I would consider .13 middle of the road when it comes to level of intoxication. Most people would not be 'falling down drunk' and they would still be coherent. Just because you are intoxicated does not mean you cannot be a victim. Also, I am sure there was more evidence involved than just her statement.

If you have not used the camera since you deleted the pictures there is a chance since some programs are designed to recover lost data. If you have taken more pictures then the chances are pretty slim.

Huh? I would say she is the 'victim' at this point since he was arrested for several domestic violence charges. Of course....if you want we can blame her for his use of alcohol and for getting hit. That would be easier instead of hoping on Mr. Sheen would start acting like a responsible adult who would refrain from violence and intoxicating substances.

There is no way he would step down now because he is concerned about next years sucess or life without Tebow. If I was 'famous' I would go nuts and probably strangle someone. I could not imagine being unable to just do normal things without being bothered.

People steal things no matter how good the economy is. Don't automatically think that is the reason, most steal simply because they are thieves looking for personal gain at the expense of another. From my experience 75% of people shoplifting have enough money in their pocket to pay for the stolen items. It is criminals being criminals....not good people going through hard times.

They should really start punishing people who abuse the 9-1-1 system with unnecessary requests for Police/EMS. 9-1-1 is not there because your husband will not eat his dinner, because your neighbors grass clippings blew into your yard, because your neighbors 5yo pushed your child while they were playing or because your 8yo child is 'out of control'. Act like an adult, be a parent and realize no one has a magic wand which will solve all your problems.

Just because you are in your home does not give you an automatic pass to do what you want. The courts have ruled many times that anything viewable by the public from public property has no expectation to privacy. So leaving your blinds open and standing in front of the window looking at people walking down the sidewalk will get you in trouble.

This kind of stuff is really not surprising if you think about it. Most people leave their vehicles unlocked with all their expensive electronics sitting inside in plain view. If people make a profitable theft that easy there will always be criminals around who will try to capitalize on it.

The two go hand in hand...if you speed you have to get around the other traffic somehow. Sure...speeding does not kill people....the effects of speeding kill people. It increases stopping time, decreases reaction time of the driver, decreases reaction time of other motorists, increases the severity of accidents....the list goes on and on.

Well....I have only heard one side of the story so I am not under some automatic assumption the county is in the wrong and is only trying to avoid court. They very well may be putting a good bit of work in defending the citizens of this county from a legal action just like they should.

I would feel much worse if the county just 'settled' lawsuits to make people go away.

Unfortunatly, nothing you have posted proves any of the claims you are making. They are all just examples of the legal system.....nothing more. It costs lots of money to litigate when you have lots of potential money which could be awarded to another party. It does not matter if it is personal wealth, big business or government. Attorney's who take on cases where their client could potentially have a large sum at risk cost lots of money. The fact they offered not to counter sue really says nothing either. A private person rarely has the assests to make collecting the debt worth it.
