  1. I am not complaining, our was 159.00. That is the lowest bill I have ever had in this house. We have been very deligent about turning off lights, unplugging things and so forth. Its been paying off, we have not had a bill over 200.00 all year. I am very happy.
  2. Well, my daughter may get off restriction this year. Her dad told her when she was 13 or 14 that she was grounded until the Falcons won the super bowl. She is now 26. We laugh at this every year. Her dad passed away 11 years ago, but she always tells me at the start of the season that she hopes dad helps the falcons so she can get off restriction this year.
  3. What a great story, I would'nt expect anything less than this from our Marines or any of our military people for that matter. When my son was in ROTC they were at a raiders meet. During the 5 mile run a guy from another school tripped and twisted his ankle. 2 of our guys picked him up and carried him to the finish line. No our guys didn't win but it was announced that they had helped someone they didn't know to finish the race. This got a bigger applause than the winners. This is what team work is ALL about. It made us all very proud.
  4. Where is your office located at? I would like to come by and pick up some signs and stickers. Thank you so much.
  5. I read an update on Mitch on WSB. They stated he is staying with a local family and has gained 10 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I know there is a fund set up with one of the local banks to help him. The sisters are in foster care. The parents are still in jail but have a bond hearing on Thurs. Hoping they are denied bond, and IMHO I think they should serve at least 10 times what they put this young man through, 40 years in jail would probably still not be long enough for what he and his sisters have had to deal with over the last several years. Praying for this young man and his sisters.
  6. I made that exact comment to my son a few minutes ago. People must have forgot how to drive in the rain. Stay safe out there.
  7. Thank you for posting this, called hubby to let him know he needs to cut through coming home from work.
  8. If the lady had done as the officer had asked she would not have been pulled from the car and arrested. Now she is threatening to sue which is stupid. She had the option to keep this from escalating by doing as she was asked to begin with, he probably would have told her to slow down and let her go, or at the most given her a ticket for speeding.
  9. My mom called and told me about the first plane, I turned on the tv and was watching as the second plane hit. My sister called and I was trying to tell her what was going on because they were having problems getting internet connections to work. The lady that sat next to her was in histerics because her daughter lived in NYC and was suppose to be at the towers at 8:30 to pick up a book she had ordered and she could not get in touch with her. I was still on the phone with sister when the first tower fell, I went into a crying fit when I realized what had happened. She could not say anything bec
  10. My nephew got a ticket from PCSO several months ago for the same reason. He was on 278 they had a car pulled over, he got over in the left lane slowed down to 45 (speed limit was 65). His dad went to court with him. The judge asked him some questions and he answered, then my brother asked if he could address the court and the judge allowed it. He had researched the law and asked the judge about getting over and slowing down which his son had done. The judge then questioned the officer and the officer stated that he did get over but he did not slow down enough. The judge asked him how he knew w
  11. Prayers, for you and your family. Also, praying for this sweet little girl.
  12. I don't understand the Dr.s feelings that it couldn't be Lyme. If there is a test is it so expensive that the insurance co don't want them to give it? I mean give me a break, if there is even a chance that you may have it then why not test even if you are just ruling it out. It makes no sense.
  13. GG, I think that a lot of us were raised to give to others without expecting anything in return. I know that I was. When my husband of 17 years was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer my family, church and friends stepped up and they stepped up big. I don't know what I or my 3 kids would have done without all of them. I know that in my heart I have tried to pay forward and help others as I was helped through the worst days of my life. I hope and pray that everything goes according to Gods plan for you and your family. I know that He has a plan for you and its great that we get to experience i
  14. Praying for you GG, when they are a little older it will be like having twins. I have 2 boys that are 14 months apart, after the second one got up and walking it was almost like having twins. Most people who did not know us thought they were. May God bless you and your family for accepting this huge responsibility. What you all are doing for this baby is probably the greatest thing that will ever happen to her. She will be loved, cared for, and most of all not abused. Let us know if you need anything for this sweet baby.
  15. Wow, I think Papi should make up several of these BIG PAPI's and share so that we know if its as good as it looks or not. It looks really good Papi.
  16. My parents and I went to PCHS and voted about 2:30. There was 1 other person voting, but they said it had been fairly steady.
  17. That was great, the jerk got what he deserved IMHO. Thank you for the laugh.
  18. I would buy 500 acres of land, give my family 20 acres apiece and build them a house for each of them. Put a club house in the middle with an olympic size pool with all the amenities so we have a place to get together every week end. Build a 10-15 stall garage so my son, hubby and brothers could restore old cars. I would also like to find families that need help and help them get back on their feet. The Scottish Rite idea is a great idea considering I have 2 kids that were saved by Scottish Rite. One in 2000 and one in 2002, when my kids were under 18 that is the only place I would take my kid
  19. Pink Cricket, Praying for you today. Thursday will be 11 years since my love went to heaven. Its a hard day for me and our now grown children. Please know that you are not alone. May God bless you and keep you.
  20. What I would like to know is how a teenager or student is going to prove residency. Or even a person that all the bills are in their spouse's name. My parents for example, all the bills are in my moms name because she is the one that pays them every month, what is my dad suppose to do?
  21. Looks like Chick-Fil-A is having the last laugh. They are laughing all the way to the bank. They could not have paid enough money for all the advertising they are recieving. Love me some CFA.
  22. My aunt went a few days ago to renew hers and she has been married 2 times. They require that she has certified copies of BOTH the marriage license. Even though her first husband is dead, and she had the death certificate with her. Good luck to anyone going to get theirs renewed. Luckily my license had to be renewed in May on my bithday.
