Governo

EMC Security. They even called me to remind me that I hadn't tested my system for over a year. $16.95/month and they add it to your electric bill if you are a Greystone customer.

Bingo! The catch 22 of Section 8 and government aid in general.. He moves into the house but his income isn't counted if they are not legally married. She claims welfare and food stamps as well as Peachcare, and he pays for the Escalade with 27 inchers, the Mercedes, the 50" big screen and the $200 jeans. And it's all perfectly legal. Some couples have been doing it for years. It makes it doubly hard for the people who really need the help. There are people that make a career out of screwing the taxpayers as well as the truly needy.

I would like to see Deal address the allegations and not just dismiss them as politics. There clearly was something there, and I can't come up with any "innocent" explanation as to why a US congressman would intervene in state contracts with a company he has an interest in if it wasn't to use his influence to fatten his wallet. If there is a good explanation, let's hear it. We have heard what Mr. Graham has said, and we have seen the emails between Riley and Chandler. These are serious charges that include Honest Service Fraud, Using his position for personal gain, improper use of approp

Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase
lotstodo replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Thank you Whitey, but that just tells us that they intend to spend their new found 1 mil, not what specifically would have had to be cut had they not raised the rate. There were no alternatives presented as to how to balance the budget with just cuts, only the statement "In my opinion and with careful consideration the only responsible option is to slightly increase the millage rate." His "exhibits" showed that the budget would have to be reduced, well no duh. Show exactly what has to go to reduce the budget by $3 million. That's what I mean by alternatives. -

Show me the projected shortfalls. That's all I'm saying. Show me exactly what and who will have to go if they don't get the 1 mil. SHOW ME THE DAMN BUDGET. Is that so hard for everybody to understand? Don't feed me bullcr@p about natural disasters. My experience has been that if somebody wont show you alternatives, it's because they don't want you to consider the alternatives. -
Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase

I would be happy if they showed me a need for the increase, instead of passing it without a corresponding budget discussion. The budget for 10-11 was passed with a known revenue stream based on last falls collections. This was a move to protect the faithful from the wrath of the voters. We're not the ones being disingenuous, the BOC is. And in the overall scheme of things, yes I would much rather have my net worth considerable more than it is now, and my real assets far more liquid. I would expect that most would also. In fact, only an idiot wouldn't. In an more realistic world, t -
That picture of me and the wife was taken in 1978. You can tell by the suit that I was respectable by then.

I read your post, but I guess that I mistakenly believed that your comments about her presumed lack of experience and her association with "pageant queens" was a negative comment on her qualifications, and not a legitimate request for information on her background. Had I properly understood, I would have tried to answer. But I assure you that any answer would have been bombarded by the Deal faithful. This FOX 5 BIO should answer most of your questions.

Yup, it was. But it likely had nothing to do with the National organization. See Post 27

Research is your friend, or at least it should be. The Warmists are fleeing the ship as we speak. They are beginning to tout the fact that they haven't been brought up on criminal charges or dismissed from their respective universities, even though many have been "reassigned". Anthropomorphic Global Warming is a business, not a proovable scientific theory. When all you have is a hammer, then everything looks like a nail. They have violated one of the strongest tenants of scientific research, and that is to start with a conclusion and searching for any thread of evidence to try and prove it
