The school schedule has nothing to do with the school calendar. Football practice has always started in the middle of summer. The coaches will determine when practice starts when the region releases the football schedule.

If you get the IR model is works like a TV remote control....no wires.
-
My friend has that model and I swear he has an IR remote shutter release for it.

Logic should over rule emotion. The fact is the mother cannot care for herself without assistance much less her child, the father can and is apparently willing. The child should go to the father because he should have equal rights to the child.

He must have been the Major then because GSP has the same chain of command that any other LE agency has. -

Because it is untrue just as you expected. I know in GA law the only exemption for a USPS vehicle is in the seat belt law. Here is the revelant section from the USPS employee handbook that can be found on the internet. Link from National Association of Letter Carriers -
Doesn't Official Car with Sirens Blaring have right-of-way

Why? Some agencies only issue take home cars to members of special units which are on call and expected to respond off duty for specific situations. Other agencies issue take home cars and consider it part of the officers compensation package. Either way....it is simply a cost of doing business. -
The clicking noise usually means the starter is bad or the battery is not supplying it with enough power to start. However, a bad starter would not make the engine stop if he was driving down the road. That leaves the alternator and the battery/battery cables. Either the battery/battery terminals have a problem supplying current to the starter or the alternator is not charging the battery. I would probably take the battery out and run it to and auto parts store that does free testing. If it tests good and it is charged I would bet on a battery terminal issue. If it tests good bu

I would say it is electrical and probably not the starter.

It is a drivers duty to yield the right-of-way to an emergency vehicle which is displaying emergency lights and siren. However, the driver of the emergency vehicle still must operate the vehicle so the danger to other motorists is minimized. -
I too am glad the immortal is finished. I did like the honesty of one announcer when discussing Tebow in the NFL draft. He talked for a few minutes about how he doubted a GM would draft him in the first round and how his throwing mechanics were way off. Tebow was a good player yet he was dramatically over hyped.

Must not be too much considering the companies cannot stay in business very long. Emory, with all their financial backing, had their own helicopters and could not stay afloat.

I LE responded a report was filed. However, if thaT is all that happened it would be for nothing more than suspicious activity until there is more details to investigate.

What do you think they can do since they basically have no information to follow up on?
-
That was my thought also. In the chaos of a accident scene there could have been a misunderstandng. There is absolutely no reason to call a helicopter for a facility 5 minutes away. It would take them longer to get them in the flight bag than it would to drive it.
-
I can understand why Littlefriend is frustrated with some of the comments. People who have no clue what they are talking about think they can judge a situation just from the outside appearance. I have seen my fair share of medical situations and I have never seen anyone in EMS call in a helicopter without good cause. It creates more work for them in the long run. I heard a guy complain the other day because his wife was flown from a wreck where her femur was broken. She was checked at a Emory and thankfully had no other serious injuries. He complained about the cost simply for a 'brok

When Air Methods took over the Omni Flight/Rescue Air 1/Emory Flight operations they closed everything in the area but Kennesaw. It dramatically decreased the options for an air ambulance. Paulding is pretty much relying on the Erlanger bird out of Calhoun. Even if they use Erlanger it is only a 15 minute flight in.

Just real estate direction signs. They can be erected on Friday after 12pm and must be removed by Monday at 12pm.
-
What is more expensive is the lawsuit filed when someone dies because they did not receive the needed medical care which was available. If they are not flown and they die you can bet the family will claim if they were flown to a facility with higher capacities they would have had a chance. People try to make a situation black and white when in reality it is gray. Many things cannot be diagnosed on scene. Many times the medics can only look at the severity of the visible injuries and then try to determine how probable it is there may be other life threatening conditions. If there is the

Sorry....I was speaking of Level 1 centers. Nope...we are actually in a period right now where many private providers are shutting their doors for financial reasons. The costs associated with an air ambulance company is staggering. The equipment, maintenance, flight costs, liability insurance coupled with the cost of pilots and medics 24/7 is huge.
-
The main issue is we are not close to a Trauma Center. You have Atlanta, Chattanooga and Birmingham which are all extended locations for ground transport. The medics have protocols they follow when assessing visible injuries and the potential for other life threatening injuries which may not be readily apparent depending on the situation. If the situation meets the criteria which is out of the expertise of an ER then a Trauma Center is where patient needs to be evaluated. The goal of the medical community is to obtain treatment within the golden hour. Transporting someone by from our loca

Not again....I am just recovering from the Christmas snow they forecasted. -
If the damage is not severe as you describe then buy the car back from the insurance company. Take the payout, get it repaired, pocket the rest.
