How do some people even make it out of school?

Is English her first language? -
I heard him on TV.....not so committed. He gave a very "political" answer. Said he would be in favor of the federal government allowing states to enforce immigration law like they do other federal laws. In other words, no.

Anyone see this article about Steve Golden?

Dude, as a voter it is our job to be judgmental. This isn't church, but I understand how y'all might not understand that difference. And we know the whole story. There are conservative honest candidates without a sordid past of any kind, and it isn't our job to forgive your parishioner's transgression. -
This was proven in California where they scrapped a system very similar to ours in favor of a roadside testing procedure (except where the Federal Government (EPA) mandates and micromanages programs). The EPA didn't give a rat's patoot and still mandates this silly scheme in urban areas we are stuck with. The roadside procedure deployed "sniffer trucks" along roadsides that accurately measured tailpipe emissions of passing vehicles in real world situations, usually on entrance ramps to expressways or on long stretches of highway. They caught the big polluters, and tests using the EPA man

There appear to be quite a few reasons to vote one way or another on this candidate without the manufactured drama. This isn't my district, but I can say that my mind was made up about her without any rumors or innuendo. You either like what and who she represents or you don't. This was probably the easiest decision to make. -
Sounds like it's too bad that Vernon isn't running in another Post huh?

Does anyone know who Gov. Perdue is backing?
lotstodo replied to PauldingMom's topic in Paulding County NEWS
PM I don't believe that he has endorsed any one candidate. It does appear that Deal has the financial backing of the powerful within the party, although I imagine that is more of a loyalty thing. -
Bureaucratic Insanity has breached pandemic stage inside the beltway. The IRS has have been handed lots of juicy new rolls like verifying that you have "acceptable" healthcare coverage. They also define "acceptable". They also fine you for a violation. The IRS currently employs about 92,000 people. The CBO estimates that that will increase by 16,000 and cost $1.5 billion per year just to enforce the Obamacare mandates. No Sally, that money was not included in the much touted CBO estimate of the costs of Obamacare used to "prove" that Obamacare didn't hardly raise the deficit. It seams

I believe that it was Wayne. My mistake. At any rate, Tommie has done nothing more or less than exactly what he promised and what we asked and that is to be a good steward of all of Paulding's tax dollars and make sure that the citizens of Paulding have a bright future when the recession turns around. Tommie is a good man with a good head on his shoulders and the interests of his constituents on his mind. He is not beholding to any one group or person as witnessed by his stealer voting record of supporting a diversified tax base and getting value for our tax dollar. We need 3 more of him.

I didn't wade through all four pages, but.... They are buying influence for their fundamentalist views of Islam with the use of Persian Gulf Oil Money. Have been since the 70's. They finance about 90% of all mosque buildings. What you have to ask is why here? Why would a peace loving group of Muslims want to greatly expand a community center and Mosque so near the site of what most of the world would call radical Islam's worst act and the radicals themselves view as the greatest triumph against the infidels? Why so near American sacred ground in the fight against radical Islam? Why

Mr. Avery seems like an OK fellow, but the only way I would vote for him is if he agreed to quit the day after he voted the same way as Hank Johnson. -
You can contact a well driller like Adams-Massey in Carollton, or if the well is still fully operational, you can take a water sample over to the health department for testing. In any case, the well should be pumped for a few days before testing the water. Even if it is questionable for drinking water, you might use it for irrigation.

Darwin Carter: “There are no ethics at our Ethics Commission.”

A link or full reference to the AJC article would be nice. It's kind of hard to comment on without information. -
What about the other statewide offices ?
lotstodo replied to surepip's topic in Paulding County NEWS
???? She was the only Constitutional Officer to decrease the size of her office through permanent cuts and increased efficiencies in the last 4 years. As Fulton Commission chairman she fought a $100 million shortfall through cuts, not tax increases. She is probably the only candidate that hasn't promised teachers a raise (in other words, the only one honest about the fact that we don't have the money). -

The Title of the Article should be Ron Davis shows his true colors. Maybe Ron could try to be a little less transparent next time. -
Handel and Barnes are the only ones who can even come close to spelling the word "ethics", and I'm not so sure about Roy. Roy ran this state like he owned it, and crossed a few technical lines in the process, usurping constitutional power as he went. I don't know that any of those lines was crossed in the interest of enriching either himself or his cronys however, it appeared to be in the interest of power alone.

Now that people have had time to discuss his dalliance that ruined his first marriage, I think that it is pretty much a non issue. Not so much in the special election, where he touted his religion and his morality, and then at the eleventh hour was sprung the news of such a personal transgression, in fact with most not knowing a thing about it until after Mr. Stout cast his first vote in the legislature. Now it's out there and voters can make up their own minds. His voting record speaks for itself. Mr. Avery, I thank you for trying to stick to the issues. That is a rarity these days.

Just so I have this straight, she and her supporters are protesting because her lawyer had to have the case continued. Whatever.

Restaurants that put the salt in the pepper shakers and the pepper in the salt shakers so that you can't get 2 flakes of pepper out and you get enough salt to cure a ham. That chaps my butt.

Like my father said: "At least act like you know somebody with good sense."

She will look just fine in international orange. Jail the brat. Maybe that will knock some sense into her head and get her to take this whole ordeal seriously before she winds up another corpse surrounded by an entourage like so many before her.

That's great news. I wonder what the rating would be if we actually adequately staffed the stations 24/7?
