Majority and minority may swap, but the race card will always be played when convenient.

Where? I'm self employed and I have served on 3 juries. I begged out once and was called again the next month. Nobody asked me if it would be a hardship.

I stuck my nose in something that didn't concern me

Good job, however in this day and age you risk getting your lights punched out just by reminding them of how fast their baby can be. A few years back, I was driving through the parking lot at a strip mall and a 2 year old darted out in front of the car. I thought that I had hit him, but thankfully I didn't. His mom was talking on a cell phone facing the other way about ten feet down the sidewalk and didn't even turn around until maybe an entire minute later a witness asked her if it was her kid. She was actually incredulous that the lady interrupted her phone call. -
Tell her to call a lock-out service next time. Put the number in her cell phone. BTW, with most cars a duplicate key without the chip will unlock the doors. You just can't start the car. Sew one inside her bra.

Sorry to hear that. I had heard that he was ill.

Just wondering out loud. No tin foil hat required.

It kinda makes you wonder doesn't it. There is no doubt that his interview will be worth far more with this ridiculous verdict than it would have been with a reasonable one.

Can we lock these things please.

If you recently got an "urgent" popup for a Microsoft update, that is a virus that affects Firefox. Urgent Microsoft Update may be Firefox Malware I have use Firefox for years on Windows and Linux machines and have no problems with it. Make sure it is up to date.

Hang in there.

The language and intent is very straight forward to somebody with even a passing knowledge of the English language. I will grant you however, that the commerce clause seems that way also. By stating that only a moron would interpret it differently acknowledges the fact that the world is full of morons, and their main habitat is a gold dome.

Hey, at least they weren't setting them off during a code red fire emergency like they were a couple of years ago. Small solace, I know. P.S. Why did TC get a minus for starting the thread. I fixed it for you TC.

Lying on YOUR resume, is not fictitious identifying information. Presenting a stolen or fabricated resume under a fictitious name is. Presenting yourself as someone else is fictitious identifying information, and this is the target. Quite simply put, if Joe Blow presents himself as John Q Public and has false documentation identifying himself as John Q Public, he is in violation of the identity theft law. It's not rocket science. The spin here is amazing.

So who is an "inbred Baptist right wing idiot"?

I believe the saying around here is "Delta is ready when you are".

Read post # 14. Where does it say the words "alien" or "illegal alien"? It doesn't. The law applies equally to all persons. It simply describes the fact that using false documents in order to obtain employment shall now be part of the existing (16-9) identity theft code and describes the punishment for violation of the section. Article 8, Chapter 9, of section 16 applies to everybody. Identity theft is identity theft, and using false documents for the purposes of obtaining employment is rightfully identity theft. The laws are exactly equal for everybody as long as everybody is a person

More NPR and ZOO progressive propaganda. Those using fake ID to seek employment should be severely punished, and no kid buying Cigarettes is going to get 15 years. This belongs in the political forum with the rest of Zoo's leftist diatribes.

Illinois has executed only 12 people since 1976, and none since 1999. The then Governor placed a moratorium on executions ten years ago. If you don't use it, it only leads to protracted legal battles and multi-million dollar trials. Now tell me who was executed in Illinois that was later found to be innocent?

Salvage airbags are legal, but they should be installed by a professional. In many cases sensors and other parts must be replaced or reset also, and the bag should be carefully inspected by someone who knows what they are doing before installation. The last thing you want is the bag going off by itself for no reason or for it to not deploy in a serious accident. A lot of body shops won't install bags that are over a few years old because they have found them to be unreliable. I would definitely consult a professional and let them do the work. It could save your daughter's life.

Amazon cuts advertising ties with Calif. websites over tax
lotstodo replied to lotstodo's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The law is quite simple and forthright. If you have a physical presence such as a warehouse, distribution center, retail outlet, factory, or an on site customer service center IN YOUR NAME AND /OR OWNED OR OPERATED BY YOUR COMPANY AND IT'S EMPLOYEES in a state, you must collect and pay sales tax in that state. SCOTUS has ruled quite explicitly on this. In fact they said that a warranty repair operation owned and operated by a third party within a state is NOT a physical presence by the company whose product is being repaired. They have also ruled that warehouses that house and distribute th -
When will they learn. In an attempt to "generate revenue from lost sales tax opportunities", the state of California has imposed what many call the "Amazon Tax". A 1992 Supreme Court decision prevents states from charging sales tax on companies without a "physical presence" in the state. California and some other states have recently taken that to mean that any company with an affiliate advertising program in the state qualifies. The Supreme Court has yet to rule if a contract with another company constitutes a physical presence in state or not (most legal observers say no), but in the mea

What would be a Godsend would be if Beavers sets a court date, but that would make entirely too much sense for the legal system Hang in there SP.

He was already able, with cause, to give the boot to other locally elected officials, and a school board should be no different. In the case of Clayton, in particular, it was patently obvious that the board was the problem. I think that El's stepping down may help Atlanta's cause if the remaining members can draft a sound leadership plan in the next week or so.
